Is it possible a woman, age 52, may also live in that house? An address search gave me another name connected to that address. Do we know if it's been reported a couple lives there?

The autopsy may have indicated that she was dead before the car was pulled into the man's treeline. So she couldn't have driven herself there if that is true (I don't know).

The car was not there that night (at 10:45, was it exactly?), and I believe the man said on NG that he was informed of the car on his property at about 11 in the morning.

His friend or someone notified him there was a car on his land the next morning. So, so far we have less than a 12 hour window for the car(s) to be pulled in there.


Oh, my. It does sound like she was drugged and then killed before 10-10:30ish. That's just mho, not reported anywhere.

I have a huge question! The mom said she called the cops after the call from her daughter broke off. Did the cops try to investigate then at all? Surely they would have gone to the Dr's house to see what the call was all about?

Well... there is the possible woman's voice at the job - the Dr's house presumably - and there was another set of tire tracks. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a woman who lives there.

That's freaky, too. The woman knows what happened when the phone cut out, at very least.

Is this a case of a man-woman team? OMG. This could be very, very bad for the possibility of being a serial thing, imho.

BBM regarding time LE got there on Wednesday I believe:
"The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the body of Deanna Darnell Ballman, 23, of 80 Coors Blvd., had been recovered around 12:30 p.m., according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office. The body was found in a vehicle matching the description of Ballman’s vehicle near Bevelheimer Road and Ohio 605 in Harlem Township in the southeastern corner of the county."

Frans post 14 mentions it. Sry couldn't find the link it was in. Regardless I still believe it would take 2 people since someone had to drive another car behind the her car to where it was left so that driver could leave.

Found the link after all.

I am not sure why that information would come from her brother, and not her mother, who actually was the one to talk to her. I've even seen a video tape of mother talking and she didn't say anything about hearing a woman's voice.

I am sure this Dr will be arrested. But I feel there is enough reason to arrest him right now. I believe they will have plenty of time to sure up the case after he is in jail. I just want him off the streets and unable to flee.
I am really curious as there may be an accomplice.Perhaps that is one of the things LE want to find out about before they arrest anyone.
Also I wonder if the add specified needing a pregnant woman or just housekeeping. I think an ad wanting a pregnant woman would be too suspicious for anyone to answer. It is very sad a woman 9 months pregnant was having to work cleaning houses to survive.

One of the important scenes on this link provided below by CuriousMe, and myself on an earlier post ... is the scene of the isolated location where the vehicle was found. Click on the scene to enlarge the view. This young pregnant mother would not have driven herself to an isolated area such as this, if she was ill, she would have pulled over to the side of the road ... common sense told us that even before LE did.

The interview with the grandmother Sigrid Ballman is very, very sad. Prayers for her and her loved ones ... it must have been difficult to do the interview ... and we thank her for letting us hear from the family.

Another important part of this article is to learn that so many LE agencies are involved in investigation of this horrible crime ... and we know they will do their very best to bring justice for this young 9-mos. pregnant mother and her loved ones.

The investigation is being conducted by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification (BCI), and the New Albany, Pataskala, and Columbus police departments.

This is really a mysterious case right now. It's upsetting to think of what Deanna was going through in her pregnancy, and then to have this happen to her. :anguish:

There are articles posted on this thread that stated police didn't believe the ad was for housecleaning.
Apparently the previous ad for the woman who says he wanted to draw organs on her stomach were for modeling.
Pregnant woman does have a bigger stomach to draw on.

I have only heard of this case via NG on HLN (whose info I often mistrust) so please bear with my questions.

It was stated on NG that Deanna had actually cleaned this doctor's house a few weeks prior so this was not her first visit to his home. True? If true, then she had already "checked him out" and felt comfortable that this was a situation as advertised.

Perhaps the craig's list ad seeking a housekeeper was a ruse looking for a model but the very gravid state of Deanna showed up and to put her at ease he actually had her clean on that initial visit only to rufie her on the second to attempt some "drawing" on her.

It was stated on NG that during the phone call with her mother from the client (doctor's) home that the mother heard a woman yelling and a possible scuffle before the call abruptly ended. True? If true I wonder if

a) Deanna interrupted something nefarious and had to be disappeared.

b) Someone (dr's significant other) thought she was interrupting the Dr during a kinky visit from a "model" (the type of visit she may not approve of) and things went very bad from there.

c) She was not cleaning but modelling and feeling safe after first appointment went okay, returned for this one only to meet bad end.

She has only been back in OH for couple of weeks, so I really doubt she went to clean Dr.'s house couple of weeks ago.

As I said, my source is NG so, it is what it is. That is why I wanted to ask here. Have there been any reports (credible) that this was not her first visit to this Dr.'s home to clean, be it weeks, a week or three days prior?

Or is this just another NG embellishment? TIA to any who can answer.

just read some really interesting comments beneath this article at HLN by FB members, one of whom claims the doc acted as an expert on a creepy show on history channel called devious devices, all about torture.

Not sure how that would related to Ms. Ballman's death though as no signs of trauma were found.

Apparently, there's two doctors on that street living 1/2 block from each other. I don't think the one mentioned in the NG comments lives at the right address, but I could be wrong. Further back in this thread was someone who said they personally knew who the doctor was.

The ad is the biggest mystery for me. I can't understand why she was there. Was she ever there before? Why didn't she give her mother the exact address? Why'd she have to clean houses so pregnant? Yeah, I know she was broke, but still. It just sounds strange to me that everyone would think it fine for her to go off alone so pregnant and not worry more about her safety. :sigh:
