Something I've been thinking about is how much Chris Sr knew about Billy's dealings. Then think about Chris N also knowing much of what they were up to. That wreck in George's truck that almost killed CN. Was that part of the plan? Maybe because Chris N knew too much?

Billy knew exactly what Chris Sr knew about his dealings. I am sure since Billy knew about Chris Sr grow they had a mutual understanding they didn't talk about it or rat each other out, but I still wonder if Billy had motive to get rid of Chris Sr because he knew about things. I really am curious about the fight they had the week before. I don't think it was rumor, but what would it have been about?

Just my opinion here.. but Billy seems reckless with his criminal activity. He was on drugs and hot headed, he seems like the type to sell someone out to save himself (shocked he didn't take a deal in light of hearing how he threw every drug dealer in Ohio under the bus in that one 2 hour interview). He didn't want to rat out Chris Sr for the grow, because he knew Chris Sr knew all about his dealings and I suspect Kenneth knew all about it as well.

Question I wonder though is why would Chris Sr agree to a meeting with Billy about a drug deal. I feel like by this point Chris Sr should have been plenty weary about Billy and his ways.
CRsr may have just been curious about what kind of BS story GWIII had to tell…

It all came down to Sophia, she said; the girl was just a baby, and Angela's family, so she felt she had to kill to protect her.

Did she really care so much for Sophia when she gave her whippings when the poor little thing cried after the Wagners killed her momma and grandparents, aunts and uncles? May she rot in Hades.

From article,

The defense also discussed a letter Angela wrote to her mother-in-law Fredericka Wagner after she pled guilty.

In it, Angela said she could not bring herself to make Jake testify against her. Jake is the youngest son, who pleaded guilty earlier last year to all charges in exchange for life in prison without parole.

Also on the stand, Angela said it was her idea to plead guilty, and had not been approached by the state. She said she took the deal in the hopes of one day getting out of prison to give her sons and grandchildren hugs and kisses.

**********************************************************************************************************

Canepa offered plea deals to all 4. I do believe Angela was approached by the State about a plea. Maybe it was LWOP, I don't know, but Canepa was clear in court that all 4 defendants were offered a plea and only Jake took it.

Angie's letter shows us she tried to stay in Fred's "good graces" and tried to keep in touch with her but I doubt Fred wants anything to do with her. Fred could be furious that Angie nagged Billy "to do something" and Angie egged them on with all her abuse talk. Angie, thus, helped ruin her son, grandsons, and FWF's reputation.

Angie didn't want Jake testifying against her yet she is giving testimony against George that totally implicates George in the conspiracy, the whole murder conspiracy. This is even more reason I don't think Fred puts 2 cents into her jail account, I wonder who does? Can't call anyone without paying $ for the calls.

(I read a jail incident report and Angie says she has no $ for phone calls, says her son's did it so she shouldn't be in jail. She asks how to get a new identity, red flag about wanting to "break out" so to speak. Consider this my opinion only, there are no MSM links to these jail incident reports so I am not stating them as fact.)

Billy might insist on a trial to stay in Fred's good graces. He needs her money and can keep telling her he is innocent. A plea means he has to admit guilt which could cause Fred to ignore him. By saying he is innocent
looks better, he can say "see mom I'm innocent, don't believe what Jake and Angie say."

I hope Fred testifies on the stand and we get an inkling into what she thinks about the Wagner 4.
AW and her sons treat BW like he's an outsider in their world. I would like a clarification on why GW warned JW over their own father. Was it because he thought he would stop it from happening because he was best friends with CRs? I think FW is aware of how they treat her son.

Angela said she is more than sorry, but conceded she knew that wasn't enough.

It all came down to Sophia, she said; the girl was just a baby, and Angela's family, so she felt she had to kill to protect her.

Angela said the murders were not about custody — as then-Attorney General Mike DeWine announced when the Wagners were arrested — but about protecting Sophia. The Wagners believed Hanna May wouldn't do anything to prevent Sophia from being abused.

She reiterated that, while Hanna May was the main target for the homicides, the Wagners believed only killing her would lead to retaliation from the Rhoden family.

She said it was true that George helped the family in planning the murders and covering it up afterward, though she said to this day she doesn't know who shot whom the night of April 21, 2016.

Canepa and Nash finished questioning Angela and she stepped down from the witness stand Thursday afternoon. Next, the prosecution called Katy Wagner to the stand; Katy also opted out of being recorded during her testimony.

Katy is Billy's niece and George and Jake's cousin; several other witnesses have testified Billy gifted Katy the pick-up truck used as transportation in the murders.

On the morning of April 22, 2016, before the sun began to rise, Katy said Billy showed up at her home in Athens County and told her he had a surprise for her.

She told the jury she'd told her uncle previously to be on the lookout for a truck for her, because she'd wanted one; when he showed up that morning, he told her he'd gotten the black pick-up from her great uncle, Todd.

