What I'm really not understanding is why the "Good Samaritan" dropped off the phone at dq. If I found it in the parking lot laying there, then hey, ok, I could see turning it in to dq. But seeing it thrown from a vehicle and being curious enough to check it out but not think serious enough to take it to the police?

Maybe he was just passing through on his way somewhere and got off the freeway for gas or food. Or works nights and was on his way to work? Perhaps he thought the people would come looking for it or call it, and this way they could get it back? There isn't much in that town and maybe DQ was the only thing open.

Thanks for being here, David. Her Instagram is full of videos. Unless these are old, she looks heavier than 135 (I'm also 5'2 and more than 135 lbs so I'd know :D). No judgement...I just wonder why the "skinnier" photos are on the poster.

She also posted a photo of her driver's license, which seems strange. There is a disturbing comment about it.

She calls herself "Cheerleader of positivity." Her brother has posted a plea.

Her family is now begging anyone who saw Demi’s car, at any time on Saturday night, to call police. The vehicle is described as a black 2013 Volkswagen beetle Fender Edition.

Police also are asking anyone who saw Demi in the past week to talk to investigators. They’re looking for any leads to try and figure out where she is.

If you have any helpful information in the case, call the sheriff’s office at 503-846-2500.

How do we know that is her social media? Now I have questions! Is Demi her real name or is it Daisy? The reason I ask is she seems pretty into Demi Levato based on that one page so did she change her name?

I don't think she changed her name. There is a post quoting her mother about Demi's birth and she refers to her as Demi. Daisy Dawson is a book character. But yes, she does like Demi Lovato. I imagine she not only likes her singing, but relates to her personally, based on some of her posts and what I've read about Demi Lovato's struggles.

Sounds like an abduction to me. I think the perp did something to her, then proceeded down I-5 with her car, stopping at Creswell and dumping the phone, then traveling on the Cottage Grove where the car was dumped. My question does the perp live in or near Cottage Grove? Where did he/she go after dumping the car? I see there is public transit to other areas from Cottage Grove, maybe the perp jumped on a bus to another town? Ugh, this doesn’t sound good at all.

Car looks super clean....Hmmm....

So the Mobil station the car was left at sits on Pacific Highway 99, which also goes past Creswell. I'm wondering if the perp took that highway as it would be less traveled than I-5.

Does anyone know (or has it been published somewhere) if this was the first Landmark conference she had attended,or was she a 'devotee' (for want of a better word).

Also, I don't find it strange that phone guy handed the phone in at DQ: this happened ALL the time when I worked in a business with a busy parking lot. We had quite a collection.

More about Demi.

She played herself in a "Teen Idol" Movie.

Her profile on a hiking meet-up group. It sounds as if she had already embraced Landmark teachings when she wrote this almost a year ago. She's a member a large variety of 28 other meet-ups.

I haven't found a FB page so far. I hope she's OK, Her parents must be frantic.

Here are posts about her disappearance on FB.

This seems to indicate she had attended the conferences before.

I agree with the disturbing comment on her Instagram pic of the Driver's License. Maybe it's just a person with a cautionary warning but it seems suspicious, especially when she is not confirmed dead, just missing!

My search tells me the Instagram commenter is either a teenager from Aberdeen, WA or a guy in his mid-thirties from Portland. Creepy if it’s the guy from Portland, a little too close to where she disappeared.

Demi/Daisy's brother has access to her IG account (I think, given he posted on it) & can workout who the commenter is, or LE can.

Oh I’m sure LE is all over her social media accounts by now, I’m sure they’ve seen it. The person’s name is right on the account so it’s not like they’re trying to hide their identity, it’s just that there are a couple of people in Oregon and Washington with that name.

I agree that its not strange that phone guy would hand the phone in at the DQ (I've turned in phones I've found to businesses or schools), but the odd part of the story is that he claims to have seen it being tossed from a car. That scenario is quite a bit different than a phone accidently slipping out of a pocket or purse and being lost in a parking lot.

I agree it’s normal to turn in a phone to a business it was found near, thinking someone accidently dropped it, etc. but seeing someone toss the phone and then giving it to the DQ employees? Why would you do that if you knew it wasn’t lost and watched someone toss it out a window? Doesn’t really make sense.

Lane county transit goes throughout lane County which is a huge county all the way from like Eugene area to the coast including cottage Grove
