The facial resemblance is uncanny, but according to this article, Pamela was of a slight build and only 5' tall.

Yeah, dead ringer facial resemblances are not uncommon, truly. And there are discrepancies. It's wildly unlikely I know, but there's enough to make it worth following up, I think. People's memories can be way off.

I seem to recall looking into Pamela for another UID and finding out they did think there was a possibility she had gone to the US. Do you know how far Buckskin's isotopes went back? Was it more than six years?

Her isotopes were hair and nails, so it didn't go back further than a year or two, depending on her hair length and how fast it grew. It didn't pinpoint a possible point of origin, only where she spent her time more recently.

So an origin in England isn't out of the question. Hmmm.

No, it isn't. I was hoping to find out what color hair and eyes Pamela had to see if they matched, but haven't found it yet. Do you know, by chance?

With all the relative exposure, it amazes me that our Buckskin girl and Lyle Stevik haven’t been identified. These two cases are mind boggling.

It would explain why nobody was able to identify her. I think she could have ran away to start a new life. This article states that Pamela was adopted. http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/crime/cold-case-norfolk-woman-who-simply-disappeared-1-1006952

I think it's worth looking into. The mouth and the nose is almost identical to the PM photos. It even makes me creeped out a little... I flipped the photo horizontally and they have the exact same crooked nose. When I put PE's photo on top of the morgue photo it lines up perfectly. The shape of the lower mouth is also very similar.

Someone could contact the Norfolk Police.

Plus I also think that height/weight/color informations can be unreliable... did anyone else notice that the Doe Network says she graduated with a BA in arts, but a 2007 Daily Mail article says she was a law student?

I agree. Those memories can be subjective. And she could have filled out for several reasons.

I have looked at Pamela for years and always doubted. But, She would be at the perfect age to start over. Disallusioned by university, adopted, siblings in Australia (if she knew about them), who am I? I got a degree that was expected of me, etc.

If you look in the photo her posture isn’t the greatest. You can lose some height slouching. And people can elongate a bit after death. She looks curvy enough to me to have filled out a bit over time. BG has that English/Australian phenotype to me. That’s why Marion Sanford always was one of my top thoughts in the past too. Mararion was possibly international drug trade, but the features seem distinct. But, Pamela keeps coming up for me.

Pamela has DNA from Australian siblings on file...Carbuff would you be interested in helping me submit?

They apparently thought Pamela was a victim of serial killer Peter Tobin, according to articles preserved in Porchlight: http://z10.invisionfree.com/usedtobedoe/index.php?showtopic=27179 But DNA tests came out negative. It says the family DNA is in a missing persons database but I don't know which one they mean--England's, probably?

Both the BA in Arts and the law student are correct as far as I know--her undergraduate degree was a general liberal arts degree, but she was due to start a law program in a few days after her vacation. (I'm not sure what "articled clerk" means in the English system.)

This address is listed in several places as the contact for Pamela's case: coldcaseteam@norfolk.pnn.police.uk

I hate to be the bummer here but I actually already submitted Pamela and was sent this reply:

Good Morning Audrey,

Thank you for providing your personal details for security reasons.

I have had chance to review both the Jane Doe and Pamela Exall for any similarities.

I agree with you the descriptions and pictures we have of Pamela are very similar and the age build of both are also close.
However having reviewed the circumstances of Pamela’s disappearance in 1974 I can say that the case was subsequently been reviewed in 2011 when kinship DNA was obtained from her family but unfortunately no matches were found.
There were no suspicious circumstances when she went missing. It was thought that it was highly likely that she had drowned in Norfolk. She had gone for a walk on her own having left all of her belongings behind.
There has been no proof of life since she went missing and a review of the case did not alter from the original opinion.

I have also very carefully looked at all the physical characteristics of both and whilst they are similar, the defining factor is that Pamela Exall was 5 feet tall (exactly) when she went missing, she was aged 22yrs and was therefore fully grown.
The Jane Doe in Miami was measured at 5’6” tall and therefore on that basis we can rule them out as being the same person.

I would like to pass on my thanks for taking the time and effort in contacting us and trust this will suffice.

I knew she had been discussed before somewhere. Thanks.

Though I wish it was on something more solid than the height mismatch. We've seen some truly inexplicable discrepancies. It's rare but...

I agree. I wish we could have taken the time to present a solid case and reason to have her looked at prior to it be submitted by someone else. Just a friendly reminder to newer websluetgs members...please do not submit other people’s potential matches. There are many reasons if a case is presented in the correct way LE might look into it further. Even if something is off, it is worth taking the time to present valid reasons to look at the case. We could have had a compelling case, even with height being off. She was not listed as ruled out, so it was worth presenting. Anyway...Her family is out there. I hope we find them soon.

Thank you Neurosleuth this is great.

Pamela won't likely be added to the ruleouts; they usually don't include non-US people.

If you go back to page 186 you'll find I had already brought up Pam, thanks though.
