While there are many unanswered questions, some answers to questions that cause me to raise an eyebrow, and some strange circumstances, the basics of the few conspiracy theories I’ve read related to this case… make no sense. They don’t “fit”... there is no logical “working puzzle”.

I consider myself a reasonable skeptic… which also applies to the CT’s.

Finally, the worst of the worst are the “fake/denier” theories... the most cruel.

All jmo.

i'm having a problem with this part
Investigators suspect gunman removed the hard drive from the laptop after opened fire from his high-rise suite at the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino into a crowd at a country music concert, killing 58 people and wounded hundreds of others, an official told the Associated Press.

I read this before and I dont understand what it means or how they could have deduced he removed hard drive aFTER he had started shooting.??

It is possible that they can tell what time the hard drive was removed from the computer from forensically analyzing the computer. They know what time he started shooting. So they just matched them up and made the conclusion that the hard drive was removed after he fired his first shots.

IMO

Seems he liked to make people feel inferior to him, to demean them. I believe the reports from people who said he used to belittle his girlfriend. He probably treated others at the casino, etc. the same way. Killing people and getting rid of the hard drive was probably his little extra dig at LE and the casino. He wanted to try to make them feel inferior. He must have been a very bitter, unhappy person. Injustice collector who spent his entire life getting revenge against others any way he could.

"Go get me a sandwich" comes to mind...

"Sending away " his girlfriend comes to mind. Didn't she say " I thought he was breaking up with me?" It gives us some insight into their dynamic. That he would just buy her a ticket out of nowhere, 'send her" to the Philippines, and that she would just sort of willingly go and then sit around wondering if she was being dumped by this guy.

I want to see a guy just "send me away" without my own understanding of why he purchased a "cheap" ticket for me. And without my own desire to travel.

SP definitely sounds like he was arrogant , from his depo and from the descriptions of him by others thus far.

He was a control-freak. He liked to control and manipulate people and things in his environment, JMO. It gave him that sense of superiority that he craved. With his tricks and algorithms, he convinced himself that he could control the gambling games he played, calculating his risk to the last decimal. He had little or no concern about how his activities affected others - they were just tools to him to get what he wanted - money, sex, food, etc. Perhaps came from his environment growing up - that overpowering desire to control everything and everyone around him.

At some level, when controlling his environment no longer gave him the satisfaction it once did, his guard was down and he began to fantasize about the ultimate control - taking the lives of others. Taking someone's life is the ultimate act of control, of bending another to your will, of exercising the ultimate power move. He killed all those people because he enjoyed it. He enjoyed planning and executing the plan. He hoped to get away with it so he could do it again. When he knew police would capture him, he took his own life - his last act of controlling his life, his environment.

There are many killers who have the same need for power and control. It's a common motivator for rapists and killers.

thrill seeker. I agree. He was bored and needed a new thrill.

It was JC. Stated as fact by one of the wacko right wing journalists on Twitter.

-It’s refreshing to see written accountability from ANY source. In this case it’s Newsweek. And like much of this entire investigation it’s difficult to keep up with the reports. I recalled ML as the incorrect 2 SS, another recalled JC as the incorrect 2 SS. Both recollections are correct. My point is this is confusing at best. There are many ‘2’s mixed in throughout. Its taking more than a village but we can do it!

-And even here, it says retracted the report of the 2 husbands but vague in the retracting of the 2 SS.

***NEWSWEEK HAS RETRACTED ITS STORY that reviewed public records of Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock***

The initial report was based on the marriage record of Danley, who was known under a different name when she married Geary Danley in Clark County, Nevada. NEWSWEEK MISTAKENLY matched that record to a second public record of a different person.

***Newsweek has pulled back a report in which it said Stephen Paddock’s live-in gal pal Marilou Danley was married to two men at the same time***

“The initial report was based on many public records, but included an error that came to light after publication when a family member came forward.”

Included in Newsweek’s earlier report was that Danley has used two Social Security numbers, once declared bankruptcy and had multiple addresses.

The Philippine native, who remains a “person of interest,” was out of the country when Paddock carried out the deadliest mass shooting in US history.

She returned from the Philippines late Tuesday, landing in Los Angeles, where she was greeted by federal agents who are eager to find out if she can shed light on the heinous crime.

The government has access and knowledge to all cellphone and internet activity, past and present. The FBI and DHS do not really need Paddock's hard drive. All the information is located at the NSA data center in Utah, accessible through the Prism program. Anything you or me do on our cellphones or on the computer/internet is recorded and stored away in a giant supercomputer in Utah. Big Brother really is watching us all. Interesting yet sort of scary.

"Privacy and civil liberties advocates raised concerns about the unique capabilities that such a facility would give to intelligence agencies. They park stuff in storage in the hopes that they will eventually have time to get to it, said James Lewis, a cyberexpert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, or that they'll find something that they need to go back and look for in the masses of data. But, he added, most of it sits and is never looked at by anyone. The UDC was expected to store internet data as well as phone records from the controversial NSA Call Database when it opened in 2013.

