When I posted here previously about a potential serial killer who lived in Lodi, Ohio, a poster suggested I post my information and thoughts in his thread. I respectfully disagree with that suggestion at this time for two reasons. First, this thread is about an UNIDENTIFIED obviously missing person. In order to determine who she is since we have so little information right now about where she even came from, I think it is important to try to figure out how she got to where she did. Working from the angle of a potential abductor in that time period and working backward may lead to who she was. By working backward from the timeline of a possible serial killer in the area, someone may have seen this young lady with this guy. Someone may recall something. IMO it makes sense. Second, aren't we the ones who always complain that different LE jurisdictions don't communicate with each other and share information across lines? So, are we going to do the same thing, not cross lines (threads) in the interest of tidiness and order? At the expense of figuring out what happened to this poor girl and who she is? What sense does that make? We'd be doing the same thing that LE does. Tunnel vision. It's killed not only more than one case, but also more than one person.
So, with all due respect, to the poster who I have great respect for but also to the rest of you here, I am posting my thoughts here.
I'm attaching a map that I put together. In red, I have posted the base of operation of C. Below, who lived in Lodi, Ohio at the time, the suspected serial killer who was a truck driver. He is currently in prison for the death of one Fetzer who has never been found. When he left his apartment, LE found the poster of a missing person. His half-sister later came forward and said that he had a special box in which, among other special things, he kept about 4 or 5 other posters of missing females. The remains recently found in Huntington Township are marked in blue just west of his base of operations. The second blue mark to the west and south marks the place of the remains of Amy Mihaljevic, just 13 minutes from where the Lorain County remains were recently found, although that is Ashland County. North of there marked in yellow near Lake Erie is Bay Village from where Amy went missing in October, 1989. Her remains were found in February, 1990. C. Below worked as a truck driver in this area at the time, moving in 1990 from the KY border to Lodi, Ohio in order to be closer to his truck route. Which implies he was already driving in this area. The red mark just to the right of the center of Lodi is the TA truck stop that's been there for eons. It is at the center of SR 224, I76, and I71. Showers and all the services. To the east of there, you will see a yellow marking for Alliance, Ohio from which a girl named Kathryn Menendez went missing 8-25-1994. Her body was found within days at one of the blue marks north of Alliance. I'm not quite sure where in the Berlin Reservoir area she was found, so I marked two blue marks along those two major roads. However there was another girl whose body was also found there. East of there, you will see another yellow Mark just over the PA. border which marks Rochester, PA from which Sarah Boehm disappeared on July 14, 1994. Her body was not found in the Berlin Reservoir until November of 1994, a good three months after Menendez's body was found there a half mile away in the same reservoir area. She was not identified until six years after she was found.
If you follow the east - west route, it's not a far stretch, knowing Below was a truck driver, that he may have been involved the two blue spots to the west and/or the two found to the east of Lodi, Ohio. It is a straight east /west trajectory on 224. Also note that Avon Lake is a straight shot out of Lodi up Route 83 and is a 50 minute drive.
You will also see a light green marking and some purple markings on the map. These are in reference to another serial killer active in the area. There is a Wikipedia link for him below, but there is so much more about him out there on the web. Robert Buell. His activity was in the early 80s. However when you read further about him, including court documents, you will find that he had a much younger accomplice. Buell's base of operations was Akron, Ohio marked in purple. The other purple marks are the possible residence areas of his accomplice after that accomplice left the Akron area. Haven't reviewed that information lately so I don't have a date. However he was much younger than Buell and, if he continued what he was taught by Buell, could have been active in the 90s and who knows, maybe even in the last couple of decades. On the map, you will also see a light green Mark north of the purple marks and east of all the red and blue marks. That light green Mark is where a young lady named Phyllis Brewer disappeared from in 1981. I included her because of the proximity and trajectories on the map. She could have been a Buell/andor/accomplice victim, OR she could be FLEK. I don't really know where to go with that and that is definitely OT!
That's my two cents. And here are the map and link.
