I think it would be really nice if there was some sort of vigil in Norwich. Now that the community knows who she is and has some theories as to what has happened, I think there would be a good turn out.

Mother's Day would be a great day for the vigil.

It is so sad that the 30 seconds in the evening sun paper acts like people are stupid asking questions about Jenn. And all there reply is there is nothing new. I think locals are fed up :floorlaugh: and are going to be heard one way or another! We all want the same thing Justice for Jennifer!

They've got blogs. They've got tweets. They've got stories about shoes.

They're missing the big one, in my opinion, and they're going to regret it. 'I missed the story' isn't something that goes down well on a resume.

In my opinion, as a former editor and journalist, this is the opportunity for a newbie to the profession to really make a name for themselves. It won't be easy, but it would be worth it. Obviously, this isn't just my opinion..... I talked to my friend at the New York Times first.

but no further response. The likes on this site went from under 100 to 167. Lets keep blowing up the page asking questions they can answer without hurting the case.
Valid point why no crimestoppers reward? Here is an email for those who want to help ask for coverage Email: crimestoppers1@optonline.net For the locals is that not used in your area? http://nyscrimestoppers.org/
Would love to see more on the Sheriff page but you have to be a friend to comment. https://www.facebook.com/chenango.sheriff?fref=ts they do not appear to be accepting new friends :(
This is the published email bgolden@evesun.com for Evening Sun Brian Golden.... maybe if we all send him a message asking for coverage and photos of the vehicle to be published. Sometimes when many people ask they will respond

I haven't checked J4J today, but yesterday, it looked like they were tentatively planning a vigil for Saturday, the day before Mother's Day.

It would be nice if the local media were alerted so they could cover the event -- Brian Golden of the Evening Sun, Joe Mahoney of Daily Star, as well as the Binghamton and Syracuse TV stations that have been carrying her stories previously.

It's only a guess, but I strongly suspect that if anything is organised, local media will be kept well informed. I think those involved with J4J have been working very hard to keep her case in the media.

I think momentum's building, if you know what I mean? Lack of information leads to speculation and fears and even people who would usually stay quiet get provoked into speaking out. It's different in a small community than a big city - fewer people are involved. But because it's smaller, each person participating becomes more important.

I just don't believe Jennifer's case will grow cold and be allowed to drift into obscurity. It would leave such a terrible scar on the community, because what's happened to her and her family is so terrible.

I think it's interesting that the ed of the Evening Sun has chosen to respond to two posts about Jennifer. To my mind, that shows he is aware of some dissatisfaction amongst his readers of the coverage. He has said he will cover any new, legitimate information. A vigil would be both of those.........

ETA: I'm wondering what any new, 'illegitimate' info is that he might have heard about? I'd love to know.

I'm not suggesting anyone post illegitimate info by the way! That'll only lead to tears.

I was just pondering, is all.

Well we all got a reply from Ed in the evening sun. He stated on 30 seconds there will be a Update in Fridays paper! I don't think they like being called out. The locals are making the noise they need to even if it makes others mad! Way to go locals.

Thanks for that, nanasbabes. I imagine provoking a journalist into writing a story isn't such a serious crime, even in Chenango County. I hope that anyone who gets mad, forgives just as quick. It's all for Jennifer, after all.

Update on Friday! Yes! Thank you, Evening Sun. Let's quote it and link it as much as possible when it appears, to encourage more.

What happened to Jennifer?

Evening Sun will have an update to all the 30 seconds questions or an update on Jennifer? I'm not going to be happy if they just address us asking questions they should have already addressed, IMO. If there is a legitimate response, which I can't imagine. They better have a very good and creative writer to just blow smoke up our bums (a little love for our out of the country friends). I don't know how I feel about this . . .

I would urge everyone to continue to send comments. I'm looking forward to Friday. Here is the link http://www.evesun.com/30seconds/reaction/

No response here https://www.facebook.com/theeveningsun but they will get posted unlike some comments that have no shown up on the link above

Just as I suspected, a rude response as usual. That type of response from the evening Sun is unacceptable! This attitude is why Jennifer has been on the back burners this entire time! What a load of carp!

I think LE will continue to be silent until they have established a cause and manner of death. I doubt anything will happen in the meantime.

As far as the media, just as in so many other cases, they generally will only report news. If nothing is new, we often see long periods of quiet by the media in many cases.

Perhaps they would publish letters to the editor, something like that, if one was written by a concerned local.

BBM. I did and they didn't.

I wouldn't get to excited because you won't even get a bone.

The way I feel at least they know people are not going to let this case go cold.
