I could fit in with the accent lol. I will sleuth from afar lol. My family comes from Black Betsy WV but I'm way further south. I wish I lived in the mountains though it would be my dream if I was independently wealthy and could do what I wanted lol.

Land is cheap, it sounds like, but no income without incurring problems.............yes it looks beautiful there. JMO

I'd thought about driving down there this weekend (about 2 hours away..) and just hit a few bars, drink a few beers and LISTEN...
Well if it's as close knit as we've been told, you'd be recognized as an outsider and no one would say anything lol

Re: LE & secrecy, I totally get it. I never expect them to show their hands while the game is still in play.
But what I have found strange from the offset of this case is the lack of pressers and statements. Even something as simple as, "We're still working on this. We'd like to thank the public for all the tips.... etc." While it's not necessary, particularly helpful, or something they owe the public, it's something I'm accustomed to seeing.
I definitely feel that, even though this crime might be centered around just this family, it's part of a spiderweb of criminal activity. I think that this case is likely tangentially linked to other cases, or is pertinent to a larger case. I can't really think of another reason why LE would be this tight lipped.

Someone asked the other day and I missed if anyone answered: is there a way to block posts with the word "cartel" in them? I can't take the cartel nonsense any longer.

Why? Seriously, why do you think it is nonsense? You could be right. Pls explain your thoughts.

I tried to warn everyone on the first thread. I know LE working this case and I knew they wouldn't be telling us anything until they make an arrest/s.

As is should be IMO

Sure it would be nice to have a clue but in this case it's so convoluted I would think it will take a long while unless someone confesses for anything to be brought to light.

I think I recall WS has a political section. Maybe someone could start a Kasich thread....
Mr. Plum, rope, out back
I'm not so sure arrest is as imminent as I thought yesterday. Thinking that's an awful lot of evidence to process.

WOW. IM in Mich. But my younger sister who thankfully was on Medicaid....died 5months ago of cancer. Here, in hospice, with me 10 feet away. She wouldn't have had any medical assistance without it. JMO

So sorry for your loss.

A confession would be nice, but I suspect there's a better chance of some helpful finger pointing. If LE starts to poke around and push buttons in the right places, I can see at least a few people being inclined to save their own rear quarters by spilling the beans on someone else. Fingers crossed.

Also a surprising paucity of media leaks.

That section was ditched, thankfully, a long time ago. All that I read there was hateful right wing rant. I'm glad it's gone. JMO

I find all of the social media interactions odd as I've snooped in this case. I feel like I may need to go into some kind of deprograming therapy afterwards if I continue to delve there.

YES!!!

I for one think they are correct in not releasing everything they know. Am I curious what is going on? Sure. But, I also feel they are "very" close to slapping the cuffs on a few people. ;)

I think everyone in here would agree that we respect and appreciate LE prioritizing solving the case over satiating public curiosity.
Hoping you're right about those cuffs!

Mine are crossed also.

I'll pass, but I'd love to take a trip down that way sometime after things calm down. It looks like a really beautiful area. I've always wanted to visit the Serpent Mound, it's near there. It's an ancient Native American effigy. Would also like to do a road trip along the Ohio River.

Serpent Mound is very interesting. The entire area in Spring, Summer, early Fall is beautiful.
A Drive along the Ohio River is very nice also. I've been on a boat, up and down the Ohio, and you can't beat it for picturesque.

Hi Tillicum, do you live near this area, just curious? I used to work with C. Reader and also his brother and only hope people realize he won't stop until someone is held accountable for this.

He is a very nice man.

I'm taking a break.

have no fear

JK dropped out of the Pres race, we will have an arrest tomorrow. After all is was him running that has caused an almost 2 week delay in LE announcing the murderer of 8 people that is full of twists and turns.

Been a member here since 04 ( yea I know it says 09-reason I had to add 12 to my user name) made my first post in 09. I have never seen a case where politics has been brought into the discussion especially a Gov. unless said person was directly a suspect in the case.

What theory could there be that would hold a sitting Gov. responsible for anything In this case? I submit NONE!! Not that I have seen.

Now the AG might be using what some might consider to be political speech by not giving out info that is important to the case, he might just be trying to gather evidence to build a solid case. WOW who would do that?

We must remember LE doesn't have to tell anyone anything, can lie to further the case, lots of things that some might not like. It is what it is. I accept it. Have seen it before

JMO and my two sense for what it's worth.

Thank you!!

That's good to hear. JMO
