OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) - #30

Last I heard they were going to do an oral agruement of some kind, but that was months ago.

Oral arguments were completed last summer. Some new judges were appointed to review the case and it's sitting cold in the Ohio Supreme Court. They're not going to rule on it any time soon. Remember, DeWine's son is an Ohio Supreme Court Justice. It's a rigged system and has been for decades.

Last activity was in June 2017, when two more judges were assigned to the case to replace justices. They're just doing all they can do drag this out as long as possible, hoping the newspapers will give up. Can't believe they already applied enough pressure to cause two journalists covering the case to lose or leave their jobs.

Way to go, corrupt Ohio.

If there's a LEO involved, and that's been in my top three/four theories too. I definitely have a person in mind, and I'd guess there's others on the thread who may know who that person is, that I'm thinkin' on.

My alternate theory is that innocent locals who know the identity of the killers (or who hired them) are being threatened by prosecutors with other charges if they come forward with information. Prosecutors/politicians are afraid if witnesses come forward they'll also want to talk about others in the criminal network - local & state politicians, businessmen, political donors.

It's a scary thought really. The fact that the very agency which is suppose to protect you can kill you or at least cover it up?

LM's been quiet since they got the lawyer for James. I think between the lawyer and the family, that's why he's been quiet. I'm not giving up hope that this crime will be solved. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I have an uneasy feeling that you may be right about LE being involved. I'm going to remain hopeful that it will be solved.

The total silence sure makes a cover up look possible. It could be local or county wide. It could be prominent politicians. The LE says it wasn't because of drugs. The only other thing I can think of that would bring about this level of effort to keep quiet is human trafficking....

What if we look at this a different way. What if this wasn't about drugs but a family thing? It's been said that this couldn't be backwoods justice but, I'm here to tell you that it could be retribution. Intelligence is not passed out by the spot you hold on a map and, you can't assure silence like this unless unless you're protecting each other. We know by history that even the mexican mafia has leaks. People talk and turn on each other when push comes to shove. If this is a another family coming together to kill they will not turn on one another. They moved together as one and they will protect each other. Thats my thoughts on this whole thing. My thoughts are just my own and I look forward to reading what you all thunk about it.

I'm sad to say I agree. Everything that's happened from the first hours after discovery of the bodies indicates that's the case. Every aspect of the case has been handled in such a bizarre and secretive manner. I don't think we can believe much of anything LE, prosecutors or the AG has said thus far.

Yes, they've said that all along. Killers are local, bigger than just drugs, etc. They've been rather careful in making it seem as though no outside drug or crime groups were involved. JMO, they're up to their necks in corruption down there, from top to bottom.
