I said a weapon could be made automatic and I was derided.

My husband could do it in a couple of hours. You just said it. A weapon can be made automatic. That is my point to all of the “expert”naysayers

A weapon can be made automatic, with an appropriate fire control group that is illegal to manufacture or possess unless it was manufactured before 1986, or you're LE/MIL or have a Class 3 FFL. Talking about "urban legends", one of them is that you just have to file down a part here or there or that a semi-automatic firearm can be magically turned into an automatic firearm easily without significant modification and additional parts. If you could convert a semi-auto to automatic, you'd also have the tools to fabricate your own automatic receiver yourself, no conversion needed.

Also one thing came to mind, where did the shooter try out his arsenal. Did he ever shoot with the bump stock before! Maybe the investigative reporters should be visiting the shooting ranges around his home and asking some questions there

Exaclty. It sounds like there needs to be practice.

He seems to go all over the place, though.

It seems like he could have gone anywhere in the US or even abroad.

My nephew is a gunsmith and the rest of my family engineers. They can make anything. But they have no interest in doing it. Only interest in the concept.

Michigan man discovers chilling connection to Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock
Paddock was classmate of Howard Badeker

FRASER, Mich. - A Michigan man made a chilling discovery Thursday when he realized Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock was a former school classmate.

Howard Badeker*now lives in Fraser, but he went to school in Sun Valley, California.

Badeker said he used to live in Las Vegas. After the mass shooting Sunday night, he was busy checking on his son and sister who live in Las Vegas. They are OK.

He said the name of the shooter sounded familiar to him, but he didn't realize the connection until a news report mentioned the high school Paddock attended...

Exactly, The conspiracy theories that I m seeing on my FB have all kinds of things re the shooting and the sounds of the shooting.

It is too bad that in this horror, people have to make up stuff for whatever crazy reason.

I suppose it will get as horrendous as the Sandy Hook conspiracies.Grieving people being attacked by conspiracy theorists . I don’t know how victim’s relatives can stand it.

It is getting a little crazy now with all the stories out in internet land isnt it.

Anybody in the world that ever cross paths with this person is coming out of the woodwork. His girlfriend's sister's Ex somehow knows he accepted free prostitutes. Ok.

Pretty soon his preschool classmate will come forward to say he went to preschool with him and remembers him acting strange during playtime breaks LOL

The door is lying sideways , moved by LE to block access tot he room. It is leaning against the frame and the other door, so we cannot see the section that is hidden by the intact door.

I think the strange part is suggesting that the casinos would be engaging in prostitution/pimping, and allowing someone who isn't towards the upper levels of whaling by most accounts to partake of their illegal trafficking in persons.

Agree completely. If you've ever spent much time around L.V. or known 'high roller' type guys, this is so common, they
think there's nothing strange or wrong with it at all.
remember, these type guys are not the most 'loveable' or maybe not even attractive at all with women. Their main attribute is they give off the vibe of 'having money'. some are flashy with it, most are not.

I think it's highly likely the casino was offering him free 'escorts'. That somehow makes it all legal. IMO

We have been to Vegas 5-6 times over the years. I remember years ago guys on the strip flipping cards at you advertising "girls". Did not see that on subsequent trips. Have seen several times trucks flying up and down the strip advertising "girls". I kept thinking do they have them in the back of that truck due to their size. My point being "girls" seem to be part of Vegas and is it not legal in Vegas? or is that just the "bunny ranches" one can visit? Our Son was married at Mandalay Bay a year and a half ago. Staff were wonderful there and we walked the whole perimeter for wedding pics. Makes me sad such horror took place. CNN is doing a tribute tonight to all victims (9 p.m. EST) As it should be.
