Okayyy. Maybe where you live. I sure don't know any 15 year olds who are driving. And I have teenagers. None them or their friends got behind the wheel before they had their permit at 16. Auto insurance in NYS is crazy.

Here in SD, kids can drive at 14. Nephew knew how to d!rive at 14and legally drove at 14.

I just spoke with the detective in Suffolk. He said that reports are ready within a few days.....however, upon him asking me what kind of report, I just said missing persons and he immediately said--exact words "we dont usually give out missing people reports" --and then proceeded to question me...

Although he used the word "usually" he sounded very suspicious and almost angry...I would not suggest going there and trying to pick one up...... or call.... I really had to explain myself.... :blush: :facepalm: :banghead: They are VERY protective.

I'm local. Live about 10 minutes from family home, preserve et al.

Just to rein it in a bit, this preserve is IMO just a bunch of overgrown weeds. Nothing fancy. Small trails. Bird watchers. Ticks. Mosquitos. Dirt parking lot. Not a very sentimental place for suicide.

My official local opinion from the first second I saw this case on TV was "HOLY COW THAT'S A REALLY BIG HOUSE FOR A UNION GUY!" and in Dix Hills no less, a very affluent area. This is what actually made me follow the case. I knew something was up immediately. And then to find out the wife was unempolyed as well...

Also, IMO "You're important" means "Honey, you count. It's not just our huge house, our fabulous trips, and $$$$" And "Keep you safe" means from the IRS, Creditors, the divorce attorney.

I have been over working on a little girl's case (with a very sad outcome as of today) and taking a break from this one.

Wow, we've gotten to thread 8 with no new details, releases, updates, etc.

I still think RM left willingly or was "assisted" by someone very close to him - take that as you will.

I am also local. I also thought about the "parking lot" at the preserve. Parking lot? Isn't it just a dirt area right off Commack Rd? Not a "parking lot" per se at all. Unless there is another area I don't know about...

I often see cars parked there. People get out and walk into the area. What is there worth seeing? Looks like a good place to see if my mosquito spray works. That's about it. LOL

Okay...I have a question--- On another case I have been looking at, any time there has been a sighting they have reported it in the paper, and then when it turned out not to be him, they reported that. Has there not been a few sightings (2 by my memory) of RM? I know it was said they were followed up on..but why was it not reported?

A young lady said she thought she saw him on a train in Boston and a Woman in Virginia said she saw him in a restaurant. Were there any other?