She had the title transferred into her name later that day, she said. Eventually, when they tracked it down, agents with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations seized it, though it was no longer in working condition by that time.

Katy said both Jake and George tried calling her family from jail, but no one answered their calls.
Soooo what about the story of her taking pics of horses for RW and BW was cleaning the truck. They lie everytime their mouths fly open. I couldn't send anybody to prison if it comes down to believing Aw or JW.

We all know why you didn't, Angela. You didn't take her to a doctor because it wasn't true. She wasn't being sexually assaulted, at least not by the Rhoden family members. What were you really afraid of Angela? That you would lose your meal ticket - your grandkids?
She couldn't do HR like GW's ex. She was losing control of everything where SW was concerned. Like you said she was losing that meal ticket too

At this address Angela's kennel burned down with the dogs in it on December 17, 2005. She claimed it was an electrical fire. I hope this wasn't a planned arson. Remember, their pastor said "they cried over dogs."

YOU ARE DEARLY MISSED AND LOVED EACH DAY BY US, WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU.
At this point I'd say it was arson. They shot and killed 7 adults and 1 child. They don't care about dogs

"I was trying to protect my family". Seems like AW has said that hundreds of times. Her default response to questions she won't answer. I hope she has a miserable life in prison.
I think she will. I hope the R or G family has someone on the inside with these horrible people.

Highlights from morning session with Angela Wagner

Highlights from afternoon session with Angela Wagner, testifying against son George Wagner IV in Pike Co. Massacre trial

Special prosecutor Angela Canepa asked her who else participated in the crimes. “All four of us,” Angela answered, referring to herself, her husband Billy and her two sons George and Jake.

She also said this was not about custody, but protecting her granddaughter. Said if Hanna Rhoden had agreed to just supervised visits, the murders wouldn't have happened.

is now no longer naming the daughter of Jake Wagner and Hanna Rhoden given she is a possible survivor of sexual abuse.

Also on redirect, Angela testified the entire family was guilty of aggravated murder including defendant George. She said she was guilty, even though those charges were dropped against her.

She reiterated she still doesn't know who killed who, or the details of what happened after Billy, Jake and George left the house that night.

But she repeated that George told her he left one of the bloody shoeprints in Chris Rhoden Sr.'s house. And that she asked both her sons before the murders if they were still going through with it - they were committed "to protect" Jake's daughter.

Prosecutors also revealed how Billy Wagner showed up at his brother's house before dawn on April 22, 2016 – the day of the murders. He gave 2010 GMC pickup to his niece Katy Wagner, who testified she had mentioned several months prior to Billy that she needed a truck.

She testified that once while she was visiting the Wagner Flying W Ranch, Billy offered to clean her truck for her. "We were physically ill,” Katy Wagner testified about when she and her father learned Jake Wagner pleaded guilty.

She also said George and Jake would call her from prison after their arrests, but she never answered the calls. Ohio BCI agents showed up at their horse farm in Athens County the day after they searched the Flying W Ranch, the day after Jake confessed.

Court starts late Friday as there's an evidentiary hearing thought to involve the wiretaps of George and Jake as they drove a semi cross country after the murders. That's at 9 a.m. and the jury is supposed to report at 10 a.m.

Afternoon for Wagner trial and Angela Wagner testimony all in one spot

I wonder when we will get another live witness, I wonder if AW said the comments about GW saying they were his footprints the first time she sat down to do her deal, or did it take more than one time to get her to throw him under the bus,

JW waited until July of this year before he gave the state testimony that BW shot FR, I wonder if AW had to be encouraged to give up GW

we will only know if all the proffer interviews are released, just releasing the final document does not tell the whole story,

and AW saying she just couldn't allow JW to have to testify against her, but she was willing to testify against her son in exchange for the hope one day that she will see her grandchildren, she is delusional if any of the parents who are now raising her grandchildren allow her anywhere near them (they should be given a lifetime restraining order against any of the Wagners they choose, but especially AW as I fear she is plotting and scheming in jail to try to find people who will keep tabs on BLW and SW whilst she is in prison, I also think JW is doing the same, one of his many prison girlfriends as he will have many may be manipulated into keeping tabs on SW) and her grandchildren IMO will want to have nothing to do with her once released,
I wonder if it will be KW’s parents/BW brother & wife. They were subpoenaed when KW was.

Hanna would have had the same type of "supervised visits" as Tabitha got. Nothing.

Exactly! Just the gall of that woman. And Local 12 WKRC-TV lending credence to it! That's a real concern, how is the jury reacting to her? This is not good.

I'm glad she's gone back to jail, I can't stand to even read about her now.

Did the defense make any inroads on cross?

Just on what Ive read and heard on podcasts it doesnt look good for team IV.

I dont know if Parker can show more disdain for his client. He mostly blows 4 off when 4 tries to show him his ramblings and doodling. Jmo
