Either my phone is not allowing me to update the postings on this thread or you people have way more excitement going on than I do.

Please do not link to pikecountygoodlaw page As it is neither LE or MSM it is considered rumor/gossip. thank you, tlcya.

ETA despite the efforts of some, this thread is about the murder of the 8 members of the Rhoden family. It is not about whether people like or don't like the Pike County Sheriff. Discuss him in relation to this case. If it's not specifically about him and his statements or handling of this case leave it outside.

Thanks for the clarification, tlcya. It was my first time visiting the page and wasn't sure if it was a legit news/newsletter or not.

Did any of the doctors and/or nurses on here ever figure out the information on what little of the autopsy reports we got ? I never seen anyone post anything about them.

No. What did you have questions about specifically?

Ohio AG Office: 'unable to identify' all Pike County costs

http://www.fox19.com/story/33360516/oh-attorney-general-on-pike-county-costs-unable-to-identify

The Pike County spending included:

$12,994.00 for vehicle and mobile home towing
$25,148.36 for rental fees, portable restrooms, surveillance cameras, fuel, coolers, undercover truck, and bed bug treatments for one of the Rhoden crime scenes
$97,498 to two contractors to move the crime scenes, secure the Union Hill and Left Fork Road properties and evidence preservation
$69,130.79 for overtime pay for Pike County deputies

Ok, I understand the cost of towing, etc, but why and to whom are they paying $97,000 in contractor fees to move crime scenes and preserve evidence? Isn't that work that trained LE officers, detectives and crime scene specialists should do? I thought the sheriff's department and Ohio BCI was supposed to be handling this?

I can't help but wonder if this odd way of processing the crime scene has rendered the evidence useless in court.

More info at link

According to the article, one of the crime scenes had to be treated for bed bugs.

Why is this news outlet so obsessed with the cost? Now should not be the time to question it, as it only causes distractions in the investigation, in my opinion. Request this info AFTER the case has been solved.

Well I wanted to know from the info if they were beaten up, who died first, who was able to fight and if any were really asleep. Because I just don't see them being asleep in their beds and shot. I know we have went back and forth about it, but I still don't see that happening. I thought the autopsy's could shed some light on the "way" they died. I don't want to know in a greusome way, just scientifily. To see if we can figure something more out about this case.

Seems they are trying to view the investigation in a negative image. Probably all political, moo.

The way our (US) political figures have shown themselves, they have no business in scrutinizing crime reports to win elections. Finding flaws in one another fine, but bad mouthing without facts just makes them look ridiculous. Insinuating there is a problem and forcing knowledge of evidence is interfering. Everyone wants the killers found. I'd be searching for deeper info, if any investigative journos still exist. Go after the killers. jmo

I feel the same way. Things are expensive.. this was HUGE. Everything is expensive, moving trailers not cheap, I priced it not long ago. This TV station needs to cool its jets, jeopardizing things. Sure I am curious, many locals are. But not at the cost of the case.

Bedbugs. Can you imagine. Being close to someone. Being suspicious about if they had a role in this. Suddenly, they got bedbugs. Then you read one of the homes had bedbugs. It would be so sweet if bedbugs could be productive for once, and be the break in the case LE needs! ( It could happen..!! )

I wonder how long it takes to do bedbug DNA? I'd think a bedbug would have multiple dna involved possibly? But a large amount of their latest victim or victims (sleeping partners) first, then the trace amount. gah

I'm thinking of changing my name here to "Hurryup&Wait". probably taken....the time it takes is exhausting. Just venting...

OK. I have been doing some serious thinking about this bedbug business. And yes there is a point to this.
Hopefully none of you have had experiences with bedbugs. Not proud of it but I have. It does not mean a home is not clean, they just kind of come home with you. Take up residence in your bed, mattress, couch...in the creases where you cannot see during daylight. They like to come out after dark.
Here is my point. I had a mild case compared to some I know of where you literally have to throw furniture out. Bugs multiply quickly and often. They suck blood and can survive on that blood I am told close to a year from ONE bite.
NOW where this comes in to play with the Rhoden cases. We established that the "perps" who did the deed spent some time at the homes, visiting...maybe watching TV, socializing while at the same time they were getting a good look at the places, cameras, doors, whatever. When I first got the things, I thought I had a rash, If one has not had experience with bedbugs, they may not realize they are even getting bit. (OR giving a blood sample...).Little bug comes along...has you for dinner, then goes back to a crease on the couch with YOUR blood in him. Point being... it is my opinion that BCI may very well have blood samples of the perps from the bedbugs! Most blood, yes would be family living in the home but SOME would be the "perp" or "perps"....this of course in addition to any blood samples they may or may not have already. And yes the bug only bites one person so not going to be a mix of blood there.

8 related murders at different locations shouldn't take bed bugs to solve.

Jmo.

Maybe the bed bugs are just one of the reasons for moving the homes.

This case brought me to Websleuths and its been almost 6 months. On a related note, I have also been a Websleuths addict now for almost 6 months.

I'm confused about the bedbug situation. Was this a theory or did I miss an article that mentioned something about bedbugs?
