Once again I am not blaming this mother but it would be more common for the mother to kill her own infant than a strange man killing her or taking her. Its a disgusting thought but it is more common. And we dont know if she was a devoted mom, we dont know if she was a bad mom, we know nothing about her really other than what we see on TV and what we hear on TV and in the news.

BBM The parents of the father of her son spoke up and spoke well of her. It is in general thread about 3 days into case.

If the handyman is not a infantophiliac or nepiophiliac, the term for someone who obtains sexual gratification from a child 0-3 yo, he may have seen her as a way to make money. It would appear that IF this guy is a hustler, a street person; IF it were possible to make a deal where he turns over a baby and gets money, he might. IMHO

*WARNING-graphic anecdote of child abuse in this paragraph*
Speaking of classes, as you did earlier in the thread, in a 'Domestic and Intimate Violence' university class that I took, when we were at the Child abuse section of the course, we studied one case on a reservation where a 2 year old girl was sexually abused by a man in his 40s, repetitive abuse. To hide his crime he poured hot wax into [internally] the genital area of the girl. When she was brought into the hospital, she was in very bad condition. She did live but required surgeries and long term care. There are sick people out there and there are many men who do perpetrate crimes against babies/infants. How long ago was it we heard of the man who raped his infant daughter in the hospital.

I am not discounting the handyman sightings/involvement.

One Eyed Jacks? Isn't that the name of the bar in Twin Peaks? Wow, though it means nothing, that is freaky.

Just for the record: A Google Search for "AKA Jersey," Kansas comes up with tons of results...apparently "Jersey" is a common nickname...probably because of Jersey Shore. If this "handyman," ex-neighborhood resident, possibly "homeless guy," with a red bike and a backpack is in his 20's then he could be a fan of The Jersey Shore. Then again, he might like the State, Jersey City, or the fabric/material...

or elude to him being a hustler

My dad and uncles, who thought that any one east of the Mississippi was a foreigner, would call a con artist/fast talker 'Jersey'.

Reminder to please keep theories grounded in what few facts we know about Lisa's case. We know very little about "Jersey" including whether he is one and the same as the alleged "handyman" seen about town. Where this post lands is random...

Meanwhile, detectives were near the Irwin home asking people about a guy called "Jersey." Neighbors said Jersey is an out-of-work handyman who rides his bike around the area.

The cops came asked us if we had seen a person, the handyman or "Jersey." I've never seen him before don't know who he is," said neighbor Carissa Carda.

The man reportedly frequents a bar called One Eyed Jacks.

Police were referenced a photograph of the man calling him a handyman.

Psst it's Missouri. :)

It seems a bit hinky that this handyman hasn't been seen since October 1st. However, I think that is the only reason that he is being sought out and that's because he hasn't been seen. IMO, I don't think he's involved in baby Lisa's disappearance but I could be eating crow after too. :)

"He went down the street one day with a gallon of whiskey," said Hoy.

???
Drives down ye olde property values!

Also makes one remember that particular person when a neighborhood child goes missing.

If this homeless guy was asking around for anyone who could give him a job, maybe someone paid him to take the baby?

I actually thought of that too, Cappucino. Crazier things have happened, I guess. :waitasec:

I'm sorry but a drunk homeless drifter IMO would make noise, leave fingerprints and be a sloppy thief and kidnapper......I just do not see him as doing a perfect crime.

Yes there are very sick people in the world but this just doesnt make sense. It would only make sense if the mom knew this man, JMO.

It would never make sense in ANY context. All he has to see is opportunity.
