Just wondering why people from outside the area are viewed as a detriment, or "distractors," and why their opinions and wanting justice for someone outside of their own local area is a bad thing? Seems to me that ANY advocacy is a good thing, and Jen is getting a lot of it from all over the WORLD.
I'm sure that CJ will come and explain what he meant, but I do want to point out that he didn't use the word "detriment." And I don't think he meant it as a slam against any of the regulars here who have been so concerned about Jennifer. I interpreted his statement to be voicing frustration about some of the statements here that the locals haven't done enough, and they should be camped out at the Sherriff's office, or be more vocal...those sorts of statements.
The problem is...there's a certain truth to those sorts of statements, but it's like preaching to the choir. The locals who are HERE seem to all be quite active in getting the word out, and taking action to do searches and making and putting up posters and posting on local media and setting up a FB page just for Jennifer, and making helpful videos and maps, and checking to see where cameras are located and if there's any helpful footage, and explaining local life, and prodding the Sheriff's office, and perhaps even putting themselves in harm's way in doing so. 3 cheers for these locals and may their tribe increase!
