It was said in court, posters were discussing it yesterday but I can't find the discussions or links.

Anyone remember how it came up in court?

Jake saying he shot Hanna and moved her so K could breast feed? Also mentioned she looked at Jake but he was masked so he didn't know if she would have recognized him.
It was said in opening statements by AC that was according to Jake's proffer.

I am seeing some tweets now and this is also mentioned in there from today.

What a considerate guy. So he is the one who shot her and moved her.
But this was not said in court yet if I understand you correctly right?
That's a good question @skyedaze especially because this case has been going on for years! I think so much previously stated in pretrial motions, etc., has been committed to memory but the only evidence that matters is what the jurors have heard and seen since the date they were seated.

Jake says he saw Hanna May lean up on her shoulder to breast feed. Jake said he went into Hanna May's bedroom, she saw him and he shot her in the head. Then, went back to Dana's room, shot her again and then back to Hanna to shoot her again.
Jake said Hanna had slightly fallen off the bed so he rearranged her body for Kylie. "It may not make sense but I did that because if the discovery of the bodies took a long time, I was concerned Kylie would starve to death."

My comment-like a dead body is going to produce milk!

Do you have a link or reporter name who tweeted this? That Jake shot Hanna and moved her so K could nurse?

Originally it was in AC opening statement. I believe it was said again today. I was just looking, tweets are still sparse but I do believe I did see it today.

I believe it was mentioned again at some point maybe the medical examiner was asked about it? I am not sure who else would have been asked about this.

This is going down right now as the worst of the worst testimony from the mouth of a defendant ever heard in court! o_O

The luckiest move of Jake's life was to get his LWOP deal because he'd be going down the road for DP -- no doubt. MOO

I wonder why he thinks letting a baby nurse off her dead mother is a 'good/nice/kind/considerate' thing to do. You just shot the mom in the face and head.

He could leave that out without affecting the story at all.

Maybe, but the coroner could have noted the body was moved. If so, this would be an important detail no one else knew - which would collaborate his story with evidence.

I wonder, would a deceased mother still produce milk? Just wondering.
I doubt she would produce more, but maybe at least in the short term whatever milk was already there could have been drank. I don't know though.. I nursed all 4 of my children and sometimes even fully awake and trying, getting them latched took some work. I don't know that a 4 day old could have gotten herself latched unless she was just in the perfect position. My experience was the more upset the baby got the harder it was to get them calmed down to latch. I hope the baby was comforted at least for a while by being close to her mom during that time even if she wasn't able to nurse. It's horrific to even consider any of it. :(

Yes there was some chatter about Jake's version that she looked at him.. remember this? Then on cross they were asking the coroner about her body position then AC re direct with follow up. I think there is something there to this.. like she was moved and only Jake would know that.