" PRISM is a code name for a program under which the NSA collects internet communications from at least nine major US internet companies. The program is also known by the SIGADUS-984XN. PRISM collects stored internet communications based on demands made to internet companies such as Google Inc. under Section 702 of the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 to turn over any data that match court-approved search terms. The NSA can use these PRISM requests to target communications that were encrypted when they traveled across the internet backbone, to focus on stored data that telecommunication filtering systems discarded earlier, and to get data that is easier to handle, among other things."

-Our privacy has long sense vanished. Sad but it is the truth. This is one of the main reasons that there should be no reason for timeline inconsistencies. There is a digital footprint for all parties on the property (and beyond) regardless of which type of device. Its basic. Its the reason why the victims and others are grievously and understandably frustrated. They have had this basic info in their possession from the onset-no subpoena necessary.

-Authentic digital sources don’t lie.

He took a bullet to the head in Las Vegas. Now, online conspiracists call him a faker

Braden Matejka endured the worst experience of his life when he took a bullet to the back of the head in Las Vegas, amid the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Now, the 30-year-old Lake Country resident has been chased off social media by conspiracy theorists who have called him a faker and even issued death threats.

FWIW, Brandon is in BC, and this morning Paul Johnson, one of our Global News reporters, was talking about how he had visited Brandon in hospital and seen the hole in his head that the bullet had made.

BC's young Jordan McIldoon was killed in the massacre.

Another young man from BC, Sheldon Mack, son of one of our BC news anchors, shot twice

IMO, it is absolutely unconscionable that anyone is trying to make this very real tragedy out to be some huge conspiracy.

He was a highly skilled sniper Cariis. From the outset his skills have been acknowledged as sniper like. this description first arose because of the distance he stood back from the window while firing, in order to prevent the gunfire being identified as coming from his window, or even as gunfire.
Re the bullets, we dont have crime scene photos, they are not published yet.. So there will be images of bullet damage, I expect..
It happened okay.. people died, the bullets did not magically disappear and dissolve after the event.
Look at the NYT video presentation..
Has it been reported he was a highly skilled sniper? I haven't read that but I could have missed it! I know he had trajectories on paper but I assume he used that laptop for research?

Also notice the NYT video seems to miss the fireworks sound or bursts right at the beginning of Jason Alden performing. Moo

Thanks I've read the articles, but I meant a trained sniper. Not sniper-like.
I'd like to know how he learned to shoot like this.. I don't imagine you could just do this at the drop of a hat.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/thinking-man/10740415/What-does-it-take-to-be-a-military-sniper.html

“You have to be mentally as well as physically robust,” says the 43-year-old, who asks not to be named. “I’ve trained a lot of guys, but there are some individuals who in the end can’t take a shot, and that’s not their fault.

“They can practice as much as they like, but when they’re actually there and looking at a target – a fellow human being – and they know that simply by squeezing that trigger another person is going to cease to exist, they can’t do it.”

I don't see SP as either mentally or physically robust. Moo

What is wrong with people that they feel the need to do such horrible things, especially to victims of a terrible tragedy like this?

What is it that's filling people with such hate and intolerance?

Excuse me asking, but it seems like we're splitting hairs here. What is your point? What are you trying to say? TIA

Dark events encourage dark entities and there is always a massive influx in the wake of big terror events, sometimes during.. they feed off the pain of others, it appears to strengthen their ability to inflict cruelty. With impunity.

-Anything we can do to thwart the dark matters...big or small. Its disappointing that MGM isn’t doing more for the victims of this tragedy. Confusion is a breeding ground for more confusion. Its the opposite to ‘order’...and an easier target for the dark to access the vulnerable. In my opinion the endless lack of order from MGM-LE-FBI is greatly contributing to it. It could be far different for the victims if the collective goal was for their best interest.

-Sure there will always be conspiracy theorist but the tighter we stand for truth a difference can be made.

Maybe those who are far more spiritually evolved can effect change, in the ethers.. beyond duality..
The best the rest of us can do is to try to ensure their actions dont weaken us.. Thats no so easy.. See SillyBilly's post below..
I read it and my hear sunk with a thump and I couldn't even reply to it..
I suppose to recognise the energies is important and to retain that recognition..

I'm not in USA.
But felt the impact. I study terrorism so well accustomed to big massacres. but I certainly expected an awful lot more from the authorities.. those you mentioned..
I wondered how they would work together to heal and reassure , the world, really..
Instead I feel am witnessing a completely disempowered LE who cannot or will not go the distance..
And the time has passed. That window of opportunity has closed.
I understand how long investigations can take and how thorough they must be.. I understand a perpetrator going to pains to hide his life, successfully, I understand they are human, fallible and eroded personally and professionally.
But I fail to understand why channels of communication were so flawed, shut down and closed leaving victims, witnesses and the general population adrift.
They came in, took charge of case and ownership of information and then they went away again , with the information, unshared.

Its causing chaos, not on websleuths much, but just about everywhere the discussion comes up- these are the talking points..
Its not just us and its not just me..
People are forced to suppress their own thoughts and feelings.. and on a scale like this- that will have a bigger effect on communities, societies, countries..
It will foster a climate of fear, paranoia, manipulation by unscrupulous media..
Chaos will be the result.

They are known as "auto-hoaxers". I don't think they are filled with hate and intolerance. I just think they really do believe all major events like this are faked.
