I mentioned previously that Jake may have been intentionally kept "clean" so he would still get his daughter. That way they would "win" even if they got caught...

That would lead me to believe that GW4 was too. They'd want him clean to keep B. I thought that I'd be satsified when they made arrests, but I find that I still have lots of unanswered questions. Guess I'll have to wait for the trial.

There has to be evidence of “real hacking” as it’s stated in each indictment, along with listing counter surveillance and accessing the victims phone conversations prior to their murders. Also consider that 4 of the 8 victims were very young adults and teenagers who most likely used a smart phone to access social media, not a computer with sticky notes of passwords everywhere. JMO.

Bet their smartphones were sync to laptops, home computers etc. All a smartphone is a handheld computer. Just because they are younger doesn't mean they are smarter with electronics. Thanks

I'm puzzled by a lawyer mentioning level of education as some sort of defense or excuse for any sort of bad behavior. I've known many well educated people who are morally bereft, cruel and uncaring of others and many people with less than ideal education who were kind, compassionate and caring people and who wouldn't dream of hurting another person intentionally... wouldn't even say anything mean about another person. I see no connection between formal education or the lack thereof and being raised up to be decent, reasonable, kind and unselfish people who are capable of conflict resolution without violence and killing.

I think that he is inferring that GW3 would not have the skills to plan such an elaborate crime. I don't think GW3 was the main planner, but, with that said, I know several folks who never graduated h.s., but who have thriving businesses, and are quite comfortable, financially.

I worked with a guy that could barely read and write but he worked in a model shop machining parts and building prototype equipment. So yes, education and great skill are not always hand in hand...

Hacking example You work for XYZ company have all their passwords etc. You are fired. Company doesn't change password. You log on without permission according to government you are HACKING. Hacking is a throw away word. We will find out what they did. I don't see Ws using Linux going all Mr. Robot on Rs electronics without access to physical equipment. I agree with your assessment but not with the attorney's premise. There are guys out there who failed all the way through school and could take a car apart and put it back together again. My son who, at age 10, obviously had very little education at the time (just what any other 10 year old would have) built his first computer with no difficulties at all. Education and being intelligent or "above average" in many ways are two very different things. The Wags might lack formal education but we can agree, for example that, handed hunting rifles, they're going to eat food and very quickly... and I have more education but I'm going to starve.

I don't believe GW3 to be a person who has a lot of planning skills. AW, on the other hand, I think does have those skills. I'm sure GW3 could scout the Rs, just like he'd scout deer, but putting together the entire plan, no, I don't see that. I agree with the poster on the thread before, I see hints of ASPD in him.

I don't have enough of a sense of them individually to have an opinion about who did what or if JW was present. But, I'm sure he was instructed to stay calm, look at the papers, show no emotion or facial expressions, and don't look at anyone. Which he did. He may also actually feel calm internally for a variety of reasons. If in fact he didn't commit any of the murders, he will for sure be the weakest link.

Hacking is just getting into someone's computer/phone/tablet without their permission, to gain access to their data. There is an ethical reason, for hacking, but no one usually associates the term with that and it doesn't apply here.

Maybe, but it could be that he had his lawyer there, who becomes almost kind of a friend, or friendly face, and likely coached him before he went inside. They go over how to act in court, especially if it is their first time in trouble (sit straight up, shoulders back, look at the judge, call him "your honor" , etc...).

I didn't think he looked calm at all. His face twitched every time Christopher Rhoden JR was mentioned. Regret for killing a 16 year old?

Moreover you could tell by that head shaking and twisting at the end that his neck was stiff because he was very tense during the entire proceeding.

IMO that facial tic gave away just how much emotion he was feeling. Anger? Regret? Fear? Who knows?

Good catch. I noticed him twitching, but didn't relate it to CRJR. SMH. What were they thinking? Why? I will never understand. I hope this haunts all of them forever.

Also noticed Charlie Reader walking around the courtroom beforehand. He seems more relaxed now than before.

ETA: I wonder if CRJr begged for his life before he died, poor child. It appears he was awake. That kind of thing might be weighing heavily on JW's mind.

I am certain in my heart that JW fired the shots into HHG. That is why she was shot five times in the face. Those bullets were meant for her brother CG. All that rage, hate and jealousy of CG for being with HR went into those five shots. None of the others BW, GW or AW would have had that kind of rage and hate toward HHG because of her brothers affair with HR. Just JW. He was the one who was wronged by HHG's brother CG.

I am also certain that JW fired the shots into HR. Only two shots, almost lovingly done in relation to all the others.

After all that face twitching every time CR2 was mentioned leads me to think he also killed CR and regrets having to do it.
