I know people can be quirky but I've never heard of burning things unless it's photos and things related to an ex as some form of symbolism. Paper shredding not enough? I usually just tear old bills up. This could even be Carter playing up the "Wiccan" angle for his own benefit.

One year in uni we were thrilled to have a fireplace in our apartment; as soon as final exams were over, we would get drunk and burn all the notes we weren't keeping.

It isn't so much the burning itself, it is the fact that he did it that night, after 11:30PM at a time when she couldn't be there, although he claims she wished she could...

Hmmm. Not able to edit my "List of Facts & Statements" post anymore, don't know why.

But I wanted to edit with a newly discovered fact. I see that KM posted on a friend's FB page at 10:42 the Saturday morning she went missing. Assuming that was really her, that cuts the 36 hour window I had hypothesized down to about 24 hours.

Just FYI.

I'm thinking that I now know why the cyber crime unit is involved.

Katelyn had posted a msg as JC on his facebook page - so she had his log in details, stands to reason there is a good chance that JC had Katelyn's log in details for her facebook etc. -- seems to me there might be some reason for the police to believe that comments on facebook might not have been posted by Katelyn herself but someone posing as her.

Hmm- So does that mean that Fairfield LE has a specific area in mind for them to search??

I hope so, that is how they generally like to work, from what I understand. LE is supposed to have general areas for them to search, either on land or water. If she was abducted by/ left with someone known to her, I feel like she shouldn't be that far away.

But of course, that depends upon the time she actually went missing, based on JC's information. Still have never heard who else saw her or spoke to her on Saturday. If she went "missing" a lot sooner than after midnight, then the person would have a lot more time to remove her to a location farther away.

There is someone saying they are KM's cousin on a new FB page Katelyn Markhams Disappearance Considering Everything, someone also sent the moderator of the site a private message and she says they were at the festival and fighting over JC spending $100 on raffle tickets, cousin says he's passed 3 lie detector test....I feel like if he's taken more then 1 he isn't passing them.....I hope I'm wrong.

Is there anyone on here that is in law enforcement. It would be great if they could comment on the lie detector test. If someone takes more than one from the same agency wouldn't that mean they are not passing? Maybe he is taking them from private sources? What is the normal procedure. If you pass one what would be the point to take another? Unless they are asking different questions. The first one he said they asked him if he did anything to KM and if he knew where she was?

Police say they are no closer to solving this case than they were on day one!
LE says it is very baffling.

DM and JC are interviewed. DM says he just wants his daughter to come home. DM says he wishes there was some kind of clue to what happened to his daughter. Says they are starting with nothing. Another search is scheduled for today.

Father says he prays for a happy ending. Praying she'll walk in and say I'm sorry you didn't get the message. I was just taking a break. (Answered Ann C's question could KM have just taken off? Needed to get away?)

Father had a hard time holding it together. Teary eyed.

JC didn't say anything new.

Did any of you hear this, on the Nancy Grace show?

"He knew he'd never see her again."

A few people on the FB page, are saying they heard him say this.

Her dad broke my heart, I just kept thinking CLASS ACT. I never had any of the hair on the back of my neck standing up like I do when JC is interviewed, dad didn't try to make it about him like JC does, dad was sincere and he just wants his girl home.

I just read through the new KM FB page -- specifically the thread where KM's alleged cousin AM is answering questions.

The cousin says that KM's mom lives in the same town, yet she does not believe she has been involved with the searching. Does that seem odd to anyone else? Even if they have an awful relationship, a mother is still a mother. Even if she didn't desire to be in the media, I would certainly think she's been involved in the searching.

Unless, of course, she knows more than we do. Still, I find her role extremely puzzling and frustrating.

I just caught this from JC's interview on NG: Below he's talking about the 'pictures', as to why she didn't show them to him, before he left. BBM

-------------------------------------------------------------------

CARTER: I mean, I don`t know. They were up in her room. You know, she just -- she likes to send me pictures all the time. She always has.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Didn't he say he 'saw' her on her bed, when he left? That means he was in her bedroom, where he said the pictures were.

And this whole series of statements, just sound so confusing:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

And the series of text messages that she sent to me -- I had sent her after I had gotten rid of them. I just said, I got rid of them. They`re all gone. And she wanted me to burn them. So it`s, like, I burnt the message -- or I burnt your documents.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Nerves perhaps, but it's all miscombobbled to me.

I just think the evidence that the detectives DO have all point to one very strong suspect....JC. The fact that he has taken more than one polygraph is quite telling. They know through his rambling interviews that he is a loose cannon and their goal is to keep the guy talking so that everything he states can be used against him in the distant future. Who is asked to take more than 2 polygraph tests much less 3! Each time they ask him to come in for another poly they probably keep increasing the pressure while they are grilling him in hopes that they will finally break him. I think they're getting close.

I hope they obtained John's phone with a search warrant early on. I think they would be able to tell if he had purchased a new phone after she disappeared but I'm not really sure about that. I'm concerned both of the phones they were using were tossed into the Ohio river and he is using a different one.

Because I have a mom who would probably not search for me I don't find it that strange, I have a mom who lives a mile from me and I have not seen in 5 years, not everyone is meant to be a mom and remember KM was adopted. I hear they have been estranged since the divorce started and that it was ugly.
