"Ozbilgen is charged with one count of possession of child *advertiser censored*, a quantity of files under 1,000, according to a court listing.

Edward Parze, Stephanie’s father, said he learned of the arrest on a TV news program. He was not very familiar with Ozbilgen and did not comment specifically on the arrest.

Ozbilgen was supposed to appear in Freehold Township municipal court Wednesday on a simple assault charge. That was postponed, and he now has a Dec. 17 court date on that charge."

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A ring of drug pushers used shopping center parking lots on the South and North Shore alike to peddle prescription pills from their cars, police allege.

Today, police wrapped up a months-long undercover operation that targeted the crew, arresting five on drug-dealing charges and another three on possession charges.

A woman who identified herself as John Ozbilgen's mother said the same of her son: "He was shopping for crickets for lizards" in PetSmart.

What is the simple assault charge for? Anyone know how to search NY court records?

No sleuthing JO as a POI in Stephanie's case at this time.

While "sources" have said he is a POI, the Prosecutor's office has specifically stated he is NOT a POI in her disappearance:

Monmouth Count Prosecutor's Office spokesman Charlie Webster confirmed to New Jersey 101.5 that the arrest of an individual at a house on Kings Mountain Road in Freehold Township on Friday afternoon "is not related to the disappearance of Stephanie Parze."

NO sillybilly, that is wrong. The reporter did not word that correctly. LE has said he IS a POI in her disappearance. The arrest for CHILD *advertiser censored* is not related to her disappearance. Google or read upstream in the linked news stories.

I have read Thank You. There is not one named source that says he is a POI, only unnamed/unidentified sources:

Multiple reports indicate
sources confirm
a law enforcement source told Eyewitness News

By contrast we have a named spokesperson, Charles Webster, from the prosecutor's office, stating that neither the search nor the arrest are related to Stephanie's case:

Police search house of friend; cops say not linked to disappearance

according to Charles Webster, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesman. Webster said the search at Ozbilgen's home was "completely unrelated to the disappearance of Parze."

Look, we all know how this may go, but when an official, named source is saying neither the search nor the arrest are related, that individual is not considered by WS to be a POI unless/until officially named as such.

"Charles Webster, a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, told Patch that Ozbilgen's arrest on child *advertiser censored* charges was "completely unrelated" to Parze's disappearance. But NBC4 and ABC7 reported that Ozbilgen nonetheless is a "person of interest" in the Parze case."

Unsure if related but remains found about 1 1/2 hrs. across stateline in PA. The timeline is iffy, though. There's no specific date given.

PA - Valley Township, Wht or Hisp. Fem., 16-40, Ram/Capricorn Tat., Oct. 2019

Her NamUs profile was posted on that thread today at 8:06 and states:

Condition of Remains Not recognizable - Partial skeletal parts only

So, I'd assume it's not her, but I don't want to think about it long enough to determine if she could have been gone long enough for that to be an accurate statement :(

imo

How about this? (BBM)
On Sunday, county prosecutor spokesman Chris Swendenman clarified that the search of the home of John D. Ozbilgen was related to Parze's disappearance. His arrest on child *advertiser censored* charges, however, is not related.

So they went in looking for evidence relating to Stephanie’s disappearance and came out with child *advertiser censored*. Lovely.

The search was related to the disappearance. The ARREST was not. Cops went into the home to conduct a search related to Stephanie’s disappearance and while there, found an image of child *advertiser censored*. The rest was for child *advertiser censored* possession, but the search was originally due to Stephanie’s disappearance. Complaint at this link: John D. Ozbilgen complaint | Probable Cause | Plea

In my previous post, there are direct quotes attributed to Charles Webster of the prosecutor's office stating that the search and arrest are not related to Stephanie's disappearance. The probable cause document you linked says absolutely nothing about the search being related to Stephanie's disappearance. It states under "Description of relevant facts and circumstances which support probable cause ... " the probable cause is listed as:

On 11/8/2019, during a forensic review of the results of the cellphone extraction of the Apple iPhone X belonging to John D. Ozbilgen an image of child *advertiser censored* was found.

If the search was related to her disappearance, where is the probable cause document specifically for that search?

l haven’t seen it mentioned that LE suspects she is a victim of foul play. They have also stated on 11/4 that they suspect there is no general threat to the public.

What does this mean? Could Stephanie have ran off somewhere possibly been suicidal?

Something still doesn’t sit well with me about the POI or non POI whichever it is . I think it will come out that he had a hand in this. But how could LE state that there is no threat to the general public prior to him being arrested on an unrelated change.

“Police Chief Ernest Schriefer] wants to assure the residents that thus far in the investigation, we do not believe there is a threat to the general public,” police said in the post.”

N.J. woman now missing for 5 days. Cops don’t believe there’s a threat to the public.

The Office of the Monmouth County Prosecutor clarified information given to the Press Friday stating that the search and arrest were "completely unrelated to the disappearance of Parze." The 25-year-old woman has been missing since Oct. 30.

On Sunday, county prosecutor spokesman Chris Swendenman clarified that the search of the home of John D. Ozbilgen was related to Parze's disappearance. His arrest on child *advertiser censored* charges, however, is not related.
