Same. I have 3 teens right now and I can’t even imagine the heartbreak these parents are going through.

None of my kids have ever left for a night to “cool off” after an argument. That in itself is alarming to me!

Oh yes and coupled with the many SM accounts, including his phone number, I'm very concerned.

Thinking outloud on possible scenarios:
  1. HD left on his own, is ok. Possibly has help.
  2. HD randomly abducted by stranger.
  3. HD coerced into meeting someone he knew online. Abducted.
  4. HD hurt by someone he knows in real life.
I'm leaning toward 3 or 4. Any other options?

Questions:
  1. Did anyone else know HD phone was not with him? Makes him more vulnerable.
  2. Is there a way to trace HD's online gaming communications?
  3. Was last video footage location a part of HD's normal route?

I live here and the possibilities you’ve mentioned we’ve all been discussing. Many of us are very upset, concerned… and not sure what else to do….

Option #1) from my understanding he has two friends, one whose home he spent Thursday evening at until it was time to go home. The police have talked to the boys and the parents.

Option #2) Most of the children are walking to school 630-700 in the morning, and he had a few blocks to go. We’re located off a major highway (RT #2) that leads directly to Toledo/Detroit which on the national average is considered a high sex-trafficking area.

Option #3) Harley wanted to stay home that morning because he was sick, his Mom told him to go to school since it was the last day before Christmas vacation. He did not have his phone, either he or someone else broke it earlier that week. Therefore, contacting an on-line person seems slim.

Option #4) from what we understand Harley was having problems at home, the police were called there last month. One of his video tapes, from October 2018 provided a glimpse into his unhappiness.

1. Did anyone else know HD phone was not with him? Makes him more vulnerable.

Correct, nowadays they are more vulnerable without a phone. If anyone else knew other than his friends or parents, that hasn’t been stated.

2. Is there a way to trace HD's online gaming communications? The police are aware of Harley’s YouTube videos, social media and have been searching through all of it.

3. Was last video footage location a part of HD's normal route? From the video’s I watched of his old YouTube channel and the one set up a few months ago, it appears a lot are made in his home but I noticed many were made while walking around town. In some he actually turned the camera around to show where he was at and mentioned “Port Clinton.”

I'm hoping LE is aware of all of these?

Did he post a video THAT morning? If so, can you post a link?

His last video was posted December 20, 2019 "91 TOTW Top Performer Austin Ekeler Madden Mobile 20 Gameplay"

Of the above videos…..

#1 was posted Mar 23, 2018 and phone number is title of video

#2 was posted May 2, 2018

#3 was posted Apr 6, 2018

Adding Other Possible Scenarios:

5. HD left on his own, is not ok. Self-harm/suicide
6. HD left on his own, is not ok. Accident or misadventure (e.g., succumbed to elements, hit by car, etc.)

#5/6) I’m sure that is on the Police Officers minds as well, they’ve searched over 150 acres of woods around the area.

The Facebook group for Harley is run by a guy who says he is a private investigator.

Port Clinton Police Department
Chief’s Message, Sunday, December 29th, 2019

Good Evening Friends,

I have received calls and messages as to “Private Investigators” working with our agency for disappearance of Harley Dilly.

WE have asked NO Private Investigation Company to assist us with this search, they may have volunteered, however we have NOT requested their help!

IF you have someone that states they are assisting the Port Clinton Police Department with the investigation of Harley’s disappearance, they should have proper law enforcement credentials and/or contact the police department at (419) 734-3121 if you should have any questions…

LISTEN: Emotional plea from Harley Dilly’s grandfather. About 100 people gathered at a candlelight vigil tonight praying for the Port Clinton teen to come home safely.

So sad for his grandpa. I can’t help but notice him speaking in past tense about Harley though.

“My grandson had issues and he wasn’t a perfect boy but he was a good boy and he loved his mother and he loved his family.”
