touch the fridge and it adds something to your bill..
excess charges here there and everywhere.
It reads scam from start to finish.. I'm beginning to think a comped room in this fleapit is as useful as a seat on the Titanic..
Who decided to charge the 5$ for instant room coffee.. powder and boiled water?
Bad bad vibe.. am seeing all guests as victims now..

This is not exclusive to MB. In many hotels, the mini bar and snacks on the dresser have sensors. If you move something off the sensor, it assumes you took and consumed the product and charges you for it. IMO hotels that have sensors in their minibars, or even stocked minibars at all, usually aren’t “flea pits”.

Staying at a hotel isn’t mandatory. You choose to stay there. I think it’s a bit extreme to call hotel guests victims just bc you read some bad reviews on TripAdvisor. People like to complain. I’m sure you can find bad reviews about almost every hotel if you wanted to.

I don't think he walked up 32 flights of stairs with everything that was found in his room. Not debating if there are cameras or not but curious why Vegas would be exempt as per my previous post. Also curious why there has been no cctv footage at all released as of yet of SP. MOO

The more interesting angle to me is what the person in the room did the previous 24 hours ?

They acknowledge they have 200 citings of him on CCTV. Know why, IMO , we cant know who he was talking to , or in and out of his room or anything like that

We knew when Omar took a breath

We knew what Elliot did for days before

We knew what Lanza had been doing

We knew what Holmes had been doing before getting into his car around whatever time it was

We already know more about what the NY dude did

There are reasons..................and it points to secrecy.................secrecy is always needed for some reason ..........it is not a random entity

and hey -- if this single shooter silliness came out ten days after well .................... an hour is pretty incredulous

Fortune tellers and psychics can make claims like that !!

imo

-Agree. The bad vibe started IMO with their lack of regard for the victims. Their delayed response in just the form of a public acknowledgment feels wrong and seedy to me. Followed by the twisted timelines, and on and on with strategic methodology as per how it fits them is all so disturbing.

-it should be ringing very loudly that we have seen zero footage of SP there. If we can see immediate footage on a ‘living’ terrorist who is actively linked to terrorist groups why can’t we see footage on a man now dead who committed a historic massacre??? They are positive he acted alone, so what’s the risk of footage and pressers?

Okey dokey.
Now, if you had read the preceding posts you would have realised that the time article referenced in relation to the hotel organisation was cited as recommending cctv in corridors.
Thats why it was mentioned..
I have my impressions, my thoughts and my feelings and I am free to express them here if I qualify them, which I did.
Thanks .

I'm guessing lots of people who are commenting here haven't been to Vegas much. I go a good bit. It's not what most people think, that only have dirty, dingy, vegas movies type thoughts in their brains. Most of the hotels are resorts. They are beautiful and eztravagant. The strip is clean and fresh feeling. I walked home many nights carrying my heels and was not filthy. I would neeeever walk without Shoes in new orleans! As a matter of fact, most hotels actually clean their sidewalks every night. It feels more like Disney, to me, in the way things are cared for. I don't care about what someone's preferences are about big business and commercialism. I'm just trying to make a point of what type of place it is.

As far as the resort fee, it's been a real long time since they haven't had them! I stay at harrahs properties. I stayed at Caesars Palace last year. It was the same. $40 per night resort fee, $5ish in room coffee. Mt room was comped, which is unusual at Caesars palace. I usually stay at planet hollywood. But trust me, these are no "flea bag motels". My friend stayed in Delano (the twin to Mandalay) when I was in Caesars and she said it was the nicest room she has literally ever been in. I'm not sure why people think it's gross or odd or suspect. And yeah, any hotel across the street from a festival will be loud. But luckily,it ends at a certain time of night. The things people complain about amaze me. You can always find something to complain about, and you can always find the good. Reviewers lots of time are the complainers. I have an online shop. Trust me. I know.........

The reference to the 200 sightings of him on CCTv referred to sightings in LV, not necessarily the hotel.
It was first mentioned in an LA times article approx Oct 16 (not sure re date).

I was referring to the mentality behind the hotel as evidenced in the review section of the TripAdvisor.
My search was in an effort to gain a perspective on hotel standards and on whether or not they had declined of late.
Those were my impressions.. not intended literally but I believe I had made that clear.

Normally in a case like this everybody from the sweetshop to the bus station would have been interviewed by now.
There does not appear to be any good reason to cease pressers indefinitely.

It is possible he did not act alone, its possible some outside interest motivated the attack.. everything is possible..
But yes one man, a YOUNG 64 yr old could have managed the act and most likely did.

If there were additional shooters or shooters after the fact there is no reason to hide it.

No, you did :) It was something I have seen others find suspicious. I just wanted to explain resort fees are common.

My post that you quoted had nothing to to with CCTVs. And that organization is a trade organization with zero say in rules or laws. You can see my previous post which explains what that org is.

I am under the impression that you’ve never been to Vegas. I have been, and have stayed at many of the properties, which is why I’m trying to explain to you that things you may think are abnormal, really aren’t.

They might be common, like powdered coffee is common.. but they are horrible, mean minded, scamming and unfair greedy etc.

No, I have never been to Vegas and I have no intention of ever going to Vegas and certainly no desire to go there. Rest assured!
A million flies on a piece of dung does not make it right nor is it a great reflection of the dung.
We can become inured to injustices.
It does not change them.
The emperor quite simply has no clothes and you find it extreme that I mentioned it.
Is that my problem?

