Back in the Spring I had a free trial to Pictometry.com before Google Earth started using them. I uploaded those photos from Pictometry for our members here and I provided a link for everyone to view them back on Thread #6 of these discussions.

thank you...they are great pics

I'm not so sure. This isn't his usual M.O. in terms of how he abducts women, nor was this woman typical of the type of victim he seems to go after. I also think that the LISK would have been arrogant enough to tell her that he was the LISK to send a message to the police.

Whoever this was seems as though he didn't put a whole lot of caution into what he was doing. He let his victim see him and his car. He picked his victim randomly, as well, which makes it seem more impulsive to me.

I wouldn't be surprised if this guy gets arrested by the end of the week.

I agree...I just don't think this is the same "modus operandi"...it just doesn't fit.

I don't think it was *him* either. Serial killers are not stupid, this guy was stupid. This abductor is an amateur at best.

I hope someone with more skill than I can take a still shot of the composite and post it on this thread. hint, hint ;)

The Oak Beach house an escort was seen running from before she disappeared last year is up for sale.
Shannan Gilbert, 24, of Jersey City, was an escort whose disappearance last year sparked the discovery of 10 bodies in the Gilgo Beach area. She has not been found.
According to real estate records, the two-story wood-paneled beach house was listed for $439,000 in March, but the price was reduced to $399,999 in September.

Very strange how after ten months for sale it is newsworthy now?

OT (kind of), but

As of today, Craigslist in all of Canada has been shut down. In googling WRT that issue, there are other news articles, seemingly unrelated to the Canadian issue, that FBI are investigating Craigslist related crimes in the US where victims have been lured to their death (no mention of LISK that I see):

SG lived only a few blocks from the Grove street station for the PATH train. 33rd st & 6th ave are one of the PATH train stops. MP revealed to someone that SG's first stop was for a man in an apartment close by.

....

Our SK has made phone calls from Madison Square Garden, one block away from the 33rd st PATH station (and connected underground via walkways)!!!

....

The key to finding out who abducted SG originates in Midtown Manattan.

...

"At the corner of 32nd Street and 6th Avenue, she pulled out her cellphone and called her driver, Michael Pak, he said. It was 10:02 p.m...By midnight, she was at her first appointment, a man in a nearby apartment, Pak said....

OK Seaslug, you got me thinking again. SY's outpatient facility is between 32nd and 31st Street on 5th Avenue. That's like a bock away from where SG probably got off the PATH train.

Now map that location to the inpatient facility at 555 w 57th st.

Passes right through Broadway.

This got me thinking again about his Wikipedia page...

...is involved in musical theater, having invested in such Broadway hits as The Producers, Hairspray, Sweeney Todd, and Little Shop of Horrors...

Check out Sweeney Todd:
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Sweeney_Todd_(musical)
"Act 1 - The company—citizens of London—assembles to perform a no-frills burial, dumping a body in a sack into a shallow grave. The company sings "The Ballad of Sweeney Todd", introducing the tale of "Demon Barber of Fleet Street"...

Check out the movie version (and note the image on the right - "The Tale of the 1st Serial Killer"):
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/The_Tale_of_Sweeney_Todd
"...he hides himself in a burlap sack and has himself deposited in her pie shop cellar with a delivery of meat. There he makes a gruesome discovery that spurs him to confront Todd, who overpowers and binds him. As he prepares his instruments to torture Carlyle to death, he explains what led him to a life of murder and cannibalism. Charlie, who has managed to free himself from his shackles, stabs Todd in the back, killing him...."

Anyway, his other offices at 145 W 45TH St. Like a block away from the Port Authority Bus Terminal where MBB disappeared from.

Over at LISK, someone (I think Fluke) mentioned that he's got a landscaper in OB that wraps his bushes/shrubs with burlap for the winter. Take it with a grain of salt, but it's worth something since it could be verified.

My only other thought was related to the "Mickey Mouse" burner phone that was discovered by police (possibly used by the SK). Mickey Mouse was like INVENTED on Broadway. And Disney is huge on Broadway. Think Fantasia, etc.

Not sure that there's any strong connections here, just food for thought.

I thought Disney was invented on celluloid...with Mickey Mouse....Fantasia is a film...

Disney was king of animation..

SCPD thinks 1 killer is responsible for ALL 10 deaths!!!

And they also believe the SG is not connected to these murders!!!

SCPD thinks 1 killer is responsible for ALL 10 deaths!!!

And they also believe the SG is not connected to these murders!!!

According to Newsday, Suffolk County police are changing their theory about the Ocean Parkway murders and now believe one killer is responsible.

An exclusive Newsday report says police now believe one killer likely murdered all 10 people whose bodies were found littering the area near Gilgo Beach.

Police had earlier suggested that two or more killers had used the area as a dumping ground for their victims.

Newsday also says that police believe the killer is a Long Islander.

The story will appear exclusively in tomorrow's Newsday. The cover reads, "New Gilgo Theory."

so, all ten...resident...coming around....wonder what the nexus is?...they have something linking these victims, because the victimology would rule out a few of them....

SG? no? what about the calls?

weird...I want to hear this one.

I had thought all along that all the deaths were connected but could it really be possible that Shannan's disappearance is unrelated? I can't really wrap my mind around that one.

ETA: I am SO GLAD this case is getting attention again.

Something bothers me about this Chad Johnson story:

http://www.longislandpress.com/2011...sed-to-papain-murder-burned-clothes-at-gilgo/

I just find it so hard to fathom that this guy took this girls clothes all the way to Gilgo Beach to burn them! I just don't see him doing that. A black man at Gilgo Beach burning something in the middle of the night. He would almost certainly get caught by the Babylon Town Bay Constable or someone else. It doesn't add up for me.

For me, I think he knew that his cell phone pinged those towers down there so he had to come up with a reason for being down there. I am not saying he is THE serial killer. But I think he may be part of a group that is responsible for disposing of those bodies at Gilgo.

Who is this guy connected with? I think this is a good lead to follow.

I'm inclined to believe that LISK holds onto the dismembered body parts (head, hands, feet) for a while before he discards them elsewhere. We've been wondering where his other dumping grounds are located. I hope LE in Yonkers did a thorough search of the area where these remains were discovered.

But wait a minute...we said he is in his 50's and getting too old to dismember...perhaps he did this one for , you know..., old times sake.

Nearly a year into their investigation of the Gilgo Beach murders, Suffolk police have revised their theory of the case: A single serial killer is probably to blame for all 10 victims, and it's likely a Long Islander.
And the longer the killer eludes capture, Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer said, the greater the fear that there will be new victims.
"That's a possibility, and that's why we are moving as fast as we possibly can to apprehend this person," Dormer told Newsday Tuesday in an interview...

He described some of the circumstances that back the single-killer theory, while declining to discuss in detail the forensic evidence and leads his detectives were following.
"The sex workers dumped in the same place, the ages of the victims and even though we did have a male and a toddler's remains found, we believe that they may be connected to the sex business," he said...
