Thoughts and Prayers for the family. I am so grateful he was able to be present in the court room and hear the words from Jakes mouth, “I am guilty your honor”.

Rest In Peace Mr. Leonard Manley
O know, LM pass away, when did this happen, I have the very highest respect for Mr Leonard Manley, he stood without fear of retaliation from the Wagners and told LE exactly who he thought murder his family, JMO the murders of the Rhodens/Gilley family would have not been solved without Mr Leonard Manley, again My Respect To Leonard Manley and his family, Rest In Peace LM.

It is worth re-visiting Leonard Manley's quotes made just after the murders were discovered.

Interview Question on video asked of LM by a Daily Mail reporter:

"Do you believe that the marijuana had something to do with the murders?"

Leonard Manley's immediate answer to that question - Quote:

"I don't know I think it was just road rage attack and maybe a child custody thing."

Thank you so much for following this case so closely from all aspects and keeping us all so well apprised of developments.

May you rest in peace Mr. Manley. I know you're up in heaven, reunited with your daughter and grandchildren. I'm so glad you were able to hear JW admit what he did before you left this Earth. Crying tears of sorrow for the needless pain and suffering he caused you.

JMO

Does anyone know what Leonard passed from?

Manley died Sunday morning, according to the Pike County Coroner's Office. He was 70.

Officials said Manley died at home and was found in his living room.

Officials at the coroner's office said there would be no autopsy and that it was determined he died from natural causes.

I'm glad they did a nice longer write up. But whoever wrote this is way too vanilla on wagners. The phrasing of jakes plea and "prosecutors accuse" is terrible subliminal. Jake plead guilty because he's a selfish narcissistic coward who is scared to die. Even though he and his mother decided 8 people needed to die, some of them just for being there. Prosecutors accuse denotes a possible doubt in the statement. Prosecutors revealed Prosecutors charge accuse is too soft. Angela followed suit..... what will it take to get a pulse over there at the courthouse and paper.

Prosecutors have accused four members of the Wagner family of orchestrating the night raid and execution of the Rhodens over what they say was a custody dispute.

The youngest Wagner, Jake, shared a daughter with Hanna Rhoden.

Jake Wagner pleaded guilty in April in the massacre in order to spare his family from the death penalty. His mother, Angela Wagner, followed suit.

The cases against the Wagner patriarch, George "Billy" Wagner III, and his oldest son George Wagner IV are still ongoing. George Wagner IV is due back in court Dec. 22.

Leonard Manley was crushed by the murders and dwelled on it heavily during the two and half years it took to make an arrest in the case. He remained convinced through it all that it was someone close to the family that did it.

He was especially hurt by the accusations his daughter might have been involved in some illegal activity.

“My daughter is a loving person, a loving mother,’’ he previously told The Enquirer, using the present tense. “You go anywhere, you ask anyone about my daughter … they will tell you the same.

“You go down and ask about Dana; they will all tell you: I spoiled my girl,’’ he said. “They would tell you her dad would do anything for her.’’

He hasn't spoken publicly about the case as much since the arrests, but he frequently attended the hearings for the Wagners.

Information regarding funeral arrangements

Oh lord. I recall his words on interview shortly after the murders... "a child custody thing". I thought WTH...brutal murders of eight people over child custody? Leonard Manley was right.

So very sad how the Rhodens and extended family have suffered at the hands of those hateful Wagners.

Leonard Manley, outspoken patriarch of 5 murdered in Rhoden family killings, dies

By Chris Graves

Manley, a mechanic who broke his neck as a young man while working for a logging company and managed to find help on his own, died at home from natural causes, according to the Pike County Coroner’s Office in Waverly. There will not be an autopsy.

"He got liver cancer and two months ago he gave his heart to the Lord and he said he was the happiest he had ever been in his life," said Fulton, who is also fighting cancer. “Bless his heart. I loved that man, I really did.”

Through it all, Manley and his wife, Judy, sought solace at Union Hill Church and continued to attend services there when they were able, Fulton said.

"With all he went through, I tried to understand all that. What that poor man went though," Fulton said. "Nothing, just nothing was as important as his family."

Services are pending at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles, according to the Rev. Phil Fulton, pastor at Union Hill Church.

Manley is survived by his wife, Judy; his son, James “George,” and daughter-in-law, April; daughters Bobby Jo, and Kathy Clay and son-in-law Henry Clay; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
