I have unapproved a bunch of posts until they can be reviewed. It is very possible some of them will remain in that state.

Please alert on posts you perceive to be problematic as opposed to quoting them.

Let's all remember that we are all after the same end goal here!

This is disheartening, as I thought they had all the evidence/info they needed and were just waiting for the tox to dot and cross. :(

Dozen officers still on the case. FBI still on. Working with Vermont authorities.

Asking public for help on days July 25, 26 or days thereafter. Still being treated as a suspicious death. No arrests have been made.

I'm shocked. Nothing. Suspicious death but they are still asking for info/tips.
I have to wonder now if maybe they don't have a clue as to who killed Celina. :(

wow, so sad.

Says the community needs to have "heightened vigilance."

ME still has not ruled on cause or manner of death.

Well I don't know what to make of that....hmmm. caught the tail end. UNless they are just looking for more info to have an entirely iron clad case. Maybe they are trying to hone in on some of the 'rumors' that were out there earlier?Who saw what, any items missing....?
Where is Ms F, what is her take??

I know I am sounding like a broken record and I may be way off the mark but I still feel Celina's death was by someone outside the family circle. There have been several females killed in the northern tier over the past few years, never solved. This is not the first time a serial killer has operated up north. You folks who live up there know of this as LE does also. I just cannot shake my gut feeling this case is more far reaching than anyone knows. Too many CSI shows I am watching, perhaps, time will tell. Skier

"The death certificate indicates the cause and manner of death are pending toxicology reports and further investigation," Young said at a brief news conference this evening.

Despite these findings, Young said, the Attorney General's office continues to investigate the death as suspicious based on "a visual observation of Miss Cass' body both in and out of water."

I could not agree with you more!

Purely speculation on my part (and mod please delete if inappropriate), but almost everyone who posts on the various WS threads I read and follow has at least one brilliant thought to contribute at one time or another, so I want to toss out a question here to see what anyone believes may be the answer to this question:

How much would the reward need to be in the CC case to "loosen lips" in an effort to gain viable information?

This is an academic question I've asked myself repeatedly in reference to the CC case; I also asked myself the same question in reference to the disappearances of Maura Murray (another NH case for those who may not be familiar), Ray Gricar, the Jamison Family, Jacque Rawson Waller, Lauren Spierer, and Robyn Gardner. To the best of my knowledge, none of them has ever been heard from after the date of their respective disappearances and they have never been found, safe or otherwise.

Thank you for your consideration.

Ditto! I agree. I believe that Celina was lured out of the house or someone came in (not as likely). I really feel there is something sinister operating in the north country. Until proven, I do not believe Celina was killed by anyone in her family. The AG knows exactly what Celina died from, I do not buy their vague explanations. If you die there is a reason, just like if you are gone, you are not there. They are stalling for a reason. Justice for Celia!! Skier

I missed the very beginning. Did anyone ask her about the blanket...and could confirm? tia

Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said no arrests have been made, and she would not comment on how close they are to making an arrest.

"Our goal is anybody involved in Celina's disappearance and ultimately death be brought to justice," she said. The Attorney General's Office said 580 leads and tips have been received and investigators are still waiting on various forensic tests. Young said they have spoken to a number of witnesses. She said investigations can take weeks and sometimes months. "If we ever get to a trial in this case, we want to make sure we have enough evidence," she said. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police at 603-846-3333. "Until an arrest is made, we are asked that [the public is] heightened in their vigilance," she said.
