That's the problem. Before all the technology we have now, this thing happened. Who knows, maybe there are some bodies in archaeological digs out there that were the victims of sexual predators.

It was an encouragement to know people want to help identify these little girls. Has anyone read the comments to the blog? There is a huge tip there - see the comments
Oak Hill ResearchJanuary 13, 2015 at 2:30 PM

Yesterday there was a comment posted here that we chose to remove because it mentioned several living persons. We have reposted the comment but removed both names:

The man who loaded trucks name was (NAME REMOVED) he was a man that worked carnivals. He was very nice looking but with acne he was bitten by a dog on his left cheek and had a nasty scar. He had shoulder length hair parted on the left. he was about 24/26 5foot ten/eleven hazel or dark blue eye's. He was a police officer? He had a badge. He was from Maryland. The barrels were from NY and carried sealant. Could be used for driveways or mobile home roofs. The family traveled with the carnival and from another country. They lived up above the store and they came to Allenstown NH because of the trucker and his helpers to work . The family originally stayed in a white camper that they lived in before the window blew out in a storm. There were three children and one woman. One of the middle children belonged to the trucker . The woman spoke broken English. One of the most mangled of the babies was a boy? ( I think)The Man who drove truck parked it beside the camper after the murders and The barrels showed up possibly when the mobile home was removed. The moving of the mobile home the burning of the store and the trucker are connected. (DIFFERENT NAME REMOVED). Start there.
The murder of the two eldest happened across the road from the store. The other two behind store.

BBM. Folks, just a heads up...Many people, such as Rose have dedicated hours and hours and hours and hours to WS. Many of us make errors and mistakes when we research, gather information, and post it for other WSers to have easy access to. This happens. We are a team. Here for the same goal. It is very important to be respectful and realize that your fellow sleuthers are volunteers....they are not paid to do this job, they have other lives, family, and obligations. Everything is here is volunteerism. It takes a team...sometimes it does take a fresh set of eyes to get things up to date or current. When diasgreeing or pointing out a data error, please be polite and courteous. When posting under anonymous names we often forget social etiquette. It is very difficult to detect tone and intent, sarcasm or sincerity at times. As there aren't non-verbal cues we need to make certain we are communicating respectfully and our words match our intent. Anyway, I have witnessed a few threads get locked because folks aren't being polite. If disagreeing or pointing out a mistake, please use terms such as Respectfully, IMOO, etc. Thanks! :loveyou:

Sorry, had a stomach virus go through my house. My little grandson got it so bad. Thank you <3
Hope Shane comes back

Interesting stuff there. I hope it leads somewhere.

I'm surprised that apparently we who lived a distance away heard more about the 2000 discovery than the people who lived next door.

I'm blanking out on a burned store. Anyone hear of that as something connected to this case?

Waffling on whether this tip is credible - if so, it's a little too credible. How would anyone know where the murders took place? They weren't found for years afterwards.

Police are still looking at this case:

http://www.wmur.com/news/19013578/detail.html

There's also a video and a picture of the place they were found. They were indeed found in barrels, first the adult and one child in 1985 and then in 2000 another barrel was found somewhere nearby when the case got assigned to a new trooper who went looking at the crime scene.

"In November 1985, a hunter found a tipped-over, 55-gallon drum near Bear Brook State Park, not far from a burned-down convenience store.
"You could see basically packaging of some type, and as he examined closer, he noticed there was a skull there," [state police Detective John] Sonia said."

It is still unclear what the precise relationship is but two children are related to the adult by DNA. I wish they'd say if it looks like the children have the same father but guess they don't know? What do you reckon are the chances that they have been reported missing separately? That only the children or some of them are on the missing persons lists? Or that only the woman is. If she's a transient she may have gone missing a while before being killed and may not have had the children with her then.

*Snip*

"Sonia said the four could be from Canada or transients. There are no reports of four people missing together from that time.

With a case this cold, investigators said they know forensic science is one way to get answers. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has produced composites of three victims based on their remains, but the descriptions are rather broad with large age ranges and race varying from Caucasian to Native American.

"When you have bodies that are outdoors for a long period of time, they are being exposed to the weather extremes, heat, cold and bacteria,' said Kim Rumrill of the stte police forensics lab. "All these things work against you trying to find a DNA profile."

Investigators are now turning to water. A new technique links isotopes found in drinking water to different regions of the country. Those isotopes are found in human hair, and samples from the adult victim are now being tested.

"If she traveled they can get the travel history because they analyze segments of the hair, each segment separately," Fallon said.

Police said it's the first of three steps -- learn where they're from, discover who they are, and then find the killer.

"There's a lot of, I guess, force involved," Sonia said. "Again, it's pretty brutal. So that shows some kind of level of intimacy to take those, to do that to the bodies and to dispose of them the way they disposed of them."

State police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 603-271-2663 or nhsp.intel@dos.nh.gov."

Never mind, found it.

The person who left that tip appears to have written a follow-up comment in which she says she lived in the trailer park and heard the murders but was afraid to come forward. I'm on the fence too.

And we know for sure this tip has been reported? It does seem like there are a few things that could help LE rule it as credible or not. For one thing, it says the barrels came from NY and they were originally filled with stuff to roof sealant or something. I read somewhere else that LE had not ever released information that specific about the barrels. Assuming that's true it seems like that would be the kind of holdback information that might make them inclined to take a second look if those details match what they know.

If that commenter is telling the truth, I'm just about to freak out right now.

This rang a bell for me and I couldn't figure out why. When I figured it out I immediately picked up the phone and called the appropriate agency. I talked to a detective and they are looking into it. I'm going to wait to say more until they call me back, just in case, because if I'm right, I don't want to even accidentally mess up by saying anything they would rather me have kept quiet about. I want to tell you as badly as you want to know, but I don't want it on this board where anyone could be reading it. So be patient with me and keep your fingers crossed!