Well harrahs new orleans also has a resort fee. As does biloxi. It's like airline baggage fees..... they are just pretty standard now. It covers internet, usage of the gym facilities, pool, etc. You used to pay extra for those things and now it's built in. UT guess what.... people like this shooter don't pay the resort fees, so it doesn't even matter. Resort fees are comped with higher level player cards. It's just a mini perk of being loyal to a property.

I get Vegas or Disney or marathons or (insert thing here) isn't for everyone. But it doesn't make it bad. The "perks" I get from Harrahs far exceed anything I put in to them. So, it might seem like a scam to some, but it allows me to travel or take my chikd to a hotel with a pool for free. So, to each his own.

Ironically, that organization mentioned in the time article is a hardcore advocate for resort fees.

Speculation alert!!

We have learned that casinos and lower floors are camera loaded release him in the casino for 8 hours !! Thenight before

the only reason not to IMO is who was he interacting with ?

The simple notion that an individual , who we have had no indication was in a psychotic state would come to the concluion that hypothetically one person would need 18 guns defies logic other than they were for sale , or were used in a sting operation that went bad.

IMO how they notion got totally over looked from the beginning again defies logic IMO

The supposedly leaked photos the magazine racks were all nice and lined up -- like a little display -- not a mass shooter!

Folks that are going to try to murder as many as possible just IMO does not create a cute little display by putting two chairs together so it looks like a baby carriage.

In addition, if one is going to kill themselves , why do they need another 18 guns in ones car? But if I had a customer that might like my merchandise and be interested in more , I would have more in my car !

SO then we got to go back to the main notion -- that he bought up 18 guns into his room - he has two hands -- exactly what could one person do with 18 guns and two hands?

What could someone with a total of whatever 32 guns do with two hands?

I would think I would have a greater chance of getting busted getting 18 machine guns into my room as opposed to a couple ??

IMO typically people who are intent on killing themselves I would think do not set up a bunch of cameras -- what possible "use" could they have if one plans on being dead shortly?

If one is gonna be like a suicide bomber -- why bother worrying about them busing down your door?

I am just trying to follow this -- so I am blazing bullets all over the place , and I am going to be firing a machine gun , from behind a heavy curtain , while monitoring a little screen , or running back and forth to check out a camera on a peephole?

On the other hand an individual attempting to get a arms sales on tape for later prosecution certainly seems more likely to me.

For a nation that has a huge black market for guns of that caliber , that apparently can demand a good price on the black market that too -- just seems to make more sense than someone with two hands .

It also goes a long way to explain an income stream from someone who has had no income stream -- that has been demonstrated to anyone.

People do tend (at least in the movies!) get pretty piss$$ when they learn they are being set up for a felony charge.

How would a dead person remove a hard drive after being dead?

However if I discovered that one has been recording me engaging in a felony I think it would be reason to kill the person and take the hard drive that has me attempting to buy machine guns on it!

That too just seems to make more sense than s showroom of machine guns, cameras all over to kill as many as possible then myself - it has no notion of anything other than an arms sale, a failed sting and murder .

If one stops and thinks about the abovementioned speculation just mo -- it makes a heap more logic .

Cariis, there is no evidence he was selling guns. If he had been he could more easily have sold them from his home, a parking lot or a secluded countryside place. I imagine he would have had a lot more to sell as well.
Its not difficult to obtain guns, no matter who you are- its easy to obtain them illegally. Like its easy to obtain bomb making materials easily and yes, legally.
the gun selling wont wear because its pointless in every way.
It was not a terror attack.
They are handled in a different way by different LE depts.
There is no comparison.
So far no evidence has emerged that he belonged to a terrorist organisation or had links of any description.

This is something that is routinely checked and very quickly too.
If the felony witness theory could play out, he would not have been alone in the room when it was breached.
The evidence was that he used the laptop after he had commenced shooting.
Campos stayed on that floor until LE arrived.
Nobody left the room.

I cannot think for the like of me what he could have used the laptop for whilst in the midst of his pirouette of death..
but he wasn't a very nice man.. we discussed him as a controller..

He used laptop, while alive, removed hard drive while shooting, continued shooting and chucked hard drive.. some where..
It looks more like he was giving 2 fingers to LE which makes me wonder, more than anything else whether his final act was his idea of revenge against LE, possibly for taking his father away.. but thats me speculating wildly.

I know your heart is in this fully and I read your early posts on this thread and you have done an enormous amount of reading and research and I totally respect you for it.

I was speaking with a terrorism expert on the day after the shooting and she asked me 'what if its not ISIS?'
I replied that it would be terrifying.

It is terrifying.
Mindless violence on any scale is the most terrifying thing to contemplate .
But contemplate it, we must.
As it is.
Unadorned.

This may well happen again
And again
Nothing could have been done to prevent it.
Nothing can be done to prevent it happening again either.

Now, where do we go?

They might be common, like powdered coffee is common.. but they are horrible, mean minded, scamming and unfair greedy etc.

-Kitty I believe I was the first to post the words ‘resort fees’ quoted from the link you posted. I don’t see that there was any debate intended. The items I listed as consistent were from the reviews. Resort fees happened to be one of them. If it was bad ranch dressing I would have listed that. No one is faulting any hotel for charging anything they want. Who cares? It wasn’t an opinion, it was from the reviews. I also prefaced there were as many good reviews as there were bad ones.

-I’ve been to LV many times, primarily the Bellagio. Its a beautiful property inside and out. I don’t gamble, it doesn’t interest me.

no, there was no debate intended. we were merely discussing the bad reviews..the security, the housekeeping that did not remove his food trolley, the hotel thefts..we were in effect trying to build a picture of how this particular hotel operates.. the scene of the crime..
thats what we were doing.
exactly.
thanks..
