The Bear Brook Store owner (Bob Evans' boss at Waumbec Mill) is still very much alive and living in another city in New Hampshire. He has been named and interviewed by the press in the past. A news article on Sunday stated that Evans was put on a suspect list back in 2014; IMO the property owner must have ID'd him then as someone who helped dump barrels from Waumbec on the property and was therefore familiar with the contents of them. (2014 was before the DNA testing was done.)

Bob Evans was working at the Waumbec from 1977-1980, a good three years. Now that he has been named to the public, hopefully more of his co-workers will come forward with whatever they remember about him.

Something worth looking into. Born in 1952 graduates high school in 1970 and is drafted. Some very heinous individuals crafted their "skills" while serving. With his receding hairline he easily could pass for being in his mid 30's when he met Denise.

And was this Curtis Mayo Kimball ever inducted into any branch of the U.S. military?

“This is a guy who was careful and methodical,” Strelzin said. “This is not a guy who acted spur of the moment. This is a guy who knew what he was doing.”

Evans first appeared in New Hampshire in 1977. He worked at the Waumbec Mill in Manchester as a head electrician. He lived at 925 Hayward St., and he did side jobs for a fellow Waumbec worker, an Allenstown man who was building a camp store on his property.

In 1980, he got into some minor scrapes with the law — passing a bad check and stealing electricity. At times, he told police he was married to Elizabeth Evans, and an Elizabeth Evans once signed for mail at his address. But police have not been able to explain who Elizabeth Evans is.

During that time, Evans likely beat to death a young woman and three girls, and dumped their bodies in metal barrels, which were found years later on his coworker’s property in Allenstown. Two of the victims were dismembered. DNA shows that one of the three girls, a preschooler, was fathered by Evans. - See more at: http://www.unionleader.com/article/20170127/NEWS03/170129351#sthash.p7RPflss.dpuf

A Elizabeth Evans once signed for mail at his address!

Dual existence?

Strelzin said it’s possible that Evans could have been living a dual existence: one life with Denise, another with the Allenstown victims. But no one in New Hampshire has surfaced who has seen him with a woman and three children.

Eventually, Denise Beaudin moved in with Evans, but they vanished shortly after Thanksgiving in 1981, along with Denise’s 6-month-old daughter, named Dawn.

Jeffery Strelzin is a homicide prosecutor who is working the investigation. He thinks Evans could have been two-timing Denise with the victims.

TY this was my question earlier wether the address was verified as Hayward where the certified letter was signed for.

Dual or even multi-lives with different women ..

The Middle Child that is "Bob Evans" Child. Could this be the girl. Strangely enough her name is Elizabeth. She was 7 months old when mom and daughter went missing in 1977. Moms Remains were found in 1981, but the baby was never found. http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/3011dfca.html

another note. Lisa can be short for Elizabeth/Elisabeth. Also The mother of this child is named Diane. A name that Evans said was the name of his wife in California. Here is another link for baby Elizabeth. https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/6089/0/

Around 1980 or she would have been about 3 years old or so. How do we have the authorities check her DNA against the DNA of this 6month old baby whose mother Diane was found dead.

Where was Evans incarcerated? 18 months in prison, he had to have gotten to know somebody in there.

At one time or another they were being linked to two different sk's

I'm finally going to quit lurking to jump in here.

I'm a local, and my younger brother reminded me of this case over the summer after he took an ill-advised expedition to the barrel sites through Bear Brook State Park, up to the remains of the store. (Yes, I yelled at him for trespassing in the backwoods of Allenstown behind a trailer park, because there are many ways in which that could have gone horribly wrong.)

Interestingly, he did find a barrel back there, and sent me a picture of it. I'm assuming it's a more recent barrel--dumped after the last search of the property in 2000--but I've been thinking about it a lot since the new developments emerged...

Anyway, a few pages back on the thread, IllinoisMissing mentioned the Oakhill blog comments, and a how someone commented about a guy who worked at the store. YES. There are a few anonymous comments on there that are eerie, considering the information we now know. As soon as the press conference was done, I went back to confirm that they're still there, and I'd encourage anyone curious to check them out. The first few were posted by someone who was a resident of the trailer park briefly during the 80s--and it appears that the same person posted again about a year later, but I'm just guessing based on the anonymous commenter's grammar/syntax. There are two initial comments dated 1/13/15, and a followup on 1/15/15, by the same author. There is also the comment from 2/11/16, which appears to be the same author. Yes, some of the details are incorrect, but there are a lot of details that align with the latest information released by LE last week--in those comments from 2015. You guys might want to check them out. Even if they don't seem valid, they might help with the brainstorming.

Found more on the mother Diane. She was supposedly married. unable to find the husband. They do not mention the man by name in the two articles I found on this diane and her baby Elizabeth.

ETA: husbands name was ken and he seems to have married a second time in 84.

Did he serve time from his 86 and 88 arrests?
Documented time served was from March 1989 to October 1990
This was when he was arrested for abandoning Dawn/Lisa believe he was sentenced to 3 years but only served 18 months

November 2001 or 2002 for the murder of eusoon.

