-everybodhi,

i’m trying to figure out where BH was when he first heard it? Before he makes it down to the ground floor. TIA

From the statement's he's given it's hard to know exactly where he was at what time, but there's some information this article that might help you.

'Hardcore': Las Vegas shooter 'in hotel room next door', says Australian man Brian Hodge

New South Wales man and concert producer Brian Hodge, 36, said he ran for his life as hundreds of bullets sprayed...
[snip]
"There were so many shots fired, I couldn't tell you how many. A woman came right up to my face and she said 'you've got to turn back there is a shooter' and we all just started running."

Mr Hodge said he and his team of about 20 staff fled to a nearby lift and piled in with other terrified hotel patrons.

"I'm room 32134 so I'm just so glad I didn't make it back to my room," he said.

-Thank you, everybodhi. im trying to do a diagram of who was where...

He then described the scene as a SWAT team converged on the hotel, in full gear, yelling for everyone to stay down and put their hands up.

I have not heard that Stephan Paddock was killed by the police, the first I heard of his death, it was said to be suicide. I googled it, in order to read any past articles that the police killed SP but nothing came up to validate that was ever reported.
Maybe you have a link?
You bringing it up is the first I've heard it suggested.

As far as Brian Hodge, he said many things but I cannot find a credible site in this country to link, all the sites that tell about him going into the building, after the shooting started, up the elevator to the 32 floor, with the story of the woman that "was right in his face", telling him there was a gunman, are only on sites I've never even heard of before.
Some sites say, he said, after going to the 32 floor, he went back down into the kitchen and rescued a lot of people by leading them outside where he then hid in the bushes. Some sites say he was in the bushes first and then ran to the kitchen, and some say he was in the kitchen and ran to the bushes.
It was my understanding the woman went down with Brian and his party, his work team, on the elevator.
I watched his interview with Aussie TV, twice, because it was requested, but I don't give BH much importance in this case. That's just my opinion.

Your guess is as good as mine where he may have been during this tragedy.

-everybodhi, thank you. I’m on my mobile so my responses back to you are choppy, my apologies.

BH was outside the hotel when the shooting began.
I don't think I would depend on him to establish a timeline, but that's my opinion.

It was full machine guns for 20 seconds': Terrified Australian man recounts horror of learning Las Vegas shooter was staying in the hotel room next to his

Mr Hodge witnessed a large SWAT team entering the hotel as he hid outside
'It was hardcore, like it was full machine-guns for 20 seconds and then it stopped for five seconds then it just went again,' he said, describing how he hid in bushes outside of the hotel for more than three hours.

I think sometimes we forget we are talking about actual humans with certain rights and expectations of privacy. Thank goodness for HIPAA.

I worked with an advocacy group to help get the patient privacy portion of that law passed (HIPAA was originally a law to protect portability of insurance from job to job and in between). Believe it or not, it was very difficult to gather votes and nearly didn't get enacted. It was finally accomplished as part of a presidential executive order.

Because Congress did not enact privacy legislation, HHS developed a proposed rule and released it for public comment on November 3, 1999. The Department received over 52,000 public comments. The final regulation, the Privacy Rule, was published December 28, 2000.2

We came very close to not having that protection, so I never take it for granted. Sure, there are some things we'd like to know when looking at criminal cases, but its better that we can't.

Thanks, by the time I was following this story, we knew it was suicide, when I googled, "police killed SP", only articles that had the more more recent suicide news came up.
I don't know what time on Oct 2 the police announced it as suicide but I know we knew it that day.

Yes, I recall that, strange how later the rhetoric then changed. Stinks to high heaven, IMO. When it comes to how a suspect dies, what's the reason for changing it midstream? That's at least one detail that should be quite clear. Should be no confusion on how he died, whatsoever. Suicide versus gunned down? Seriously? Big red flag, JMO

I imagine the swat team came in shooting, as they do, but the Medical Examiner declared it suicide, based on the evidence.

Earliest reports I remember were that he committed suicide.

Las Vegas massacre suspect Stephen Paddock committed suicide, police say
Published 6:11 AM ET Mon, 2 Oct 2017 Updated 7:30 PM ET Mon, 2 Oct 2017

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said that the shooter was found dead in a room on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay in an apparent suicide. Lombardo said Paddock opened fire from the room, and there were no other shooters. Police said he had no known connection to terrorism.

Looking at the article in the wayback machine it shows the suicide update at around 2pm.

Looking at the article in the wayback machine it shows the suicide update at around 2pm.

There was some unofficial release of information by various members of LE in the beginning. Remember the SWAT team going on 60 Minutes so quickly, giving out inaccurate information? Just a guess, but the reports of his death by police may have come from the same source. Recall, it was before the ME had a chance to finish their exam.

-Thank you, he is in about as many places as he can be...at different times. Maybe he was trying to weave himself through the whacked timelines to see if it would stick anywhere. Maybe he took a gamble with nothing to lose because the timeline is still unstamped and unclear-soup of the day.

The medical examiner? So you're saying the swat team didn't know that he was already dead when the swat team shot him? Ok, I obviously need to check some things out, perhaps my memory alludes me. TIA

-In the very beginning there was unusual wording with emphasis on “he was dead before LE entered the room”. How did they know?

It could be that none of the subsequent wounds bled.

Yep, makes some of us wonder WTH -

SWAT officers ultimately stormed the room and some fired shots, though Paddock is believed to have killed himself, Lombardo said.

-I will see if I can find it. There was another one that said “when LE or SWAT entered the room SP had already shot and killed himself”

-i’m paraphrasing but it was strange rhetoric for sure.
