What a horrifying profile photo.
So I found the friend's page and he commented at 1:19am on the 24th.
The arrest paperwork (not sure the exact name of it) states that FG said he went to bed at midnight and was woken by MM at 1:40am.
I am still confused on the timeline. Did they carry out all the rape/murder before or after midnight?

so he posted at 12:13 If you are on meth unless he smoked a lot of weed or drank alot he would have been wide awake then posted at 1:19 I don't think he was very "asleep"

Depends. I have a brother that's been on and off meth his entire adult life and I remember one time he'd been gone for days on one of his benders. Our parents were moving at the time and I was super ticked off that he had conveniently been gone and all the heavy lifting was left to me and my other brother (i'm a girl btw.....I was when I was about 19 at the time).
About halfway through getting the truck loaded he finally shows up. He proceeds to literally lay down in the middle of the floor of one of the bedrooms and pretty much just zonked out. We moved furniture around him. I think you literally would have had to hit him over the head with something to have made him wake up. And iron, perhaps?
In other words, they stay up for days when they are on a meth binge, but when they come down, they come down HARD!

I think you're right. Because guitarzonfire mentioned a 2:19am post. And I see a 1:19am post. I am central time zone. So that would be 12:19am in NM.
I still can't find a post at 12:13am (which I guess would be 11:13pm for me and 10:13pm for NM.)

Did this young woman, Michelle Martens, have custody of her daughter? Was her daughter living in two different places? She also has a son, but it's not clear if his father is the same as Victoria's. I just keep thinking something is weird.
This Laura Bobbs person is referred to as a minister, a neighbor, a family spokesperson, and Victoria's godmother. (?) It almost sounds as if some people were trying to get Michelle on some kind of right track. The emphasis on Victoria's gynamstics and swimming...Something just isn't right. She appears to be at someone else's house in at least one picture.

I recall reading that her two children were fathered by different dads, and that her son was at his dad's place when the crime occurred. What the custody arrangements were, I don't know, but the son was not at home at the time.

The following is pure conjecture and my opinion only, so take it for what it's worth. Approx. $.02
Looking way back through the mom's social media I'm pretty sure that Martens is her maiden name. Being as that is also Victoria's last name, I'm going out on a limb and guess that her father is not involved? Just a hunch. I also saw reference way back in her social media to having a husband at one point, so I'm also going to guess that the other child may be that man's child, which would make sense because I read someone online somewhere state that the boy was with his father when all of this took place.
There was also a period of time that Michelle seemed to be very, very religious. This raises my radar just a bit and makes me wonder if she was a drug user before. I say this because as I mentioned up thread, I have a lifelong on and off again meth addict brother (who has also been in and out of prison) and each and every time he "gets clean" he finds religion and gets REALLY into it. I haven't figured out if it's because he really means it or if it's because he knows that was always the ticket to keep my parents (especially my mother) helping him....as in paying for bail, rehabs, lawyers, talking people he stole from out of pressing charges (by reimbursing them for their stolen items), giving him a place to live when he got out of jail, etc. In other words, they could have just washed their hands of him (and should have) but he would lure them in with his newfound "Godliness". Each.And.Every.Time. And he was always real super over the top with it when he was in one of those states. Makes me wonder if her religion wasn't for the same reasons? It keeps people helping you.
Of course, I may also be barking totally up the wrong tree. Just some thoughts I've been having. MOO.

Or because an addictive personality does get REALLY into things, whether it's drugs, religion, or whatever else.
It's almost like swapping an addiction for drugs with an addiction for religion. The "drug of choice" becomes everything.

One other thing I've been meaning to bring up. Again...just randoms stuff found in comments. Nothing that can be considered factual, but interesting all the same.
Someone posted in some comments that a relative's girlfriend lives in the same apartment complex and had a child the same age as Victoria. The girls would play together sometimes. On the day before the murder (which police discovered in the early morning hours, so this would have been Victoria's last day at school) Michelle supposedly did not pick her up from school, so this neighbor mom brought her home to the apartment complex. Victoria supposedly went to their apartment and the girls played. She even stayed to eat dinner. Then the mom finally told her it was time to go home to her own apartment and she left.
It breaks my heart knowing what that poor child was walking into and it also makes me wonder if she was avoiding going home because she knew it was going to be bad. *IF* the story is true (big, big if) it makes me wonder how long those three monsters had been on their meth binge. Just laying in wait for that poor child like a damn trap.

Why didn't I think of that? Thank you. I've known some addicted people who have gone through the same thing--that's not to say they were fooling people completely, but yes, it's often part of the process. I just think that this young woman must have had some problems with meth before; they did not just suddenly spring up when her internet connection boyfriend and his cousin moved in. And Laura Cobb, the woman in her apartment complex, probably tried to help.
I am also trying to figure out how Michelle and her family got here. She was born in New York...went to high school in Texas...now here? And her mother is here? It's confusing.
