I suppose one of my thoughts would be is that if you were the spouse of a missing person, you might go through old articles (like us) to see if there were any clues that had been missed.

But I can't quite fathom why you might want to mirror another person's description of your spouse. Especially when it didn't come over that well originally.

I am not criticising the neighbour here at all. Sounds to me as though they were doing their best to help with a press question, but were struggling a little to find the most informative thing to say to help in the search for Jennifer.

Jan 30th, 2013.

This is a tiny thing that makes me stop in my tracks. I don't know what, if anything, it could mean at all.

I do know I find it an unusual way to refer to someone you know - 'the Mom', 'the one'.....I can see why one person might have a pretty unique way of speaking to the press. Yet here are two people doing it, in reference to the same person, just over a month apart. Had the person in the last article remembered the comment from the first, and was echoing it, consciously or unconsciously?Or had they been reading through old articles and.....I don't know, I really don't, but I can't help thinking about it.

I thought that was an odd statement to make too! Its almost like GR was referring to two different people! Plus, when i first looked at her missing photos, i couldnt believe they were both of the same person, regardless of the loss of weight. The mouth is different, the nose and even the eyes are a different color. Could it be that there were two different women involved in this? Could this be why the change of haircolor was mentioned? Maybe to coverup the differences? When you look at some of the pictures of her when she was heavier, she doesnt look at all like the one with her with that knitted hat on. I wonder if anyone who works at the kids school or in her church or anywhere she frequented noticed any change in her like has been said? Something to think about i guess.

Help me please. I have read that "Joe was infuriated." several times. I must have missed that Could someone please tell me what that is about?

Also, to post a picture ( presumably to help find Jennifer) with a hat on really doesn't help at all. Then throw in hair dye, change in color. None of which have any clues to what she looked like when she "left." Was there ever any mention of her true hair color and the box hair color or even the color the stylist used right before she"left"?

I'm struggling a bit to find that article. Do I recall correctly that it was a blog post? If anyone has a date or knows where the article is, that would be greatly appreciated.

What details are you looking for?

zwiebel, I'm confused as to what article you are trying to find or what its about? Thanks

Sorry, it's the Joe Mahoney article which mentioned about the previous coverage of Jennifer's case. And he was accused of being a nitwit for writing it?

(ETA, not by any of us, I hasten to add)

I should probably have clarified - I don't think Joe's writing comes across as 'infuriated' or even 'unreasonable'. It is just my opinion that he is pretty infuriated by it all.

ETA; All in answer to Dansmom's original question about who is the Joe who is infuriated?

I took GR's comment to mean that GR felt that JM (the reporter) had treated him as though he [GR] was a nitwit...a fool.

Ganesh Ramsaran also voiced frustration in that interview that a reporter wrote that he had declined to discuss whether he had taken out a life insurance policy on his wife.

“I’ve been totally open and honest with you from the beginning, and you’ve treated me like some nitwit,” he [GR] said.

Oooh yes. Well, that had turned around in my mind. I don't know why I had got the impression it was Joe who was being called a nitwit, but at least that word helped me finally find the article, anyway!

I am very excited by that timeline and flyer on the fb page. They are SO factual but SO informative. Only one wish I would have -that the mention of the possibility of the 'nosebleed' could go in, after the finding of the van. I really like it though. Lots of hard work there, and looking things up.

That sort of listing is close to my heart.....This is a sample of what I've been doing and why I'm getting confuddled. I've got about 10 links in my tool bar at the moment..

Sorting all the media by date, and pulling out relevant quotes to remind us what the article is so we don't have to open link after link, and make it easier for newbies. The more attention, the better. It just takes me ages though - my ipad won't even let me copy and paste a single bit of text.
I thought the link to the media thread could go in some signatures after, to make it easier for people to nip back and find any references.

There is one more thing I would love to see on that new flyer - where the Sheriff number for info is, if it could mention that people calling in tips or info can remain confidential. The Sheriff's Office have said that, and I think that can be very important to some people, especially if they have close links to the case, or people around the case.

It does say that - All calls will be kept confidential. Unless it wasn't there before and was just added?

Yes, it is mentioned on the flyer itself, Thanks, I hadn't spotted that (even though it was in the most obvious place, duh.) I was talking about the very last post in the timeline, but it's really not important as it is on the actual flyer at the top.

But if he is guilty, why would he even plant her phone, knowing that LE could maybe get evidence off it? Why wouldnt he just have thrown it away where it couldnt be found? Unless, he knew there might be evidence on it that would exonerate him and he wanted it to be found?

If Jennifer left the house without her phone, which is possible if she were not alive when she left the house, any LE pinging the phone would locate it at the last place it was before the battery died, or the phone was shut off. It would be incriminating if the last broadcast from the phone was during the day, Dec. 11, on Sheff Road. If the phone were thrown away, the last ping would either (again) be Sheff Road, or the dumpster. The dumpster would indicate the phone was thrown away by someone nearby, (or, if not nearby, would still give some insight into it being deliberately disposed of by someone other than Jennifer) so wouldn't it be better to ditch the phone along the route of the supposed abduction? Then it looks like Jennifer had her phone and she or someone else threw it out the window. The time lapse in locating this phone is significant. It would take some time to position the phone to fit the scenario. I do think this is the one concrete piece of evidence in the case.

'Cutting said there are dozens of leads to follow...'

This is good, to me. The Sheriff's Office has something, and they are working on it. It takes a long time to follow-up properly but I am wishing them every success, because that's how Jennifer's case will be solved, imo.

I can only hope all the people they have spoken to have done the right thing and told LE any and everything they knew. If they have not.....now is the time to come forward.

GR stated that any attempt for him to call JR on that day went straight to voicemail....so there will be no register on her phone of missed calls...but I assume there will be calls from GR's to hers to set an alibi. (also means her phones was turned off) Also POB said that she was on her gaming sight that morning at 630am so that is the only time that we know of that she was on her phone...other than that it could have been turned off...which of course goes against her seemingly daily routine of going on and off her gaming sight....she doesn't seem like she would have either let her phone battery die or have her phone off if she was that invested in playing her phone game.
