Bear10 I have a question I am hoping you can answer for me. Years ago when we used to go to Vegas yearly the casinos wouldn't allow us to use or enquire about anyone's players card, even if it was our spouces. That rule still applies to where we gamble now. Even our casino host will not talk about my spousess card to me.
Has Vegas went lax on this rule? Does it matter what what level a person is at? I am trying to figure out how he could of used MD'S card for anything.

Mlife, which is the MGM program, does not let you inquire about other people’s play. You can only have one name per account. My husband and I cannot link our accounts. When we go to Vegas, usually only once or twice a year these days since we are on the east coast, we gamble a lot. I still don’t think I could go to Vegas without him and use his players card for comps unless we made explicit plans in advance, and even then I am not sure how they would handle it. I mean I get it. If my husband was gambling a ton of money when I wasn’t around, and didn’t tell me about it, he’d be pretty pissed if the casino divulged that info to me.

I have never seen a Security Guard checking room keys at elevators. I've seen people come & go entering & exiting elevators at their leisure.

We can agree to disagree. That's fine.

I've spent way too many hours looking at casino surveillance tapes for one soul. Interesting that one MGM property admitted to using surveillance cameras in hotel hallways.....

Idk where you stay, but In the borgata, which recently became part Mlife, you can bet you need to show your room card before you can access the guest elevators.

The res is a common term where I live and not offended. The people who live on the reservations, call the the res.

Anyway, you said tribal so why would I not think it was a reservation casino?

There are over 550 tribal casinos in the US and about half of them are not on reservations. There are no reservations in my state. The revenues from the tribal casinos combined far exceeds the combined totals of Las Vegas and AC.

Exactly. That is why I cannot figure out how he could of used MD's card. Maybe he just had it with him but never used it.

No.....you cannot use a spouses players card without prior consent.

Also, privacy is a big deal so we had staff call the players (guests), " Mr. B " and never said his/her full name while on the floor. Staff knew to be mindful of not talking previous big wins or losses & or the last time the player was there unless he/she was alone. Some players are accompanied by their spouse one day & with someone else the next.

So the casinos create a sense of privacy when in reality, there is none.

I didn't **stay** in a casino as a guest

Sorry - I should have said which casinos you frequent or work in. I feel like you’re still mad about the aria comment I made like 3 threads ago. Put the dukes down girl, I’m not attacking you.

Lol! No worries.....I don't even know about the aria thingy.....must've missed it.?
I rarely comment lately but I'll stand firm on my knowledge of casino operations.

We cannot even prior concent. Very interesting that some how MD'S card has come up in the investigation.

Eh no you got pretty mad ha. Anyway I am not doubting your knowledge of casino operations by any means, and please don’t doubt my knowledge of being a resort guest.

I also have to wonder if this was another confusing tidbit, since in the beginning it was her employee access card, then there was mention of credit card, and also players card. I think using her players card for valet would possibly be a feasible way to use her players card. Or maybe he used her credit card to pay for the suite. I can’t remember the latest update on this to be honest.

I've seen "comped" show tickets to a premiere player be allowed with prior arrangements via his/her Casino Host to be picked up by a guest with name denoted & matching ID having to be shown. Casino Host makes the notation in the necessary database but they have to know these comped players well before they'd make these exceptions.
I've also seen this sort of thing done on promotional giveaways too.
These are exceptions to the rule.....usually ID needed for "comped" hotel room check in & everything else.
For "comped" items, the Casino wants to make sure it's money is being wisely spent on its preferred guest--the gambler. Keep him/her happy & keep him/her "in action".

I don't know much about "non-comped" policies.

Yes that might explain it. A target of a crowd of 22,000 in an outdoor enclosed area, taken by surprise by one loan shooter nighttime shooter. Perched way above with a huge supply of machine gun-like weapons, prepared by determining distances and velocity, firing for 10 minutes. I think it was miraculous the deaths and serious casualties weren't far greater in number.
Have we ever even heard WHY exits were blocked off that were not every other night?

Las Vegas guard Jesus Campos vanished after visiting urgent-care clinic, union leader says

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/10/1...ing-urgent-care-clinic-union-leader-says.html
From the article: "A spokesperson at the UMC Quick Care, which has eight locations throughout the Las Vegas area, told Fox News on Monday that they had "heard nothing" about Campos visiting them."

Typically, doctor's offices cannot tell random people if you have been a patient because of HIPAA laws. My mother could not even tell me if a friend visited the quick care clinic she worked at and asked her to tell me hello.
