Another thing that strikes me as VERY strange is that in one of the videos, BB states she and SL "smoked pot, did wax and shatter (whatever those drugs are - don't care to know).

Why would she go into doing the drugs with SL in the video?

They're all variations of weed. I think she was just trying to say "we had a good time" in her own messed up way.

I suspect she mentioned that because Aubrey figured that if people learned Sydney was a drug user that most of the people trying to find Sydney or track down him and Bailey would lose interest. For him being a con man he totally misread his audience and/or over-estimated his conning abilities.

I am just catching up. But this reminds me so much of Lizzi Marriott case. It feels that the female did lure the victim. Maybe not for the same reasons as Lizzi, but for something. I don't feel it was robbery.

I am really surprise over the videos posted. I will have to watch them through but a few things from what I did see, caught my attention.

I feel sad for this young lady. She seem to have a good time, and probably a second date, you might be more trusting.

At least right now, I guess I am thinking they may have just tried to rob her and something went wrong where they felt they had to kill her. Like maybe they hoped that SL would never be able to identify them and maybe they realized SL would know how to find out where they lived or who they really were so maybe they felt they had to kill her to keep from getting caught.

Or maybe SL began to put up a good fight as she was being robbed.

The reasons I tend to think robbery is because the POI ended up at a casino if I read things right. I could see them going there if they ended up getting some funds from their victim.

The other reason I think they were trying to keep their true identify from SL was because of the strange videos they released. It showed that they were thinking to stay disguised. So I am betting they wanted to stay disguised from SL too.

I think SL probably only met with the female and I bet the male POI was not part of the initial meeting. I am kind of thinking right now that the female hoped to have robbed her and just run off and maybe the male person was close by if anything went wrong.

Just speculation as to the motive. I dont get a sense they had a very elaborate scheme whatever it was. Although I would not doubt if there are other victims of these two. They may have done this sort of thing before and maybe were getting better at it until they ran into SL.

Maybe they're disguising themselves because of other victims they have scammed and may recognise them?
Why would you rob someone on a second date? After they have told people about the first date? I cannot see premeditated murder ATM.

I wanted to add to my reply but had passed the edit window.

You said one reason for a disguise in the video would be to stay disguised from SL. If that was the case it would be because they thought SL was alive. Is that what you meant? If so that could indicate they did not kill her. So this is confusing me a bit. If they are innocent, how did their digital footprint lead to SL's body? That is a hard fact for them to explain.
As you say did they just want to rob or scam her and hope she would be too embarrassed or spaced out to report them, but then something went wrong?

AJMO.

Maybe BB lured in women for the both of them. Sydney wants no part in AT. He tried to push the issue, said no, asked to leave etc. Offended him...he's high on drugs....and the rest is history.

I don't think this was a robbery gone wrong. Why lure in a young girl who works at menards....and take the 2nd date to rob her??

I think she's trying to be cool and nice...like: all we did was a bunch of weed in every which way we could do weed, so I'm mellow so quit being all uptight on me - Syd's a nice girl and I dropped her off where she said she wanted to go and I'm sad she's missing, but all we did was smoke and hangout, right, Babe?

To think she fooled Sydney enough that Sydney was excited to see her for Date #2 is sad.

At this point, I can’t see an obvious explanation for what was going on. I don’t believe Bailey was really “ looking for love”. If you are, you don’t use a phone name. She and Aubrey are grifters; they were up to something. But what?

Sydney was a retail clerk. I don’t see how she would have been worth the trouble of any “shakedown scheme”. Certainly not one that could lead to murder. And, this was the second “date”. They knew Sydney’s situation.

It has occurred to me that they were looking “partner” to work with them and thought that a young women with a gay inclination who didn’t have a whole lot going on in her life might be a good fit. How that would lead to Sydney’s death isn’t so clear. Perhaps they offered her a taste of the High Life she could expect if she joined up with them and it went wrong. Realistically, in the Mid West, when someone disappears and then their body turned up, the most common explanation is opioid overdose. An accident that nobody involved wanted to be associated with once it became a law enforcement issue.

This is all speculation. We will know a lot more and be able to make more sense out of it once the results of the autopsy are know. My guess is that one of the two will cut a deal and it will all come out soon enough.

Yes, I think a possibility is this:

Date #1: BB charms Sydney, just the two of them.

Date #2: BB introduces Sydney to AT. Imo, this was a "test" to see how Sydney performs and to get her into hooking for them. I do think this was all a set-up from the start to traffick Sydney. Perhaps in the house in Wilbur they even filmed the acts for distribution. Perhaps they planned to push Sydney to work for them at the casino that night but something went wrong. Either Sydney resisted, OD'd (i'm not quite ready to give up that theory), or things got rough between the three of them and Sydney got hurt/killed. I think she died at the house in Wilbur and was then transported to the field.

You make it sound like she was a bum with nothing to loose , she was a young 24 year old girl with her full life ahead of her that didn't deserved to die. JMO

I think this is a very likely theory.

"Foul play" to me means more than an OD.

Yes, I agree. Still, I haven't given up the idea that hard drugs were part of Sydney's death, and not necessarily drugs Sydney wanted to take.

So true.

Also "gay inclination....."

She had been dating women for quite some time.

Perhaps it was an OD and whatever they did to cover up their crime makes it foul play.

I wonder how familiar AT and BB were both the area her body was found. There is a lot of protected marsh area over there so I'm sure they didn't plan on her being found so soon.

BTW, my first post here. I grew up in Wilber and have lived most my life there and this is just so scary that something so sinister could happen in my small hometown.

also, IMO, marijuana is not like meth or fentanyl or drugs in the opiate family. It is a not a drug (even in wax or shatter form) where the user is suddenly out of their mind and murderous IMO. IMO drugs may be involved in what happened, but it wasn't simply marijuana.

So very true. When I referred to AT/BB being on drugs I meant meth/heroin/etc. I don't see MJ as a drug. I think what most people hear is "wax/shatter" and they instantly think it's something terrible. I can walk across the street right now and buy some legally....so no.
