Do any of them have distinctive soil, that would be unlike the rest of the area? Clay, or a certain type of mud, or sand, maybe?
I think there is an area off 93 heading toward New Straitsville where my husband went mushroom hunting there was clay like mud there we got the car stuck in it once I can't remember the name of the road but there's a junkyard off the same road When hubby gets home I will ask the name of the road

This article says they have homes in Akron, OH: http://www.fox8.com/news/wjw-summer-inman-disappearance-three-arrested.txt,0,2578310.story

"Her estranged husband, William Inman II, and his parents, William Inman and Sandra Inman, who lived in an Akron home, have all been arrested and charged with Summer's kidnapping."

The Summit County appraisal and tax site shows 3 properties in Akron: http://fiscalweb.summitoh.net/clt/refintg2.opt?DOLAND=ON&DOLAND=OFF&DOCARD=ON&DOCARD=OFF&CARDNUM=ALL&DOSALES=ON&DOSALES=OFF&DOPERMITS=ON&DOPERMITS=OFF&DOTAXES=ON&DOTAXES=OFF&DOASSESS=ON&DOASSESS=OFF&DOCAUV=OFF&DOCAUV=OFF&DONOTES=ON&DONOTES=OFF&DOGENINF=ON&DOGENINF=OFF&LIENYEAR=2010&parcel=&route=&addr=&own=inman%25&action=Search

Thanks, I hadn't seen anything about an Akron home. However, I am also not finding which home it is that they raided, as none of the ones listed to an Inman are on Faye Road, as indicated in the article.

One day after Summer's kidnapping, SWAT team officers from the Akron Police Department descended on the Inman's Faye Road home.

The address that I have listed in Hemden is the one from the Mercy Ranch website.

Questions regarding the Crown Vic Tires:

-What is the "standard" size tire on a Crown Victoria?

-If the car does not come with 16" tires, would 16" tires be considered lower or higher profile tires?

-Woud 16" tires on a Crown Vic be a part of "souping" it up?

-How many other 16" tires did that shop have for sale? Would it be a common request from a customer, let alone to buy them and sell them on the same day?

-Were the rims "flashier" or different on the new tires that the Inmans bought?

-If the Crown Vic. did not have a front license plate, and it was never seen around the Inmans property (as per FB poster), then why did the Inman's even use it? Wasn't this simply drawing more attention to them, the fact that they didn't use their usual car to travel that night?

-Did the Inman's car REALLY break down on the highway the night Summer was taken?

It depends on the year of the Crown Vic and I have not seen that published. Some had 15" tires, others had 15" with 16" optional then eventually they were all 16". But it sounds like the swapped one set of 16" tires and wheels for another. Something like a white Ford Crown Vic often blends in well and is not noticed since so many police departments and taxis use these cars they are everywhere. This car may even have been purchased at a used police car auction. I think it's remarkable that "Pat" happened to notice the car or things may not have progressed as they have.

I think his responses to commenters on the blog are the most telling sign of his game-playing. He comes out of the caricature and turns into what sounds like a youngish guy with too much time on his hands.

He definitely has too much time on his hands. Too bad he's choosing to use it for the purposes of blogging and commenting, rather than for good.

Okay, this is the house that the Inman's moved into in the Summer of 2010... http://www.cutlerhomes.com/p/259/3209143

Ona side note, it is sad...there are photos of what are obviously the children's beds and toys.

It matches with the shot of the home from this news video... http://www.fox8.com/news/wjw-summer-inman-disappearance-three-arrested.txt,0,2578310.story

Interesting that it has been on the market for 18 days and the price dropped $10000 on 3/26 (I assume, since it is now connected to a kidnapping).

According to the tax records, there was a new mortgage on Jul 19, 2010, which would coinscide with the Inman's moving in. If that is the case, then who the heck is the person listed as the owner? http://fiscalweb.summitoh.net/clt/refintg3.main

Wow, all these areas bring back memories. It's odd when one of these cases is in an area where you grew up and spent the first 30 years of your life, though I was not in the immediate area so I don't know any of the families. I can't help but think there has to be a reason they ended up at a salvage yard in Cleveland the next day when there are so many salvage yards closer to where it all started. That makes me think they were far away from the kidnapping site when they dropped off Summer.

Thanks, Holly!

I can't get your 3rd link to work (the fiscalweb link).

I wonder which WI went to change the tires. I'm seeing conflicting reports. In any event, would it have been possible for them to stop at home and then 1 or 2 people take the car to the salvage yard and have one of the other WI's go back in another vehicle to purchase the tires back?

I seriously can't GRASP the inside vs outside! (is it just me??) or the price!!

It also looks like it can be the house from the inside photos of the kids at X-Mas on Jrs myspace but def NOT the mansion he claims they owned. lol

eta..looking at the outside a few more xs I don't believe it's as 'dumpy' as I first thought but still doesn't match the inside..Strange!

You're not the only one. The outside and inside of the house give off two completely different vibes, dont they?! And the whole interior is completely sterile-looking to me. I'd go nuts with all that white and beige.

Oh, and picture 19 has what looks like a portrait of WI, Summer, and one of the babies. Creepy. As if they just havent moved on?

Yes it is quite odd. If you know the area you know how many rural areas there are where nobody could see or hear anything. I hope they can find her

Very diff vibes & it also doesn't look like that house is BIG enough from the outside :waitasec:

It's def a pix of them (I enlarged it) but WHY in a house that was supposedly bought around the same time if not PRIOR to when they split up?

Even then it's a lot of travelling. Cleveland (where the junkyard is) is about an hour north of Akron (where the one house is) and both those spots are 3 or more hours away from the kidnapping site.

BBM: If you read William A Inman's cache copy of his website, he explains that someone GAVE a property to him last year, after they bonded while discussing Jesus for 3 hours, fwiw. He took it as a sign or something. *shrugs*

Ummm, I don't have time to pull everything for you right now, or review everything closer, but I can do that tonight if it hasn't already been addressed. HTH

I started a Scanner Thread for Summer here.

We are not allowed to discuss scanner topics on the main thread, but, my post above is from the Hocking County Sheriff Department's FB Wall, so, hopefully it is okay.

Can anyone listen to the Scanner thread, and post the updates here?

You must be a member of Websleuths to get downstairs, so, for the 15 Guests on right now, it is a good time to sign up!

I'm stuck on trying to figure out this house issue. So someone GAVE this property to WI Sr. in the Summer of 2010? This is just about the time Summer filed for divorce. So was WI Jr. living there by himself and the kids when they visited?

On a side note, I sure wish someone would bond with me and give me a nice house like that, jeez! LOL

http://www2.nbc4i.com/news/2011/mar/29/police-trace-path-suspects-womans-kidnapping-ar-437498/

Police said the Inmans stopped at the Blu Sonic Car Wash on Orchardview Avenue in Seven Hills at about 7:32 a.m. on March 23.

Surveillance video from the car wash shows the Inmans appearing to clean out and vacuum the interior of their white-colored Ford Crown Victoria.

Police said there is no sign of Summer during the video.

According to police, the elder Inman is observed removing a police spotlight from the driver's side of the vehicle and taking the temporary license plate from the front window area and attaching it to the rear bumper of the vehicle.
