Housekeeper Rose Marie Chavez, who found the bodies Oct. 13, told police “Alan Hruby often argued with both parents concerning money and...she had witnessed injuries to Joy Hruby’s person, reportedly inflicted by Alan,” a police detective wrote in one affidavit.

The housekeeper said Hruby and his sister “did not get along due to the disagreements that he and their parents often had concerning money,” the detective reported.

A district attorney investigator reported police were called to the home four days before Christmas in 2012 because Hruby choked his mother during a confrontation. Stephens County District Attorney Jason Hicks told news reporters last week that assault was over money.
---
During his trip to steal the gun, Hruby was stopped by a Duncan police officer for a traffic violation early Oct. 9. (....) The investigator reported in one of the search warrant affidavits that Hruby gave the officer the fake name “Dakota Moore.” Hruby had used that fake name before — during a traffic stop in Duncan on April 24, 2010.

"A search of a storage unit owned by the Hruby family found a gun and the hard drive from the family’s home security system. Alan J. Hruby, who authorities say has confessed to killing his parents and sister, told investigators he had removed the gun and footage from the home after shooting his family members, Duncan Police Capt. Jay Evans said.Hruby initially told investigators he disposed of the gun and surveillance footage in Duncan Lake, Evans said. A police dive team that searched the lake found nothing, he said." bbm

If fam owned storage unit and it was part of one of their businesses, I wonder
if search warrant allowed LE to search only the storage unit (e.g. 5' x 10' or 10' x 20') that fam used.
IOW, did LE search only that one unit, or did they search other areas, perhaps an office in that business too?

Or perhaps 'owned' wording is not accurate. Maybe fam merely rented a storage unit at a storage business?

Link to affidavit for S/W, anyone?

Lies, lies, more lies from him.

ETA: More about S/Ws in this article:
"New details are in affidavits investigators prepared to get judicial permission to search his dorm room, his jeep, his cellphone, the family home and turnpike records."

Nothing about S/W for storage unit.

He's 19 y/o now?
Ap 24, 2010, he was 15? Depends on DoB. Back then was he licensed? Was he even of driving age?
Per below, if 15 y/o then, "Driving restrictions: To or from work; To or from school; Anytime/anywhere with licensed adult."
So if going to or from work, or to and from school, no licensed adult needed in car.
Easier to give LE fake name, w no 21 y/o there in car?

jm2cts and I could be wrong.

Gun thought used in Hruby family triple slaying found (Daily Oklahoman)

‣ A search warrant executed late Tuesday at a storage unit has turned up

the gun thought to be used in the Oct. 9 triple slaying of the Hruby family.

As if it weren't bad enough! Just pretty unbelievable to me that he kept the video surveillance and told the cops he threw it in the lake. We really are dealing with a psychopath here my friends.

Alan Hruby's social media activity since 2012 (Daily Oklahoman)

• Alan J. Hruby’s social media activity has been a hot topic ever since he was charged with
three counts of murder in the shooting deaths of his mother, father and sister on Oct. 8.

Can't wait to hear what his defense will be. Probably some mental health BS. Not that I think a jury would ever buy it. He had things way too planned out.

This is a good article with new Twitter post dating a while back. It sounds like he was in debt for more than $80,000. Taking money from old people is worse than taking candy from a baby in my book. A real narcissist/psychopath with a plan to carry out. He believed he was smart enough to get away with it.

Thanks, I agree. Good article. Says he stole grandmother's car at age 13. LE wants death penalty but are talking with family.

:ohoh:

Accused killer Alan Hruby was stopped for speeding by a police officer in the early morning hours of the day he is accused of killing his parents and sister, but he didn’t arouse any undue suspicion because the alias and date-of-birth he provided belonged to a real person, an attorney for the City of Duncan said Thursday in a statement.

~~~
“Dakota Moore is a real person whom Hruby is familiar with,” Wheeler said in a statement in response to an open records requests. “Hruby has a strong dislike for Dakota Moore and has used his name falsely on several different occasions when he has been pulled over.
“Because Hruby used a ‘real’ name and birth date, when the officer checked the information in his mobile cop computer it came back confirming the validity of ‘Dakota Moore’s’ driver’s license. Hence, Hruby was only given a citation for No DL in Possession.”
DUNCAN — A judge Thursday restricted what prosecutors, defense attorneys, police and investigators can say from now on about the evidence against a college student accused of murdering his parents and sister.
Alan J. Hruby, 19, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder. The University of Oklahoma freshman is accused of fatally shooting his parents and younger sister Oct. 9 inside their Duncan home.
Stephens County Special Judge Jerry Herberger issued the so-called “gag” order in an effort to “assure a fair trial in this matter.”
A Killer Unmasked: Alan Hruby, the Oklahoma Teen Who Murdered His Family
---
Shortly after Alan, 19, confessed to fatally shooting his mom, dad and younger sister – whose bloodied bodies lay undisturbed for nearly four days in the family's home in an affluent neighborhood in Duncan – those who knew him best shared their thoughts on the University of Oklahoma political science freshman.
"He always had this creepy smile on his face, like he had everything figured out," family friend Sandy Bruce tells PEOPLE. "But that picture they're showing of him now, he looks so evil and so cold. And those eyes are the eyes of the devil."
If you give the officer a name and he looks it up and it shows valid drivers license why in the h*** doesn't it also show a picture of the person? These are the holes the criminals know about, hruby used this person's name different times and got a way with it. If only there were a picture.... He would have been arrested for giving false info. Jmo
Eta. Maybe would have caught him with the gun before he murdered his family. Jmo
ciao
The officer probably just called it in and the dispatcher gave him the information on the status of the other guy and his DL so no way to see the photo. The DLs do have photos.
So shocked to learn of this from the People article. Smells like a psychopath to me, as many previous posters have noted. Reminds me of the book/film We Need to Talk About Kevin.
DUNCAN — A city attorney Friday refused to release several documents about prior police contact with murder defendant Alan J. Hruby, including a report alleging he choked his mother before Christmas in 2012.
“There are several documents that deal with non-traffic related matters that I am unable to turn over to you that deal with matters as to Alan Hruby before he reached the age of 18,” Assistant City Attorney Lawrence M. Wheeler said in an e-mail.
Most juvenile records are not public under Oklahoma law but there are exceptions if a defendant is later charged with murder.