Yesterday there was a comment posted here that we chose to remove because it mentioned several living persons. We have reposted the comment but removed both names:

The man who loaded trucks name was (NAME REMOVED) he was a man that worked carnivals. He was very nice looking but with acne he was bitten by a dog on his left cheek and had a nasty scar. He had shoulder length hair parted on the left. he was about 24/26 5foot ten/eleven hazel or dark blue eye's. He was a police officer? He had a badge. He was from Maryland. The barrels were from NY and carried sealant. Could be used for driveways or mobile home roofs. The family traveled with the carnival and from another country. They lived up above the store and they came to Allenstown NH because of the trucker and his helpers to work . The family originally stayed in a white camper that they lived in before the window blew out in a storm. There were three children and one woman. One of the middle children belonged to the trucker . The woman spoke broken English. One of the most mangled of the babies was a boy? ( I think)The Man who drove truck parked it beside the camper after the murders and The barrels showed up possibly when the mobile home was removed. The moving of the mobile home the burning of the store and the trucker are connected. (DIFFERENT NAME REMOVED). Start there.
The murder of the two eldest happened across the road from the store. The other two behind store.

This comment from January 13, 2015 at 2:30 PM is definitely eerie. I haven't read the others yet but I just wanted to point out that when I found out that there was an apartment above the park store, I wondered if it was connected in some way to the case. I even wondered if Evan's lived there at one point. The woman and three children and the middle child being the man's child is too crazy to be a coincidence. We just recently found out about Evans fathering the middle child. Them staying in a camper is consistent with how Evans lived with Lisa. Evans worked on the store so he would have had direct access to the apartment above the store. The woman having broken English suggest an old theory for the victims that they were immigrants (inconsistent with isotopes). I have theorized before that they were homeless. The burning of the store makes sense if it was a crime scene! And the part where it is directly related to the middle child's father...straight chills. I wonder if the "trucker" was called that because Evans was seen unloading materials. The age doesn't match up, neither does the scar. Could Evans have worked with carnivals? That would be an easy job for him to get as a traveler.

Here is a few readings I get from this case: The boyfriend or very recent ex-boyfriend of the woman did this to the family. He worked in a factory or near a river (barges). He may have drove a light colored truck with a blue tarp in the back. He worked away from the area. The family had recently moved before the murder. The child not directly related is cousin or a very close family friend. The oldest woman's mother had recently died. The family lived above a garage or on a rented property. I feel the case definitely happened early 80s not late 70s.
The Waumbac mill is on the Merrimack river and Manchester is 25 minutes from Allenstown.

Another interesting thing is that the Anonymous poster used Denise as her name at the end of one of their posts.

One of the more interesting comments mentions the woman, older child and younger child share maternal DNA, but they may not be mother and daughters. Could be sisters, cousins, aunt or nieces etc.

March 11, 2015 at 9:45 PM: This is not a joke. Many folks are trying to piece together a crime dating back thirty some odd years. I understand the woman may have been a criminal and that could be why no-one has ever wanted to know where she was or even gave two *advertiser censored* about her however, the crime needs to be solved and the story needs to be known. I understand that someone who molested children may have been involved and even may have paid for the service mom provided in order to blackmail the person. Yet, even a story this involved needs the truth to surface I know it was said that she was no angel and he was not evil and this could be because she allowed her own babies to be used in the most horrific of ways. Is this the story? Is this why you can't come forth? So many ways this could come about like she killed the two youngest and He sought revenge? That would explain the horrific way the two older ones were taken? Am I close? Have I hit it yet? Do not be cowardly and keep the truth in. The brutality of this crime needs to surface. The cover-up may seem justified but enough is enough.

Could the mother victim have been a fugitive?
I wonder if Evans did abuse those poor kids. I hope this isn't true, because it's just awful...

The "she was no angel and he was not evil" comment is strange to me. It's kind of sounds like someone that had compassion for Evans, and hatred for the victim. Like it is someone who had dated Evans and hated the mistress...Highly, highly, highly doubt it, but that would explain better why someone would know some inside information that oddly mirrors Evans.

April 20, 2015 at 10:34 AM: You are correct. The answer does lie right under your nose. Danish man with connections. A child molester with many more secrets taken to the grave.

Bob Evans had said he had a Norwegian/Danish background and in 2015 there was no real way to know the killer was deceased.

The April 20, 2015 comment just blew me out of the water... That is someone whom is very intimate with the case ... Could it be possible this is someone within LE thou .? Have to go back and read, LE had him on their radar for sometime all thou not info/details to prove it was him.

JMO it was either someone in LE that knew they were centering on Evans or it was someone that befriended and kept in touch with Evans

The comment is way creepy ...

When did the store burn down? I can't remember the date.

Just thought about something, in my professional life I have worked with mills domestic and intentionally. Many of the mills would close down for a months time twice a year generally Dec and either July/Aug. The downtime was not for repairs or turnarounds where workers would be needed. It was for the holidays to be spent with family or when it was the slowest production time of the year for the mill. If During the shutdown month workers would find other employment to fill the gap ..... This would be consistent with Evans traveling to other areas of the country for work during the shutdown time ... I.e. Be consistent with the Middle child isotope tests ... Had another woman while working out of town, later bringing the child back with him
