My heart & prays go out to LaVoy Finicum's family he was just murdered with his hands up in Burns OR.Ryan Bundy has been shot in the arm

If that were true I am sure they would have shot them all - why just shoot the guy with his hands up in the air?

FBI: Several Arrested, 1 Militant Dead In Malheur Occupation

UPDATE: (7:46 p.m.) The FBI confirmed that Peter Santilli, age 50, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was arrested in Burns, Oregon. He faces the same federal felony charge as the other individuals arrested Tuesday night.

UPDATE: (6:57 p.m.) The FBI and Oregon State Police arrested six people in connection to the occupation at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. One person was killed.

Ammon Bundy, Ryan C. Bundy, Brian “Booda” Cavalier, Shawna Cox and Ryan W. Payne were all arrested Tuesday night along Highway 395 between Burns and John Day, police said.

Officials said one person suffered non-life threatening injuries. The injured person was reportedly transferred to a local hospital.

I'm sad that anyone got killed. However, if Lavoy gets held up as a martyr who died as a result of police brutality, I'm going to rage quit the Internet.

I'm not being facetious, honestly, but if these guys are going to promote #HandsUpDontShoot wrt LaVoy I'm not sure Twitter wouldn't implode.

I think this experience took its toll on Lavoy. He was on the edge. It doesn't surprise me if he's the one killed.

All his talking about not wanting to spend time in a concrete box and he'd rather be dead than in a cell... how do you come back from that?

Though I also wonder if maybe he was so confident they wouldn't shoot him he did something stupid.

Also, having the delusional conviction that you're acting in the interests of your country, then becoming a laughing stock, not sure how you come back from that either. It's a sad place to be.

A handful of supporters and enablers in positions of authority have been waiting to capitalize on a martyr outcome. Or to manufacture a martyr if none was forthcoming, I guess. Predictable.

I don't have a poop to give about any militants killed over this farce. Live by armed sedition, die by armed sedition.

If that makes me a bad person, so be it.

You know what's really sad? These guys, and others like them, are so, so close mentally to the terrorist groups they claim to abhor. Group think, paranoia, overtly religious - of their own, particular brand - fear of outsiders/those who are different, fear of democratically elected government officials just doing their jobs. I could go on.

Yet I'm sure some of them are veterans, and they just don't see how their actions in these militias and compounds and overall fear make them more like the enemy they fought overseas than your everyday American. The everyday American they claim to be "protecting".

JMO as always.

My story on the militia arrests. Here's what Cliven Bundy said when I told what happened. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-oregon-standoff-20160126-story.html …

Hey Bundy. Remember that bumper sticker aimed at Viet Nam war protesters that said "America, Love it or Leave It?" I bet you even had one.

Yes, we do live in a wonderful country. If you think it's so awful, there are plenty more out there. Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

Oregon standoff spokesman Robert 'LaVoy' Finicum killed, Bundys in custody after gunfight near Burns

BURNS – Oregon standoff spokesman Robert "LaVoy" Finicum was killed and other top leaders of the wildlife refuge occupation were arrested Tuesday after law enforcement officials stopped vehicles about 15 miles north of Burns.

Authorities did not release the name of the person killed at the highway stop, but two sources told The Oregonian/Oregonlive that it was Finicum, one of the cowboy-hat wearing faces of the takeover.

This is unbelievable. Talk about being on the run - people are saying Santilli is an FBI informant - this video almost makes me believe it.
