JC's own credibility seems pretty questionable at this point, but the person who heard him say it is an extremely credible woman who has been working tirelessly to help with the searches. JC apparently talked about it during the most recent search, in front of her and 5 witnesses. Another woman on FB added that she was one of the 5 witnesses and heard it too.

When people were expressing doubt because it hadn't been brought up in these 3 weeks, an FB poster I've never seen in that group before said, Just because you guys didn't hear it sooner doesn't mean it isn't true. He said he heard JC mention a friend being over that night during the very first organized search (dunno the date of that but it was a good while back).

A couple of JC's friends/family members then said no one mentioned it before because it "didn't seem important." Well, I find that hard to believe, since we've all been struggling to get an accurate timeline and begging to know who saw Katelyn last besides JC, and no one has ever provided an answer! If it was no big deal and such a simple answer, AND supposedly gives him more of an alibi by showing he wasn't alone with Katelyn, why did NO one mention it? I find that pretty strange.

Was this friend the same friend he went burning with? If true, I do find it strange that he didn't mention it unless there is a reason why he wouldn't. Remember that stalker guy....some of her friends believe someone was stalking Katelyn but when NG asked JC, he made it sound like it was no big deal. Almost wanting to brush it off which I thought was bizarre.

So many rumours in this case and it's becoming difficult to separate fact from what is said on FB which I always take with a grain of salt.

Also, he mentioned that there were some questionable people at the fair. Were any of them harrassing him or Katelyn or was it just a general observation on his part? I'd like to know what he meant by questionable.

I still believe Katelyn opened the door that night, probably half asleep thinking it was JC, or went out for a smoke.
I opened the door at 1am myself 15 years ago, thinking it was my husband...instead it was a man out on bond, he had arrested for agg. assault, and the fight was on at the front door! It was a hard lesson, but when a mama is protecting her babies....I was very lucky that night!
I still do not feel JC has done anything wrong, I hope I am right on this one!

Sorry you had to experience that and I'm really glad it turned out the way it did! :hug:

So tired of cases ending up like this! Sounds crazy and people will fight it to the highest courts but i wish we could all have some tracking device so that no one ever has to be missing...... Even if its voluntary. I have nothing to hide! I'd do it in an instant with my son. Sigh... 100,000 missing in the US right NOW.
I'm starting to believe in aliens!!!

Subsequent info we've gained indicated she didn't smoke.

And she couldn't have been nabbed while taking her dog outside for a final time, because the dog was found closed into her upstairs bedroom.

No perp is going to attack and subdue her (with no noise or struggle that neighbors notice), take the time to disable her phone, leave her by herself in a car or wherever while they take yet more time to escort her dog - who's probably barking - into the house and up the stairs, closing it into a bedroom, before leaving.

If she's outside and he's got something like a stun gun to subdue her instantly, it's not necessary for the perp to enter her house at all, plus it'd be unwise because he might leave fingerprints, hair, fiber. So if her dog was with her, I imagine he would have harmed it or just drove away and left it outside.

So, if abducted outdoors, it has to have been for another reason than taking a smoke or taking the dog for a walk.

You can put a tracking device on your son today if you want to.

They use them with people with alzheimers who wander, or others who are incapacitated and wander, and criminals on house arrest. It's an ankle bracelet, and it tracks movements and goes off if it's removed.

Going back to the song by this Luke, I think we may very well have found KM's mystery man if ever there was one.

As people have mentioned earlier, he LIKED a lot of her work and dedicated the video to her. Since it was posted on something like August 18th (only a few days after her disappearance), maybe he worked on it with her to help her deal with some of the things she was going through with JC.

But I think there's more to it.

Some of those lyrics ("I knew as soon as I was happy that you'd be gone" particularly sticks out for me, as well as the ones about calling it all off and growing up) really make it sound to me like the problems between KM and JC had been going on for awhile, and this Luke guy was one of KM's friends from college that JC didn't know.

Luke might have been a confidant for KM, but thinking about it more, why does a guy usually dedicate a video like this to a girl?

Also, one of the commenters calls him "too freakin' sweet", which makes me think Luke and KM might have been turning into something more than just friends.

I think he knows the real deal, and I hope LE is talking to him.

I have the same mixed feelings after watching this that I did the first time.

One thing, does he seem a little too calm?

And the confusion again about the time line

First he said he freaked out because her car was there, and she should be at work, the when asked what time he went by he said 7-7:30 when she should be getting home.

The whole time I listen I just feel mixed feelings. He seems like a nice caring guy but very calm.
I think if someone I loved was just "gone" I would be so shaky I wouldn't be able to talk.
But no one ever knows for sure I guess how they would behave

To me, everything he discusses in this video clip sounds like he has rehearsed it over and over again.

He has no emotion. He never tears up...doesn't seem sad at all even when the possibility is brought up that someone might have taken her. To me if this is someone you love dearly you are practically unable to speak without choking up or if you are able to speak you are pleading with the perpetrator to please release your loved one. How can he go into so much detail almost as if he was just a bystander or a witness to some kind of car accident and a reporter stopped by to ask if he saw anything and to recall for the audience what happened. He is absolutely detached from an incident that should be striking fear in his heart, make him weak in the knees... it should be coming across as a total nightmare for him!

I am not Wiccan but I know someone who is. She is a very gentle, loving person and would never participate in any evil sort of ritual. I also know from being on WS for awhile that there are practicing Wiccans on here, who also would never participate in any sort of ritual like some of the ones mentioned.

Does anyone know if the local police have warned the citizens of Fairfield to be careful of a crazy lunatic kidnapping young women in the middle of the night?
Sometimes the police will hint at things to let the public know if everyone is in danger or they think the crime is not random.
If the Police thought this was some random crime, wouldn't they have some sort of warning in the community? Maybe they have.

Curved area I spoke above about (possible ring reflection) now appears to me to be the shape of LG phones - possibly.
So here is my LG without the skin case:

Is this shape what you are seeing? If so, I am 99.978% sure he had an LG phone in the video. So if this is what you are seeing, do we want to try to determine what phone he has and see if it matches as possible??

----------> As an aside, when I posted the original pic, at the heart of this discussion, I was clear that I was speculating on this being the POSSIBLE - not known, pic of a pic. I also think DimeDetective has been clear on this too. We don't know, but if it is the pic text as it 'came into JC inbox' flash spot and all - it is interesting to sniff this trail - at least to me and a few others!

Are you guys even POSITIVE that is the image that JC received?? I seem to recall he said something about the image he received was one taken of a photo that someone had taken of KM, that she 'played' with/changed/added to in some way.
Gonna see if I can find what I am thinking about........

PIC BEING USED HAS NOT and I nor Dime ever claimed or represented it as being the pic of a pic ---- matter of fact, I thought we have been very cautious to point out that this is all based on the SPECULATION of it being the pic. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
