In most cases, local LE gets a warrant, and a extradition hearing is held in the court where the POI(s) are jailed. Here, the warrants are from a federal court. No signs of interstate crime right? That makes me think there is more to this case than meets the eye.

Keeping an open dialogue, sounds like they are waiting for one of them to turn on the other. Trail has not been served with the gun charge warrant, or been before a judge yet. Lincoln City isn't in a big hurry to extradite Boswell on the drug charges either.

Prior to this, it has been reported AT and BB were "two of the last people" to be with Sl. Now it is sounding as if investigators believe they WERE the last two to have contact with SL.

I think this was also implied by saying in the press conference that the LE believed there to be no danger to the public.

If you were planning to rob your date and had used an alias etc. to set her up for this, I just do not see you taking her to your own address to do so. It's too big a risk.


Also, your theory on the beginnings of the police investigation seem quite well thought out, I found it interesting as I must admit it is something I took for granted and never really thought about the details of before.
I had a couple of questions though...
If as you speculate LE discovered the POI by following the Tinder account, why would they go to AT at all? Surely this would have led them to BB alone, and certainly not to ATs ex.

We know that these POI have a interesting relationship to say the least, perhaps one or both of BBs phones were actually on an cell account with AT.

There does seem to be something more to this, or at least the FBI thinks there is. Usually the FBI steps away once a body is recovered and/or an arrest made. Their continued involvement could mean they are looking at cases beyond Sydney.

Or maybe the FBI became involved before Sydney was found, but after they connected the dots and knew AT & BB had left the state?

Not rambley, and good question.

This is all speculation and opinion, but logical nonetheless:

LE tracked BB to her address. They didn't find her there (she hasn't been there since they left town in all likelihood). I'm sure detectives asked around and got a bead on AT. These two may not be known around town, but the folks where they live knew who they were. Searching for AT most assuredly led to his ex.

Oh, IL have to go back and check but I had thought AT implied they went to the ex's house first. Not that I'm taking his word as gospel, but worth a wee look if you are using his video for corroboration.

One other interesting point is that LE said that AT and BB were "two of the last people" with SL, and not that they were "THE TWO last people" with her.

This "Katie" that AT mentions may also be a witness if it is true what he says in the video.

Can someone please explain why BB was arrested previously in Lincoln for possession of an ounce of marijuana and paraphernalia if it is legal in NE ?

Here's the picture. There's a shadow on his face but it looks like he has a mustache. Maybe someone can lighten up the picture to get a better view. I don't know how. I looked at BB's picture from the casino and she had not yet bleached her hair. My guess is the casino picture was taken the weekend after November 15, when SL went missing.

MJ is not legal in Nebraska. But, for what she got caught with, It's just a fine. She also has a failure to appear warrant on that charge.

I don't know the laws in Nebraska, but I agree..the failure to appear is what justified the warrant. It's not something LE would normally break any doors down for but it helped them in this case...as they said, they don't typically go down to Missouri for one of these warrants.

Marijuana possession and use are both illegal in Nebraska.

I find it interesting no charges have been brought against the POI's yet. They don't seem to be the average low level criminal losers. Is the federal POI hold on them significant?

I got the impression from reading the first thread that MJ was completely legal in Ne because of how it was described. So giving someone MJ would also be illegal as too would hanging out to smoke. What is the nearest legal MJ state to NE out of interest?

Ok so if they have a base in Missouri and are bringing MJ from a limited legal state to sell in a state where it is illegal that could explain the feds being involved I think. Interstate commerce? Or antiques?

The searches are along Nebraska Highway 41 from Wilber to where SL was found 60 miles to the west.

A candlelight vigil for Loofe is scheduled Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Sunken Gardens in Lincoln.
