If they are just standard tools, why wouldn't have just gotten them from the prison tool box or is there no such thing? Let them use them and get them back?

JMO probably easier to bring them in on his person and just not go thru metal detectors than go into an area he wasn't usually in, remove tools from someplace they were expected to remain, carry them thru the prison to their cells unnoticed, then return them to that location without anyone questioning anything.

JMO. If it was as simple as "he's just fixing the fuse" then I'd think he WOULD get prison issue tools for the guys to use, though... it does make it seem like there was more to it doesn't it....

I'm listening to TWCNews (alternated with CNN) and a minute ago I heard something about "can cook their own food, and the walls are adorned with art by a local artist" and I thought it was about this case but I looked up and it was about some new fancy hotel.

I should not be able to confuse those.

To be fair though I guess I should've realized immediately that Matt's/Sweat's paintings wouldn't be on the walls in there. Silly me, thinking the prisoners got odd perks.

CO's 2 bed/1bath small home built around 2004

I hope they rip through his financial transactions. Although wife has cancer or has been very ill, he would have fairly solid insurance nearly 28 years on the job. And though illness of that kind can put a dent on finances even with coverage, I'd like to know where all his money has been placed.

He has an extremely red complexion. Either a very white, white skin tone that is sunburned OR does he visit the Casinos often? Gambles, lost or owes money, etc? Just speculating

All this debate on tv about microchipping prisoners is silly IMO. If one breaks out they're gonna remove the microchip instantly unless it's right up against the jugular or something which wouldn't really be implantable in that case anyway. This wont work as much as people would like it to JMO. I mean, even just going thru metal detectors would probably become an issue if they had chips in them. Why not just lock virtual reality glasses on them that confuse the heck out of them and make them think they're in a jungle full of poisonous snakes and spiders, surrounded by pools of lava to throw them off? That seems just as likely to be effective and just as well thought out to me. JMO

Still curious about the paintings and artist. Were the paintings FRAMED? If so, the sketches could have been between the painting and the backboard....to be retrieved after the escape. Palmer may not have known, or did know and removed the sketches, stuck them in the dumpster, and destroyed the paintings. If he did not know, maybe they were headed to his house to get them. JMO

about cabins, shacks, camps...

I'm sure they're using tax info to identify known structures and to investigate them in an area they are searching, however many are built without permits or without the knowledge of the tax man and are under the radar as they say.

I believe in the Adirondack park a special permit would be needed to build.

Any one ever tell you...You're a hoot!

Just seems like he was in this a lot deeper than "doing favors for snitches". JMO

"'My client has been fully cooperative. He has been providing all information that has been asked for and I've been told by the state police investigator that that cooperation saved him from an aiding and abetting charge which is the charge that Joyce Mitchell is facing.'"

So does that mean Tillie WASN"T so forthcoming with info?

also from above link:

"But as she only had access to the tailor shop where she supervised both Matt and Sweat, she allegedly persuaded Palmer to take it into the main prison."

So then there HAD to be more besides her and Palmer IMO.

And whoever said they think he burned the paintings because they were actually a second coat of paint hiding blueprints or something - I think that's the best idea I"ve heard re: paintings/contraband/burning/burying so far.

BBM - He gave them way more info than we know about. The next arrest(s) will be because of what he told them. MOO

Looks like Tillie was a very good friend of Palmer's. And IMO loyal to him. I believe she protected him during questioning, "confessing." Did not snitch on him nor on any other employees of CCF

Any one ever tell you...You're a hoot!

They do. I think it's about 50/50 because I'm humorous intentionally/I say stupid stuff that's laughable and don't notice.

I never know for sure which it is. (I often feel like Sheldon on the Big Bang Theory. My husband sometimes compares me to him as well but doesn't seem to find it funny. LOL)

"He also agreed at his court appearance to turn over all the weapons stored at his home to a relative.

Brockway argued that his client should be released on his own recognizance as he cares for his sick wife, but the judge sided with the district attorney."

ABC News meanwhile reports that Palmer purchased art supplies for Matt at a craft store, and the prisoner gave him paintings in exchange for these supplies.

Palmer is said to have burned the works shortly after the men escaped from the prison.

'I purchased and then provided paint and paint brushes for Richard Matt on two separate occasions,' Palmer allegedly told investigators in a statement.

He also admitted to delivering a bag with a pound of hamburger meat, tubes of paint and something wrapped in green cloth to Matt, at the behest of Mitchell, on may 29, just one week before the escape.

'I did not realize at the time, that the assistance provided to Matt or Sweat made their escape easier,' said Palmer.

'Matt provided me with elaborate paintings and information on the illegal acts that inmates were committing within the facility,' explained Palmer.

'In turn, I provided him with benefits such as paint, paintbrushes, movement of inmates, hamburger meat, altering of electrical boxes in the catwalk areas.'"

When I originally saw this photo of the steam pipe I assumed the wadded up green item was their prison clothing, but now I wonder if it was this "green cloth"?

Well anyone in the field getting a paycheck will have a big month. More than enough for a few tower guards. Then there's the paintings, what's the deal behind that? How far up does this go, did the prison not have the funds? Was there no maintenance man to fix the fuse?

Are magnets allowed? Just noticed the magnet on the smiley face sign.

AND I Found that comment on an early article posted on June 7 by someone that said something about the Subway shop that was SO suspect that I submitted a tip about it and LE called me the next day and spoke to me about it. That's pretty interesting right there IMO.

PS - I urged them to just at least check the IP address of the poster of the comment I found. I hope it led them to GP's house. That would be all kinds of interesting.

ETA - I know people will ask. This article here has comments way down at the bottom if you scroll far enough. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/escaped-new-york-prisoners-richard-matt-david-sweat-left-taunting-note/

Find the one by "SUBTEXT9" (which either means texting from the subway, or "read the subtext of this comment" IMO). Remember these guys broke out what, June 6? This was posted June 7. The news of the dogs finding Matt & Sweat's scents at the Subway/gas station didn't come out until over a week later, making this a powerful coincidence of a comment if it's completely fabricated out of someone's imagination and posted just for the hell of it by them. I don't think that's the case though. I think the person who posted it had a good reason for posting it, and was near or inside the Subway at the time. GP's house is near the Subway. Just thinking out loud.

Never Mind, here you go:
It definitely could be something, but in this person's defense the first thing I thought when they released the inmate photos and I even said it to my husband, "they look like they are wearing subway uniforms." At least at the subways here, employees wear Polo shirts in that exact shade of green.
