wow that other message board was an eye opener to me. This got me thinking, that maybe this driver was hired by JB! Maybe JB is doing one of those snuff films that message board mentioned she has heard RUMORS of such.

JB is not a named POI but in my book he is a big suspect.

Thinking more on the "EAST" facing bodies. Maybe a local can help out. If the person who dumped the bodies, pulled their car off the road, dragged the body out of the car and the body laid there which way is east? Of course I would imagine that the SK would grab the head area first, gripping under the arms to pull the bodies out. So if that is the case would the bodies be facing East?
The birds, maybe the bodies were not dumped until the they were skeletons. The ones that were not, this could be the reason for the burlap sacks. After all he probably learning and perfecting after each kill.

The fact that that other blog mentioned that JB was with the driver when the driver left after the older man told him he called the police. First I heard of that, and of course RUMOR...but this person did stated some things were found out via a cop friend. Just wow!

Though I don't think I have seen it definitively said which bodies are which.... my personal theory is....

April 4 - furthest east - woman (or possibly man) and child

March 29 - man (or possibly woman)

Dec 11, Dec 13 and April 4 - 4 identified and 1 other woman

There is always a chance that the child was found with a man and the body alone was a woman...

I just think it is more likely that the man was alone.... and that the child was with a woman separate from the original 4.

I don't want to entertain the idea that a baby was dumped out there alone.

Just my logical thinking though and this isn't exactly logical.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the significance of placing the victims with their faces facing east? I ask because I'm wondering if it may be based upon some kind of religous belief (theology)? I haven't seen anything posted - unless I missed it - regarding the perpertrator's possible religous preferences (...possible underlying motivation or simply a factor in the deposal process?) in any of the wonderful indepth profiles provided by several posters here. Many followers of Christianity believe that graves face east because that's where Jesus will return from (second coming);

I don't believe the LI bodies were facing east. I've heard that one rumor, but without confirmation, it means nothing to me.

If it turns out the LI bodies were all facing east, it would be significant to me ONLY in that it told me the bodies weren't dumped from a moving vehicle. I'm not big on playing mind tag with serial killers...1). I don't have the time, and 2). I don't have the inclination to make them feel special or important. They aren't.

Can someone please enlighten me as to when this occurred and who was involved in said activity? Also, how does this activity fits into the timeline with regards to Shannan's disappearance? Specific details would be greatly appreciated.

A couple things stood out to me.

It states that JB had apparently been estranged from his wife and young children at the time that Shannan disappeared, and that they (his family) had been living with his mother during the estrangement. Odd arrangement, in my opinion.

After Shannan's disappearance, JB returned to live at his mother's home--even though he, or his family, own(s) several rental homes in that area.

There is no indication as to how soon after Shannan disappeared JB returned to the family home.

The Oak Beach house has since been sold. I find this particularly interesting because IF any crimes occurred in or at the Oak Beach home, police will now have to go through the new homeowners if they (law enforcement) feel a need to search for physical evidence.

Someone earlier had posted that they had driven past one of the houses owned by JB's family and found it to be in disrepair in comparison to surrounding homes. Was this house occupied? Could it have been used to store "unwanted items" prior to disposal?

As to the U-Haul issue, I wonder what it was that made the neighbors find this such an oddity. Who was the other man helping JB load whatever it was into the van? Were JB and his associate acting strangely while loading the U-Haul van? Were they attempting to be covert or secretive so that no one could see what they were doing? Were they looking around over their shoulders to see who was watching them load the van? Why did the neighbors find this activity to be so mysterious that they recounted it several months later?

Thanks Eliza, I think you may be right ab out that. It really amazes me how this relatively small area of Suffolk County can demand such highly trained men. I am impressed.

It's because they don't have their own police department. They're part of the SCPD 1st Precint which covers a large area. Plus it's a serial killer I would expect them to use their best people in the department.

Times will vary considerably due to traffic conditions that depend upon time of day, day of the week, weather conditions and construction projects. Also, when something "big" is going on in the city (like the president visiting the U.N. or a parade) or if it's the Summertime and it's a good beach weather day, you can add up to another hour to these times;

1. NY Port Authority Bus Terminal to Oak Beach
ranges from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours average. However, very few people really ever drive. A better route is taking a cab, bus or subway to Penn Station and then the LIRR. Still 1.5 hours but more reliable.

2. Massapequa to Oak Beach
35 - 45 minutes.
3. Massapequa to NY Port Authority Bus Terminal
1 to 2.5 hours.
4. Happauge to Oak Beach
about 35 minutes.
5. Higbie Rd. Islip, to Oak Beach
about 15 to 20 minutes.

Also, keep in mind that if it's the middle of the night or early in the morning, you can speed and probably not get caught. This reminded me about something VERY IMPORTANT about location of where to the SK dumps his bodies that I will post next...

Hi, I apologize if this has been discussed thoroughly already, but something else to think of in regard to the travel routes that have been posted.

The two calls made by the SK from Manhattan to the sister were from MSG and Times Square.

What else is at MSG? Penn Station.

The major subway line runs from Times Square to Port Authority? The busiest train line in Manhattan...and a free transfer using the underground passage way.

Just something else to consider I think

Sorry I am still trying to catch up on the posts last night...in regard to the similarities with the women, in terms of facial similarity, I wanted to post this picture of a young girl who went missing from a Newark, NJ bar/grill on 2/9/2006. She was not a prostitute, however, was last seen with an unknown white male at the bar who lured her to his car, as she told friends in the bar she was going to look at a picture in his car. She has never been seen or heard from again.

An escort review board owner was arrested for trying to hire a hitman to murder a woman and attack an owner of a niagara review board out of Pheonix. I am glad that LE is now checking all the ip addresses for this case. Can the FBI trace anomyous posters?

PIX 11 spoke to former NYPD detective Michael Zotto about the difficulties in hunting down suspects by their “IP” addresses. “IP” stands for “Internet Protocol”. A healthy person could probably survive 40F over night, but if she got wet, her survival time would go way down. Hypothermia can happen very quickly -- and as your body temperature drops, your mental functioning tends to deteriorate as well, leading you to more unwise decisions. Yeah, she'd have had a decent chance of surviving, but not guaranteed.

SG was last sighted between 5 and 6 AM by a number of witnesses. She wouldn't have been there overnight unless she hid and passed out and remained there all day. Is the report credible that she was pulled into a black truck at the end of her 911 call?

I hate it when msm picks up on something we've sleuthed! The minute they do, you reach a dead end on that line of sleuthing, because the only thing that comes up in a search are links to the msm articles. They've already killed 2 avenues I was persuing. Drives me NUTS!
