But he will be transported at a later date so IMO there is a hold up. A murder charge is obviously very serious so if they had what they needed to charge him they would have regardless of jurisdiction. Unless they are holding him solely on the theft charge at the moment and once he's transported he will be charged with murder.
I also wonder if he will challenge anything before he is transported. Its most likely they might be holding him on a probable cause, plus theft (IMO.)

This is different its a murder investigation so people will go back and look maybe at the time they may not realize it.
I didn't reference any case other than these murders. That the bikes and trailers are gone/hidden/destroyed is just more evidence that there was an attempt to cover up the crime. The men could have teleported to the scene, been dropped off by a driver, or walked.
I doubt the prosecutor will be worried about the disappearing bike defense. It would be better for the defendant if the bikes and trailers were found so as to show the theft motive of the victims being at his scrap yard.

They have no reason to file murder charges before he is returned to Oklahoma. No one is delaying anything and there is no issue with jurisdiction. When he is released by Florida, there is already an Oklahoma warrant in place for his leaving the state/violating the terms of a prior case.

I just found this article about the catalytic converter schemes and a recent nation-wide arrest of at least 21 people involved in this.

Get this: The Dept of Justice is seeking forfeiture of over $545 MILLION in connection with this case. That kind of money gets some really big bad crooks involved. Will be most interesting to see who the major players in this are.

A significant number of people arrested are from small towns in Oklahoma. I would not rule out the stolen catalytic convertor racket as being significant to this case.

Just linking this here due to the discussions of catalytic converter thefts in Oklahoma and possibly this case.

"Amidst a rise in catalytic converter thefts across the country, the Justice Department has today carried out an operation arresting 21 defendants and executing 32 search warrants in a nation-wide takedown of a multimillion-dollar catalytic converter theft network,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. “We will continue to work alongside our state and local partners to disrupt criminal conspiracies like this one that target the American people.”
[...]
"A federal grand jury in the Northern District of Oklahoma charged 13 defendants with conspiracy to receive stolen catalytic converters, conspiracy to commit money laundering and other similar charges."

Wasn't one of the theories about the caper the 4 thieves were planning, about the possibility of a big delivery of catalytic converters to the junkyard?

More:
I wonder if information Kennedy may have provided to LE could have been relevant to this bust.

"Last month, an Instagram account held by Lovin Khanna, with username “DG_cars_NJ,” shared a photo of a catalytic converter necklace. It was captioned with a winking emoji and the name, Aman Khanna.

Two weeks before the federal sting was announced, the same account shared a short video clip, captioned “When police escorts you back to your junk yard after dropping box full of powder on side of the road.”

According to the article, the ringleader is Lovin Khanna. A photo of his mansion is included in the article.

It appears to be a very high-stakes operation the Okmulgee 4 had sought to take advantage of. This latest news gives additional perspective to prior comments, that the murders seemed like those of a cartel operation. It's possible Kennedy wasn't the murderer, but was left to clean up the mess and dispose of the bodies, though all we can do is speculate and try to connect the dots at this point.

This is going to be an interesting story, if the details are ever released.

Not surprising FL chose not to charge him.

I wonder if OCSO will release the PCA when they charge him once home? Not familiar with OK, how do they indict?

I sure hope so. It's been almost a month of him still being labeled a "person of interest". I'd thought they'd at least call him a prime suspect by now.

Right now, Oklahoma doesn't need to charge him. They can throw him in jail for a parole violation. If necessary, they can charge him with car theft.

There is a good chance LE suspects him of the murders, but doesn't yet have enough evidence to charge him. They don't seem to be in a big rush to get him back to OK.

Exactly my thoughts. If they had sufficient evidence to charge murder, they would have done so. The murder weapon is likely buried or in a river somewhere between Oklahoma and Florida ..... and will never be found.

These are my exact thoughts. Who knows where the murder weapon is. They may simply not have enough to charge him. The theft is enough and the probable cause. Although down the road what will happen to the probable cause part if they don't have enough evidence? I realize right now they maybe gathering it. But one would think something would have come into play by now. No CCTV, that would aid in probable cause. But is that the reason for probable cause. I wonder what is the grounds for the probable cause. Phone records? It might be too early to hve received them yet? We've seen in other cases on Websleuths where it takes a while for phone evidence to be brought or produced.
But wait I thought they were going to charge him with theft? Doesn't it state here that they won't? If they have nothing eventually they will have to let him go. This case is a confusing one.

Exactly, they already issued a warrant for his probation violation.
i thought he would have been extradited within a week. I can’t believe he’s still in Florida

This is a repeat conversation, Florida didn't decide to release him from auto theft until recently. he could not be returned to Oklahoma earlier.
It is normal in murder cases to not charge a suspect until they are in custody. It means nothing that the prosecutor has not yet filed the charges.

Not true.

It would take too long to describe all the evidence that I think exists in this case but to start with, we know for a fact that there is a video of the gas station where the victim's cell phone was tracked to the night he was murdered. LE stated the victim was not at the gas station, per the VIDEO. Logic says that the suspect had the phone but LE is not going to release what exactly the video shows. LE does or will have the same information given by the wife, that shows the phone was at TWO locations of businesses owned by the suspect. The phone went from the north scrap yard, next door to the dismemberment field, to the gas station, and then to the south scrap yard.
