I personally believe the windows were previously opened or possibly opened after the murders as a red herring or to fumigate the place after the act while they tried to cover their tracks. I believe the killers walked in the front/rear doors and did their unthinkable act. There are a myriad of ways this could have occurred and it's all speculation at this point, without knowing the status of the doors, locks, etc. A strong screwdriver can easily pop a locked door on a mobile home if they didn't have deadbolts installed. I've lived in a mobile home for a bit. Those windows aren't very easily accessible without a ladder of some sort. I'm not saying it's impossible to crawl through one but it would be another way of the perps being discovered prior to them committing murders. JMO

Hopefully you can give her some kind of sign that you are a friend. It is only going to get worse for her and Bobby when the trials begin and the reporters get more aggressive trying to get a statement. She really is a victim in all this. I can't imagine what she is going through.

JMO

I will try to come up with a way, I would never want to make her feel uncomfortable though.

Some think she was yawning, some think she was reacting to something that was said.
Most people don’t yawn with their eyes open.

Trudie,we might be thinking of different pics then. There was one wherein she was sitting with Bobby and his wife and asked "why" with a surprised look at her moms hearing, and one where she sat alone (don't recall whose arraignment right now though) wherein she was yawning. Hell we both could be right.:confused:

I would definitely need more secure locks then the standard mobile home lock.
IF the W’s are guilty, I think they marched right on in thru a door. They may have had a master type key. They are not difficult to get. Toting a ladder around in the dark of the night to access a window makes no sense. IMO
My dog locked me out the other day, I had to enter thru a window & I’m 5’7”-120 lbs and it wasn’t easy.

I've often wondered how they avoided waking/being identified by the 3 yr old in FR & HHG's home. What are your thoughts?

Oh no prob. We can both have our opinions. You see a yawn, I see something totally dif’. The convo about her expression was not hurtful or otherwise derogatory, it’s not like I (or anyone) implied she’s an alcoholic or an addict because of her appearance. Nothing that absurd. We simply discussed a photo as many do.
I’m not here to argue & I don’t have to be “right”.

I also think those open windows will come up at trial unless there is a logical explanation for them such as it was a mild night or the victims were in the habit of opening windows to let out smoke/odors or sleeping with open windows.

I do think Jake could have fit through one of them, but I do not think the windows are how the W's gained entrance to the trailers. The open windows may have been an effort to stage the scene, but I honestly don't know if they mean anything at all.

Jake's appearance seems to have improved while he has been in jail. This could be due to him being relieved it is all over, no more running looking over your shoulder. No more waiting for the other shoe to drop. Now he knows exactly what he is up against.

It could also be due to no drugs in jail. If he had a drug habit that caused him to be thin and pasty then being in jail would improve his looks.

IMO it is the drugs angle. I have thought many times he looked like he might be taking meth or some other drug. If so then that is why his appearance has improved in jail.

Just for reference, I sleep with open windows year round and my climate is more severe than in southern Ohio. Just my preference and raising.

I’ve thought this too. It really was a risky crime. There was no way to be 100% certain someone would not be up & about to use the bathroom, get a drink, check on a child or flipping a tv on, etc.

Me too. I grew up in WI, I would get in soooooo much trouble for having my bedroom window open in the winter.
I heard “do you think money grows on trees” frequently. In regard to the furnace running & my window wide open.

Same here. It's great that everyone sees things differently, imagine how boring it would be if everyone agreed.

I think the windows were opened by the victims. Trailers are notoriously hot, aren’t they? The spring season in our area brings intense daytime heating. Evenings, after sunset would be quite pleasant. The time of the year where we really don’t need heat or AC. Moo

Older trailers have very little insulation. They are hot when it is hot weather and cold when it is cold weather.
