Hi everyone. I'm a resident of Riverside and live minutes from Cheryl's house and I live within walking distance from Kroger's/Clancy's. I know there are quite a few people here who are not from the area so I'd like to share some information about the area I'm from. The high school Cheryl dropped her daughter off is called Stebbins High School. I went to school here and graduated in 2010. I can tell you there is A LOT of security and cameras at this school. If something happened to Cheryl in the parking lot at the high school, we'd know about it. The police station is also about a minute down the road from Stebbins as well. It would be far too risky for anyone to do anything to anybody at the school. There is also an officer who visits the school daily. A little information about the police department itself: It is a rather small department. I've been there once before and the building itself is small. We have a great group of officers, but not as many as larger cities might have. The officers here are working hard on the case but of course they've hit a wall. There currently is no new information about Cheryl's disappearance and they're asking the public for assistance. As of right now, nobody has reported anything suspicious the day Cheryl's car was parked in the parking lot. Due to how early it was parked there, there would not have been too many people in the parking lot at that time. Dayton itself is a haven for drugs and crime. There are some bad people who live around here. Drugs and crime certainly run rampant through the streets and there is quite a bit of violence in the area as well. Just recently in a nearby area there was a man's body found wrapped in plastic in the middle of a field. I can tell you, a random disappearance here is just about unheard of though. We usually have murders where the perpetrator is apprehended the same day. Never anything like this.
As previously mentioned, the PD did do a bust at a local pain management center. My mother is currently a patient there and I used to be a patient. I can tell you this place is definitely sketchy and rather disgusting on the inside. It was only a matter of time before the police came knocking on their door. Although they are dealing with that matter, they're still trying their best to search for Cheryl or uncover any information. We also have multiple search teams in various areas searching for clues but have so far turned up empty. I hope my information has helped those of you who are no locals understand the area a bit better.
