This girl goes to my daughters' school and I just read about it today. I know it says she is "homeschooled" but according to the parent page for our school, she actually attends an online charter school. People frequently refer to students in our online charter as "homeschooled" because we do school at home. One piece of information that would be telling is whether or not she is still logging into her curriculum. She could complete her coursework anywhere she has access to a computer and wifi, even a public library.
If she has been a reliable student, and suddenly quits working on her course work just weeks away from the end of the year, that would be really suspicious. If she is still logging in, I would assume she is is choosing to be away from home.
This breaks my heart. She is either my middle daughter's classmate, or a year behind her. With the nature of our school though, we only know a handful of the other students.

Interesting comment on the facebook page

Agreed.
Alyssa is very young for so much responsibility--- maybe she just needed time away ?

I am more worried about who she might be with.

I had my son at 17 and his father had just turned 18. It was hard as heck. All my friends graduating and travelling before college or university. My sons father working his butt off as a roofer. (Byebye guitar dreams) I had to go to "special" school to finish my highschool once my son was born. We had both sets of grandparents helping. Financially, taking us out so we felt somewhat normal, babysitting whenever needed. It was soooooo hard. And I had support and my sons father. I feel for this lady. I really sense she is trying to be responsible. I don't feel like she just walked away. I think if she had a fight with her mom she would have made contact by now. (Not saying she fought with her mom but I moved in with my folks for abit with my son and that is a challenge in parenting sometimes)

I hope LE are really looking through all of her social media.

Thinking about the Facebook "lead." Does anyone know how to find a list of what was on the docket in a specific court on a specific day?

Most courts that are online let u publicly search using a date, case # or last name hth ...

Ugh.

MOO

Who runs away without grabbing their inhaler at least?

Was there any slight chance that our missing mom was going to be subpoenaed in a statuary rape case or that there was fear of it?

Again, MOO, I think she voluntarily left with someone she trusted because the back door was unlocked OR the back door was unlocked and someone came in through it and she cooperated for the sake of her baby.

Whatever happened, it feels hinky.

Great point about checking the logins or checking in with her teacher to see if she is turning in homework. Wondering if she left her school books behind.

Any records for Juvenile courts aren't online due to privacy issues.

But maybe this wasn't a juvenile case? Also interested in how plausible a two day gap from the time she was last seen at home to what was referenced on SM is.
