Russell was also accused of willful maladministration by allowing James Conn Nipp to meet with family members unattended by any Sheriff's Officer personnel in a room where evidence was stored.

WTH???? Unbelievable. So pretty much anybody who was awaiting trial at that time and had evidence stored in that room can probably get it thrown out because the evidence room was breached. Thank god this county is small.

Grand jurors alleged the sheriff also let a fugitive stay at the house for a couple of weeks last year even though she had four warrants out for her arrest. The woman was dating his son at the time.

The woman told investigators that the sheriff's son “assured her that it's the safest place you can be,” but then the son used the situation against her... “Anytime, she said, that she would try to stop his advances or not want to have sex ... he would remind her, ‘You've got warrants and as long as you are here dating me, you are not going to get arrested,'" the agent said.

The woman admitted using methamphetamine while at the sheriff's house, investigators reported. She was arrested by the sheriff himself days after she ceased dating his son and moved out, investigators reported.

IMO the following statement by the FBI is referring to Molly and Colt as two of the three missing persons ( I don't know who the third missing person is that was found). I am curious if the FBI thinks Molly and Colt had or knew of evidence against the sheriff as well as his cousin Con Nipp and that is why they are missing.

"The FBI agent testified that the investigation of the sheriff has been difficult because three people in the area have disappeared. The remains of one missing person were later found but the other two people have not been seen since 2013, he said."

Mostly information reported elsewhere, but it does have some additional information about Bamburg.

That information is not necessarily related to Molly and Colt, but it goes in a direction interesting to me that I follow.

No probable cause docs posted at the Ardmorite, either.

No doubt to me that the FBI is indeed taking a good look at a number of things going on in Love County. I see a strong likelihood of a federal indictment in Russell's future.

I've heard stories out of Love and Carter counties ever since I was a teenager. I'm from across the river and have distant family in both counties.

Bamburg is currently a guest of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections in Oklahoma City. She has been their guest since February 2016.

It's apparent to me that she is a cooperating witness with regard to Russell.

I wonder if she had her more interesting tats when she was said to have been harbored by Russell?

I hope the investigation will provide answers for the families and some further justice. Credit to them for having the courage and persistence to spur things to where they are today.

The circumstances around his death have not been fully determined AFAIK. His disappearance and death has been looked at in these threads on Molly and Colt.

Hard to read fully into what the FBI knows/thinks about the relationship of these missing persons to the actions of Sheriff Russell.

At the least the agent was testifying that persons in Love County are fearful of Russell.

I suspect the FBI has good cause to believe those fears are grounded in reality.

Jordan Buckaloo went missing in 2011. His remains were found at Lake Murray in Love County in February 2012.

I don't know if his death was ever ruled as a homicide. At the time his remains were discovered, his death was called suspicious.

Molly and Colt were likely too young to have known Buckaloo or have any direct knowledge about his death.

I never thought I would see the day. He truly has thought he was above the law.

So thankful for the lady who is testifying against him!!! He is one dishonest lawman. Now, let's hope this brings about justice for Molly and Colt!!! I hope if he stays behind bars, someone who is afraid of retribution will come forward with additional information against him. Hoping beyond hope that some phones are tapped and some mouths will run!
