Prison officials requested major changes after a melee at #Dannemora on June 1! :facepalm:

The prison break occurred 5 days after a melee at CCF. It is also playing out on the backdrop of persistent budget cuts and short staffing. Real people were (and are) what make up those numbers that the bean counters crunch each day. The need to cut back overtime and not approve new hires is playing out at DOCs all over the US (and IMO, the convicts know it).

What kind of a mind set would anyone have to help a killer do 'anything'?

I have a neighbor that we all classify as STUPID........not her IQ.....she lives on another planet..........wonder if JM is like that?

exp. Our gated community says no pit bulls.................her daughter has one that has no license, no shots, never saw a vet................yet she
asks at every meeting why can't her daughter bring over her dog..................then when people laugh or ignor her, she just doesn't get it...............
 
This is getting to be ridiculous....EIGHT DAYS? Maybe the two are in Mexico, or have become carrion for the bears, or drinking beer and watching TV somewhere. JMO

I'm starting to believe Matt & Sweat are already in Mexico sitting in a Carlos & Charlies & laughing over tequila shots.

That thought has crossed my mind as well. I would bet they all on edge worrying about the same thing! Hopefully PD is keeping an eye out on their residences. I read in a linked article above there is a police car parked in front of Sweat's mother's house...hopefully they're doing the same for all those that are closely linked to these two...
 
I read or heard yesterday they had executed search warrants on their home. If they have computers I wonder what information they would find on them.

Me too, with that I wonder if someone took items that belonged to the two convicts that would have their scent and place those items in the sounding areas to make LE believe they are close by mean while they are doing as you say. jmo idk

I certainly don't feel any pity for her. Look at the trouble and expense she has help create all because she was smitten by a criminal WHOM she was suppose to treat like any criminal---not fall into bed with them at first compliment. She isn't very bright I will say that IMO. Did she not think she would get caught?
This is what boggles my mind. I guess they don't think beyond the moment or else they just don't care.

I as well do not feel sorry for her. I am just amazed that some people think they can get away with something like this. I do feel for her son, I just wish people would wait for a situation to evolve before saying things that make it apparent they are clueless to what the person is capable of.

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police have arrested Joyce Mitchell, 51, of Dickinson Center, NY for providing material assistance to Richard Matt and David Sweat to assist them in escaping from Clinton Correctional Facility.

Mitchell was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 1st Degree, a class D Felony, and Criminal Facilitation 4th Degree, a class A misdemeanor.

The press conference will take place Friday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Saranac Junior/Senior High School in the cafeteria. The High School is located at 70 Picketts Corners Road, Saranac, New York. Media should park on the right side of the high school, adjacent to the football field.
