You're right, although that's not the norm where I'm from.
I just said if 3 guns were used in this scenario, I would bet that 3 different people used them. Why leave more evidence than necessary? Why point to the exact number of people invading those homes? That's just my opinion. I've always thought all three of them were in it but hey, I could be wrong.

Have you ever watched Jake's favorite show (per CN and BA) The Walking Dead? The characters on that show, especially Daryll (played by Norman Reedus, Jake's idol) walk around with 2 or even 3 fully loaded pistols stuck in the waistband of their pants and 1 or 2 rifles slung over their shoulders. Jake's dream scenario.

If you follow some of the testimony then you follow all of it is my thought. That of all witnesses.

Hubby has a vest, don't know where he bought it, that has a holster inside for one pistol on each side, 8 pockets for clips, a knife slot, and I don't know what else. All he has to do is sling a rifle over his shoulder with a strap and he has 3 guns, all the ammo he needs.

And he is a law enforcement officer. Who knows what a psychopath like Jake owned.

Jake doesn’t need to lie about George to get out of the death penalty. His own truthful confession is enough to earn himself a LWOP sentence.

I tend to believe him when he says he lied to protect his father and George. Apparently the state didn’t believe him either at first, when he said he killed all 8 victims himself. Evidence showed that wasn’t true.
Wow, that says a great deal that he was willing to take responsibility for it all to keep his brother and Dad out of prison?? I didn't know that.

Jmo the deal the state made with Jake was to repeat the last story he told. It was not tell the truth, they don’t know for certain what the truth is. They want him to repeat a story. Just because he is repeating a story does not make it the truth. Jmo

I don't know how you formed that opinion? He is clearly a man of high integrity/morals, character, & honesty.

Since it has finally come out in this trial and is in Jake's proffer, and if true, anyone care to guess the reason why GW was protecting Jake from BW? What was going to happen to Jake?
I have a guess. Jake lied about that.

I thought all 4 were charged with the exact same charges when they were arrested. At that time, they didn’t know who was present for the murders so they all got charged. MOO

The only one that should have changed would be AW’s AFTER her plea deal. I can’t remember how Jake’s changed with his plea. I know they dropped some things (but I think it had to do with restitution?)
And I think Hanna May being under age charge too? That was dropped.

and how fortunate is the justice system that it actually makes the prosecution prove its case, they can't just point at GW and say he is guilty because he is charged, innocent until proven guilty I think is the statement,

Many innocent men have been charged with heinous crimes, many convicted, for the most part the system works, and it works because the government are made to prove their cases,

David Camm is a prime example of what happens when a prosecutor goes off piste, it took him 3 trials to prove his innocence, and he would still be in prison if his defense team did not fight, and then fight some more, and then continue fighting all the while he was in prison convicted of murdering his wife and children,

The justice system only works IMO if every defendant is provided the best defense possible
I agree. And it is my opinion the prosecution has presented compelling (albeit much is circumstantial) evidence thus far to indicate he was at the scene of the murders. They aren’t finished yet, I’ll decide about reasonable doubt after final rebuttal.

No. George never admitted on the hidden BCI tapes that he participated in the murders according to Scheiderer at George's Bond Hearing. Canepa was very clear they did not catch George confessing on those secretly recorded BCI tapes.

But if there is this so called damning information from things George said in his bugged truck, I hope we can, the jury can, hear it.

Common practice is that recordings are played for the jury with transcripts to go along for the jury to read.
It is amazing that every one understands why James M got so frustrated and upset he pulled a GPS device LE put on his truck off and smashed it. And every single one of us knows James M is totally innocent, did not plan, did not participate, did not cover up any part of these murders. Every one understands why Lenny M, God bless him, got so frustrated with the treatment his family was getting from LE that he blew up several times and even implied threats against LE.

But no one seems to consider that George may be innocent of it all and also became upset and vented his frustration at what he saw was harassment by LE.

Jmo I guess so he is a man willing to kill 8 people, including teenagers, mothers with their babies, could have hit one of those babies! But lying is where he draws the line and he will not cross it. Such a honest man. He doesn’t want to be the center of attention just telling it as he remembers it. <modsnip>. Jmo

I so remember that case.

I actually have a question about this. Are we 100% sure that GW was protecting Jake from Billy---or just protecting Jake from the people they were killing? That makes more sense to me.

Jmo Billy held the gun while Jake looked for casings and phones. Did Billy hold the gun while Jake climbed in the window too since he couldn’t do two things at same time?

Did George chew Jakes gum so Jake could walk to Frankies?

Did you ever wonder why Jake said mom and dad asked him if he wanted to talk about what happened?

If George was at the scene why didn't mom and dad ask him if he wanted to talk about it?

Then dad asks Jake if he regrets what happened?

If George was at the scene why doesn't dad ask George if he regrets what happened?

Something to think about.

JMO
Just a thought but Jake says he killed 5 people. FIVE. One of them was the mother of his child, nursing a newborn. The whole massacre happened because of what he thought and felt about Hanna. Why wouldn't they wonder if he was having problems about what he did and what all of them did? It might also be that both of them were like old Macbeth--"in blood, step'd in so far" that they can't turn back or change anything but it gnaws at their minds.

We also don't know if either of them or both talked to George. Jake would not necessarily know that. Or he could have been lying about his parents asking that. I don't trust any of his statements about his relationships with other people. I assume we get the version that makes him look best, like "I had no choice" when of course he did.

I said if he started that snickering and grotesque smiling in front of the jury they are not going to believe a word he says. And belching when talking about killing the woman he professed to love and wanted to come back to him?

And Canepa jumping up yelling Jesus? Wow.

Absolutely worth watching!!!!!!!!

LMAO

AC is good with the female witnesses, I will grant her that.

I don't truly think he went in the window at FR's after looking at the photos that LE took of the interior (and exterior).
Jmo he said he did, so we must take his words as he told them on the stand at that moment. Now keep in mind it may change later and at that point we can take him at his word then, as I view the state may have us believe. Jmo
