Psychic Predicts Location of Victims of Long Island Serial Killer

snip
In April, the clairvoyant, hired by the desperate family of Melissa Barthelemy, 24, of Buffalo, chillingly saw "her body buried in a shallow grave overlooking a body of water," the police source said. The psychic also said "there was a 'G' in a sign nearby."

Rolling my eyes HARD.

a "G" in a nearby sign. Are you kidding me? I would bet there was an "N" in a nearby sign too.

Shallow grave? really? were any of the bodies found in a shallow grave? Overlooking a body of water? Nope. "near" ...but certainly "not overlooking"

A suspect in the disappearance of one of the Gilgo Beach victims taunted the woman's family and eluded police who were monitoring calls from her cell phone, a law enforcement source said.

In the days after Melissa Barthelemy disappeared on July 12, 2009, a man made calls from her cell phone on July 16, 19, and 23 to her teenage sister. The caller referred to Barthelemy as "a *advertiser censored*," according to the source, who asked not to be identified.

New York City police monitoring the phone determined the calls were coming from midtown Manhattan - near Penn Station and Madison Square Garden and by Times Square. But the caller didn't stay on the line long enough for police to find him.

Not long after Barthelemy's disappearance, someone also accessed her voice mail. Using a court subpoena, police got phone records that showed the call was made from Massapequa, about a 20-mile drive from where the skeletons were eventually found.

In August 2009, police canvassed two hotels there - the Budget Inn (now the Rodeway Inn) and The Best Western - and reviewed surveillance video, but found nothing of interest.

imo, i think it''s odd the killer called barthelemy's family to harass and also checked her voicemail, yet he didn't do this to the other girls.

would it be possible the killer had met with barthelemy prior and was checking her voicemail to make sure that she hadn't said anything to anyone about him?

he seems to have singled her out as far as the cell calls harassing and checking her voicemail.

he also knows to not stay on the phone long enough for police to find him.
he's organized enough to do that. i wonder if he is the type that is technologically advanced to cover his computer tracks as well, such as using a set up to bounce temp ip's to not show his true location.

or he might have fake ids he uses to stay at motels and disguises himself and uses their wifi.

SBM: Yes, but Craig's List would have IP addresses of whoever contacted them. How freaking hard can it be to look for the same IP address in 4 (or 5) people's Craig's List accounts??? Maybe he changes computers or has a roaming IP address... I can guarantee you there is something about him that is consistent from contact to contact. They should just give us access to the info.... we would do it in record time!!! AGHH!!!! This case is starting to drive me nuts! FOUR dead girls, all with a common denominator??? A 5th girl - WITH THE SAME DENOMINATOR (Craig's List) missing!!!! Something isn't adding up here.

this is what makes me think he might be some type of computer techie or at least extremely knowledgable on how to cover his tracks online.

Three critical signatures of the Atlantic City serial killer include four murders within a month, the absence of shoes on the victims and ligature or manual strangulation. The bodies were displayed in a line in the bay weeds.

The critical signatures of the Long Island killer, if the murders were all from the same person, is the manner of murder and the use of burlap bags. The bags can be tracked by the FBI Evidence Unit by analysis of fibers and the location where they were made or sold. These women were also laid out in a group along a desolate road and in the scrub weeds of the beach

The Atlantic City victims were also all discovered wearing no shoes, and had died as a result of stangulation.

this article makes me think that le isn't telling us a lot. they have to have at least several things to go on that make them think these cases are connected.

does anyone know the height and weight of the girls that were murdered in ac or how i can find out?

i tried googling the other day yet couldn't come up with anything

I have a prepaid phone and I have the option of connecting to the internet. I don't use it because it costs extra. I can also text but that also costs extra. Hope this helps. :)

From the link below (SBM):
"It appears the seaside sicko may be hunting a certain type of prostitute - all three were tiny women under 5 feet and about 100 pounds.".... "Similarities in how the women were killed and dumped, their body types and ages, and use of craigslist to advertise has fueled the theory that a lone maniac is the culprit." ...... "Authorities have not said how the women were killed, but a source said, "There are substantial similarities in terms of the causes of death."

"Megan Waterman, 22, a Maine sex worker missing since the summer. She was 5-feet-5 and 150 pounds."

"Arrest records in Florida said Amber Lynn Costello stood just 4-feet-10 and weighed 100 pounds."

"Lynn Barthelemy, was just 4-feet-11 and weighed 95 pounds."

"Maureen Brainard-Barnes, missing since July 2007; A missing persons bulletin at the time of her disappearance listed her as 4-feet-11 and 105 pounds."

Based on that, Waterman doesn't really fit the pattern.

Based on that, Waterman doesn't really fit the pattern.

Waterman's size might be proof that the perceived pattern of "tiny women only" is coincidental -- but she was still on the small side. She could have advertised herself as "petite" without misleading anyone.

Maybe this perp looked for small women because he is small himself, and wanted to minimize his own risk of being overpowered. Or perhaps throwing the bodies out of the vehicle is part of the thrill. Can't rule out bizarreness like that with serial killers.

These victims all must have charged relatively high prices for their services. Along with "access to burlap," perhaps this guy's profile should include some socioeconomic status (maybe a successful contractor?). Or perhaps no wife or family, so therefore extra money to spend on escorts.

Women under 5 feet tall are not very common, so I don't think it was a coincidence that at least three of the women were petite. If Ms. Waterman was also a victim of the same killer it may have been that the compulsion to attack hit him, but the killer could not readily obtain his more desired victim type.

Or she knew him.

Atlantic City police identified the victims as Molly Jean Dilts, 20; Kim Raffo, 35; Tracy Ann Roberts, 23; and Barbara V. Breidor, 42.

Found in a drainage ditch in Egg Harbor Township on Monday was identified. The woman is 23-year-old Tracy Ann Roberts. Roberts was a 5'8" tall, white female, about 120 pounds with a butterfly tattoo on the small of her back.

Kim Raffo, 35.

Breidor, 5'7" white female, weighing between 140 and 150 pounds who was dressed in Capri blue pants and a long-sleeved brown zippered jacket when her body was found.

Ms. Dilts — a 5-foot, 160-pound blue-eyed woman with a bulldog tattooed on her back, a Playboy bunny tattooed on her right shoulder, and “Molly” tattooed near her navel.

Thats all I can find. HTH

I dont think they are connected...thats just a feeling I get. Weren't the women in PA street girls? maybe I have it wrong.

I think we are wrong to assume anything in the LI case...the guy could be 6'4 or 6'5,
one thing I think is right on is the idea that he is hidden on the internet...or has a hidden identity. Maybe a suspect with notable lack of internet identity is even more suspicious...

I wonder if they have any idea or focus...this has got to be pretty freaky for the killer...having his little graveyard discovered...

What type of ideology does this seem to convey? There has got to be something.

Found this while exploring.
