From what I can gather, it occurred yesterday evening, is linked to the suspension of the search, and emotions are (understandably) high. It appears Shasta's cousin is the admin. S/he is actively commenting on this thread.

Heroin is an epidemic all over southern Ohio. I work in a rehab in butler county in Ohio.

Can anyone make out what kind of shoes she was wearing in the photo with pink top and grey pants?
slip ons, clogs, or tie ups................wondering why they were off her feet.........cold that night.
In this bitter cold and no shoes on, I can't believe she would be in hiding unless she was kidnapped.
That is mentioned that some believe she may still be alive............why hiding? no contact, I think she would call her grandma.
Who was last to see her at that gas station, who was she with and why was she out so late.
Curious if when she is found if she will still be wearing her engagement ring.

I live south of Chillicothe but the times I've been there it seems to be a fairly low crime area compared to Columbus, Dayton, Springfield etc. This was the first I'd heard of the possibility of sex trafficking there.

Heroin is a lot cheaper than pain pills. That's how a lot of people get hooked. There are also other ways to pay for drugs such as stealing to support the habit, prostitution, etc.

It was replaced by "hillbilly" heroin, oxycodone, about 10-15 years ago, but that can cost $20/pill or much more depending on your location. Using regular street heroin has come back into favor the past 2-3 years because the cost is much less than pills from the 'codone' family.

I don't know but we haven't heard reports that she didn't show up for work on such and such day.

Also I don't know if it's okay to share but it's been stated on the Bring Shasta Home page that the inheritance she received this year is gone. I think she received the inheritance after she got off the drugs though. Mods please delete if it's not okay.

Yes. Her father raised her from what I've been told.

Shasta's dad was only 50 when he died. Her paternal grandfather, who passed at 74 in 2010, was retired from the Chillicothe Correctional Institute.

in a TV interview grandma said that Shasta got a text and left immediately that night. She told grandma she would be right back..............
LE surely has that text.
A receipt from the gas station was found in the car. Didn't say what it was for.
Could she of used a Mac machine? Then got robbed? Just thinking out loud.
We need more clues..............mystery
