Image of shell casing from Rhoden Scene 2 and shell casing from Wagner's Peterson Rd. property. Firearms expert Matt White from BCI says they came from the same firearm. 12 casings from Peterson Rd. and 6 casings from Scene 2 and 3.

On cross, Parker only asks "You can't tell who fired that weapon?" White answers no - and we're done with him and for the day as another witness had to leave.

All those shells show for one thing that GW would have massive experience with using a silencer on the rifle. Why would he have the rifle and the plan be for him to fire first at CR in the first place if that was so? I don't believe that crap for a minute. I do believe that the silencer did throw off the rifle fire- by either aim, or accuracy, or both. Or a shot or two would likely be all that was needed. Not spraying the front door area.

Mentioned earlier but I see JW and GW doing all the dragging at CR's... not brokeback Billy.

I don't think the SKS was capable of fitting silencer. The two pistols would have been, iirc.

It would be great to have one of them on the stand tomorrow. Friday let the prosecution take up all the time with the defense not getting to cross and then the jury has the entire weekend and possibly Monday off also (haven't heard about court on Monday or not yet?) and that would be a lot to take in and ponder before coming back next week. Could be a good timing thing. I also think only one of them would be brought on a specific day. No way they would bring both. I'd imagine they will be the only ones to testify the days they come as well. Just thinking security and logistics wise makes sense.

I like the idea of the jury having their testimony to think about over a 3 day weekend.

In my experience, most people selling trying to sell a property usually make an effort to clear it up and clean it. The Wagner family are obviously cut from a different cloth. I've heard of leaving the curtains, the fridge, but
who leaves live ammunition for the new owner? Moo

JMO...During that year after, everyone was was blaming everyone, voicing opinions, rumors etc. BCI was following up on all leads...imagine how tedious that was...ruling out everybody and everything...I wonder if JM caught wind that the W's were leaving for Alaska and taking SW. I am sure the Manleys believed the W's were responsible for these acts and the proof was not there yet. Thank goodness the agents made that trip to visit the W's again. All of this long drawn out testimony is getting us to "laser focused" suspects.
AND to the truck/phone conversations between Jake & GW. Didn’t BCI put the listening devices in when the crossed into…was it Montana? I believe THAT is when prosecution’s focus hits on GW.

Interesting info on suppressors and how they work.

Just looking at other info and purely informational, I am not claiming this is what happened or what will be presented, but in looking up filter suppressors, I found some interesting info I wanted to share.

Copy/paste from that site above responding to a question about filter suppressor impacting accuracy.

Really phenomenally good suppressors won’t affect your rifle’s accuracy. Oil filter suppressors are not good suppressors. In fact, they’re bad suppressors which are only temporarily effective with small caliber weapons which don’t produce a particularly large volume of muzzle blast in the first place. You really shouldn’t use one on a .308 rifle intended to shoot out to 600 meters for several reasons:

  1. You’re hanging a big heavy weight on the very end of your barrel. This alone changes the harmonics of the barrel and will probably shift your bullets’ point of impact dramatically downwards. The same phenomena occurs when people mount bayonets directly to rifle barrels.
  2. The way that oil filter suppressors get a hole for bullets to exit from is by shooting a bullet through the end of the filter with the first shot. This means that the first bullet fired through the oil filter contacts the metal of the oil filter, which consequentially causes the bullet to deviate from its expected trajectory. This doesn’t matter much at short range, say inside of 50 meters, but at 600 meters every single deviation in trajectory angle causes a huge shifts for your point of impact.
  3. The filter is going to degrade rapidly due to the volume of muzzle blast generated by a .308 rifle. By rapidly I mean you’ll be lucky if the filter lasts 10 shots. Pieces of the filter will start flying out with your bullets and eventually the filter will be blown apart entirely. This is going to cause every shot to be different from the last, causing wild variations in bullet trajectory. Don’t plan on hitting anything you want to hit from 600 meters away.
  4. There’s a decent possibility that the muzzle blast from the first shot might just cause the filter to explode into a cloud of fragmentation. Uncontained explosions an arm’s length away from your face are often bad for your health.

So that shot from outside with the SKS possibly with a suppressor on...

We still have their voice recordings (after return from Alaska) and is JW’s 2nd wife on the witness list? If so, probably her testimony; then there’s the threats GW made. I think we might hear all the wire tap convos before we get to JW & AW. Just a guess.

I thought this occurred on the way back to Ohio from Alaska. They were all detained and questioned separately at the Montana border crossing. They put the bug in the vehicle and then when they all returned tot he car after being questioned not one mention of what just happened.

THAT would be odd by itself. If I were innocent and stopped and questioned at the border and then returned to the car the first thing out of my mouth would be WHAT THE HECK? I believe Angela and Jake told BCI that they didn't talk in the cars because they feared they were bugged. Always outside not on the phone, not in the vehicles.

I had to go to a funeral earlier today for a good friend - so I will grab all the tweets in the morning - just too tired right now to do them - I hope you all don't mind...

Very sorry for the loss of your friend.
You have been so helpful and I think everyone appreciates your time and work, we’re just grateful for you. I hope you can get some rest.

Ha! My mouth would be going a mile a minute, if that happened to me. Hands too, because I talk with them when I’m excited.

I thought they tapped the truck too? I just know there was evidence via audio, phone and wiretap recordings. Not sure what is actually making it into trial but I do think we will hear those first before JW/AW especially any recordings with George’s voice. And JW wife #2 if she’s on the list as she will be able to provide collaborative testimony on Angela’s control, family votes, any violence, etc. I think we still have about a week before JW or AW make an appearance. I believe the work truck/tractor trailer the boys used for work once they moved back to Ohio from Alaska was bugged! I recall the owner of the truck gave permission?? Maybe I am not remembering right. I just recall something about the truck having a sleeper bed in it and expectation of privacy since it could be a "residence" since it had a bed. I think this was after they were back living and working in Ohio going on like normal.. These people!!
