Yeppers, they could have Myland, but sometimes the "devil is in the details" and maybe, just maybe they left everything in the same folder. Those forged docs had to show up somewhere, so why not at the border?
I had a client who had a 3pm appt with me. He left his folder by mistake and in it he had written a disparaging note. Meeting with "beeatch" at 3pm. So strange, because he had never met me before. I think you might be right, everything they needed & MORE was in one folder. Try as they might, there’s simply too many details to keep straight.

Perhaps because of the desperation to have the kids, LE felt assured they were okay.
Remember the realtor murdered by her ex in TX last year? During the hurricane? He was on the radar for a few days, if not weeks, both minor kids living with him. That case was awful, too. Well, they all are.

MYLAND, I am relieved it bothers you, too. But what can be done/proven until there is an arrest? Parental rights seem to trump common sense. Children are treated as chattel, and and not precious lives that need to be protected. (very confusing issue) In so many cases we/I have followed on WS...the obviously guilty party, has been allowed to keep custody of minor children until they are arrested. Mark Sievers was able to retain custody of his two daughters until he was arrested. I thought half us were going to have heart attacks worrying about the young daughters, even though his accomplices had been arrested 5 months earlier.

MYLAND, I am relieved it bothers you, too. But what can be done/proven until there is an arrest. In so many cases we/I have followed on WS...the obviously guilty party, has been allowed to keep custody of minor children until they are arrested. Mark Sievers was able to retain custody of his two daughters until he was arrested. I thought half us were going to have heart attacks worrying about the young daughters, even though his accomplices had been arrested 5 months earlier.

I understand people not liking that. My sister-n-law feels the same as you, but I dont personally have a problem with toy guns. Here people take their kids hunting almost as soon as they are strong enough to hold a gun, which does make me pretty nervous.jmo

The fact that her mom & many other members of her family were murdered by a person with a gun & she was given one to play with shortly after disturbed me. It seems inappropriate to post a photo of her with a gun. IMO

I think the 2 were probably "physically" in a safe situation...psychologically, now that's another story.
The W's adored them.

Jmo i wonder why le didn’t request children services to look into the care of the two little ones. Why didn’t they try to get the two little ones away from the four before 2 1/2 years passed if they had evidence? If they killed 8 people why didn’t le think they could kill those babies and then kill themselves or even run with them. As soon as found out about the forgery they could have taken the little ones pending investigation of forgery and continued the murder investigation.

I have loosely followed the Sievers case. They had to arrest, and jail him, before his custodial rights were revoked. TS was murdered on June 28, 2015 and MS was charged, and arrested, in early 2016. He didn't lose permanent custody for several months after he'd been arrested, and he is still allowed supervised calls with his daughters, and I've yet to see a court date set for a trial. As of right now, he is considered innocent until proven otherwise. FWIW, his mother, too, believes in his innocence.

Oh Puzzle8, you are a hoot! I did not charge him extra. TOS, but I did a "bad thing." I treated him very well, and showed him how good I was at my job. Then, he got himself into financial trouble again, I told the staff to tell him we couldn't help him anymore. Heard through the grapevine he complained to a neighbor that he had to seek help elsewhere at triple my fees!

I agree they adored them, but many times that is how it ends. With killers killing the children then themselves no matter how much it appears they love the children. Sick people do sick things. Jmo

I think because they had them under surveillance & remember, the murderers had the opp’ to kill children, they chose not to. In all honesty, neither kid looked abused or unhappy in any photos. I didn’t like seeing the kids with toy guns on the DF FB page. It disgusted me to see little S toting a gun.

The timing of that photo bothered me more than anything. Not cool. Even if they are all totally innocent.
