Those who have read my post on TOPIX know about my experience with the sheriff's department. I was looking at 40 acres in the southern part of the county when a couple of locals blocked my exit and accused me of trespassing. I was on the access to the property. When I was explaining to them why I was there and what I was told by the real estate lady they started to become enraged. I finally gave up and drove around them to get out and the driver threw his vehicle in reverse and tried to ram me. I relayed this to the real estate person and she said she would take care of it. After a couple of days of not hearing from her I emailed Sheriff James and relayed to him what happened. No response. This was the second weekend in February 2013.
A month later I returned to Oklahoma to look at some more land and while I was there I contacted the real estate person (she had never got back with me). She told me that the property was actually under contract a month before she sent me to look at it.(??????). Then she told me that another property owner had bought all the land around the parcel I wanted and had blocked access to it and was forcing the owner to sell at a lower price. I assume these was the guys who blocked me and attempted to ram me. When I returned home I sent another email to Sheriff James updating him. After the first visit I had researched law regarding right of ways, and property access. I knew that easements do not terminate when the property that it crosses is sold unless it is agreed to jointly and changed at the courthouse. The whole story sounded like BS. I still received no response from Sheriff James. This is the first week in March 2013.
Another month passed. It is around the middle of April and by this time I had started to find out about the Jamisons. I tracked down and called the actual land owner to find out if the story the real estate agent told me was true, and to my surprise she confirmed it. WOW! I sent one last email to Sheriff James and told him that the land owner had verified the real estate agent's story. I also told him that that would be the last email he would receive from me, but please remember my contact information in case the people blocking the road killed someone, or someone killed one or both of them so that the family of the person murdered or the person who had killed in self defense needed information for the lawyers. Sheriff James responded with one line: "I will investigate this".... That was April 2013....still waiting for someone to tell me what they found out.
The property that I wanted and had money in hand for and would have paid the asking price, stayed listed for a couple of months with no indication of being under contract then disappeared. Then reappeared again with no changes in description around September. After looking at land for the past 5 years I thought that I had found the perfect place to build my observatory when I retire. My hobby is astronomy and I have been taking some college classes to maybe get a teaching certificate when I retire. My goal throughout my working career was to return to SE Oklahoma. I am afraid that I am now looking other places to spend the second half of my life.
When I look at the similarities I thought LE enforcement would have more interest in my incident, but I guess not. The Jamesons were looking at forty acres of land in Latimer. Same as me. Indications are they were blocked on their exit. Same as me. I was able to get around the people blocking me, they apparently could not. After considering the number of people who seem to disappear in SE Oklahoma (still have not heard anything new about Heather Patrick) and seemingly apathy on the part of LE, I decided despite my love of OK from having lived there 30 years ago, there was no way I was going to move back there.
I was thinking that maybe as they were leaving, the Jamisons got into a fight. If Sherrilyn wasn't on her meds, she may have acted in an unstable manner. Grabbing the wheel of the car and causing Bobby to stop at that odd angle. Maybe she grabbed her gun, left the car and threatened to go shoot herself. She started for the woods and Bobby quickly left the car to chase after her; coming back for Madyson and without thinking clearly, he locked the dog and the keys in the truck. Most likely, both their spare keys were locked inside as well. After that, he may have chased her so far up in the woods that they couldn't find their way out; perhaps they thought they could sleep rough through the night and find help in the morning, not realizing they could die of hypothermia. Perhaps they both just gave up or she shot him and turned the gun on the child and herself. Being found on their stomachs, it looks like they just fell asleep and never woke up. I'm more inclined to think they died of exposure, not murder. Depression and desperation can cause some people to just give up permanently, to just lay down and die.
I would hate to think that LE is involved, but it would explain a lot. I relayed all this information to OSBI around November 1st, just a couple of weeks before the remains were found. One of the agents sent a reply that all information was welcome. Sounded like he 'copy and pasted' from a form letter.
Because of my reception I am very suspicious of the man they met the day before they disappeared. I wonder if it really was a friendly encounter?
Has anyone checked into who owns the property in the area and who was interested in the property that the Jamisons was looking at? My theory is that someone blocked them just for intimidation and it got out of hand. If you just want to just intimidate someone you cannot back them into a corner, especially an armed woman with a child. If you do not leave someone an escape route you will have to follow through. I think someone did not understand that.
I have not discounted something like this happening...SJ was bipolar and I think having an episode - if she indeed spray painted that abandoned truck. Then there's the letter she wrote that was found in the truck - indicating she wasn't entirely sold on moving to such an isolated place. I do think they could've had an argument that ended badly. I don't think it was premeditated, I think it just happened.
The problem with this is didnt we hear the witness talk about bullet holes in back of the head. If all 3 were shot in back of head, I cant see where suicide would be possible. I suppose we need a medical examiner report to confirm the wounds found on the skulls.
Why is nothing happening fast in the investigation? Something is wrong with that. Do local LE know the landowners?
Something doesnt seem right with how this case has been treated.
Why is Oklahoma so far behind on autopsies??!!! Why don't they fix the situation? From what I understand, the last state medical examiner had it a big mess and they got behind?? Why is it not important to the state of Ok to fix it? Why don't they hire some extra medical examiners and catch up? I know someone who died in an OTJ accident in Arkansas and his autopsy was done in 5 days and that included the weekend. I'm pretty sure Oklahoma is not a poor state, so why don't they clean some house and remodel? Hey not downing Oklahoma or Oklahomans at all; I've lived there and loved it and loved the people, and have numerous family members in the OKC area. Just don't understand the way the OSBI or LE handles the many situations you see talked about on blogs, etc. online. The guy from the LeFlore (sp) area had video and LE was a joke in that case. Can't remember his name, but watched/listened to all of his videos on Youtube. Is it really as bad as it seems as far as corruption in LE and/or is it more out of the f word -fear?? I love going to those Oklahoma casinos; maybe the state could take 1% of the taxes they collect from them and reinvent the SME's office?! I would contribute..lol! Sorry for the vent but the handling of this case has been :banghead:
