I'm starting to think SL was killed the night of the 1st date. BB could have sent the texts/msgs about the "great first date." Or I could be completely wrong. JMO MOO etc

I have a lot more digging to do because I did not realize there were two dates.

Maybe that first date was a "feeling out" date to confirm if SL always brought money with her on dates. The one way to ensure SL would bring money on the 2nd date was if they setup the date to go to a casino. Some simple comment like "Will you be able to bring enough money along for both of us to play the slots?" Or something along those lines would ensure their victim would have something worth robbing.

Sorry. Im really hung up on this robbery motive. I could be way off base.

The videos were uploaded rather than live-streamed right? I guess technically they could have been made anywhere at any time, we only know when they were uploaded.

Whereas the historical ping data of the actual phones would track their movements over the previous two weeks since SL's disappearance. Absolutely brilliant job by LE anyway.

I’m not feeling the robbery motive. What could they possibly rob from her? Bailey picked her up and all she would have had with was likely a purse and a cell phone. No car. More than likely not a large sum of cash. Maybe some weed? Given that Bailey used a fake name, it would have been easy to rob Sydney and she’d have no idea who Bailey really was since she went by Audrey online. I just don’t see that as a motive. JMO

It's been a long time since I've posted here but this case hit home with me because I grew up near where some of the activities surrounding it have occurred.

Things I've heard about the circumstances of how and where they found Sydney lead me to believe this case may not be as simple as we think. My guess is this case was trafficking or drug related and not just a date gone bad. I don't want to violate any rules or jeopardize the investigation so I'll keep it at that. Very sad. RIP Sydney and I hope whoever is responsible is brought to justice.

At least right now, I guess I am thinking they may have just tried to rob her and something went wrong where they felt they had to kill her. Like maybe they hoped that SL would never be able to identify them and maybe they realized SL would know how to find out where they lived or who they really were so maybe they felt they had to kill her to keep from getting caught.

Or maybe SL began to put up a good fight as she was being robbed.

The reasons I tend to think robbery is because the POI ended up at a casino if I read things right. I could see them going there if they ended up getting some funds from their victim.

The other reason I think they were trying to keep their true identify from SL was because of the strange videos they released. It showed that they were thinking to stay disguised. So I am betting they wanted to stay disguised from SL too.

I think SL probably only met with the female and I bet the male POI was not part of the initial meeting. I am kind of thinking right now that the female hoped to have robbed her and just run off and maybe the male person was close by if anything went wrong.

Just speculation as to the motive. I dont get a sense they had a very elaborate scheme whatever it was. Although I would not doubt if there are other victims of these two. They may have done this sort of thing before and maybe were getting better at it until they ran into SL.

Why would you rob someone on a second date? After they have told people about the first date? I cannot see premeditated murder ATM.

This is the very first case that initially involved a missing person in which I agree trafficking is a plausible scenario! It is brought up all be time and never seems likely to me. But I can see these two deadbeats deciding to lure women into something they can make money from.

Gosh those videos are odd. All covered up. Weirdo showing only one eye and the other one hiding behind glasses and a hoodie. The YouTube comments were hilarious. "No. You're not creepy as F!" Stuff like that.

If you look at old mugshots of AT you notice a thick mustache. He is covering his face to hide the fact that he shaved it off. Look at new mugshot and second video..clean shaven.

Iirc Sydney did not drive her own car to meet BB on the first date. I thought at the time that could be a little risky as normally one would meet in a public place for the first time. But Sydney was meeting a woman.
I wonder whether this was part of the duo's MO, to lure young women who felt "safer" with another woman.
I'm not sure Bailey is even gay, but she only presented herself that way.

I personally think that this was definitely part of the duo's MO.

Here's the picture. There's a shadow on his face but it looks like he has a mustache. Maybe someone can lighten up the picture to get a better view. I don't know how. I looked at BB's picture from the casino and she had not yet bleached her hair. My guess is the casino picture was taken the weekend after November 15, when SL went missing.

I’m just curious if anyone thinks Bailey was involved and not Aubrey? In the second video of Aubrey he is adamant and says that he may be a thief but he’s never hurt or let alone murdered anyone. Do you think there’s any truth to that or is he a cold blooded psychopath?

My opinion at the moment is that Bailey took Sydney from Wilber to that field and executed her there. I don't believe Aubrey was with them from the time Bailey and Sydney left Wilber. At the same time I strongly believe that Aubrey knew that Sydney was going to be killed.

Did he have a black eye in the video or was that not detected until the mugshot? I still would like to know how he got it. Did SL slug him or did LE have to tackle him upon arrest.

Does anybody have an old link handy that listed the 3 women missing from Nebraska around the time of Sydney’s disappearance? I can’t seem to find it.

I rewatched the Aubrey video and he states the same thing in both videos. That they had a girl (names “Katie” in the second video) with them for a week and the Omaha Police Dept kept calling Katie telling her she was in danger so they dropped her off the day before Thanksgiving, the 22nd. Says she was there to witness them trying to make contact with the police and was with them for about a week.

An actual week would be Nov 15-22nd.
